Full Name: Arthas Menethil
Nicknames: Ner'Zhul, the Lich King
Age: ?
Height: ?
Weight: ?
Race: Human body possessed by an undead soul, so I would say undead.
Alliance: He's more evil then Umbra... LOL!
Home: Lordaeron
Franchise: Warcraft III and World of Warcraft
Physical Description: Arthas looks like he's insane. He has long white hair and black orbs for eyes, but that's when he's not wearing the black helmet that covers his face. He wears black plate armor that is frosted over with the unmeltable ices of Northrend.
Weapons: Frostmourne, the cursed sword.
Abilities/Powers:
Death Coil: It will heal his troops as well as other undead creatures and it will damage the living.
Death Pact: He can kill one of his troops and drain their energy to heal himself.
Unholy Aura: Arthas' presence there is enough to make his troops speed up and regenerate faster.
Raise Dead: When Arthas kills someone, he can raise them as one of his undead troops.
Reincarnation: For a limited time, Arthas can raise 6 units, invincible, to fight for him. I'd say ten posts.
Skills: Killing, raising the dead, and so on.
Personality: Arthas is cold-hearted and evil. Once a devout Paladin of the Light, his vengeful nature towards the Scourge has corrupted him into one of them. Now fused with the Lich King, he is more intelligent then he was before and comes out only when planning a conquest. He cares not for others and has no friends, save for Kel-Thuzad the Lich... Only enemies.
History: Arthas was born to King Terenus Menethil. At age nineteen, he was inducted into the Order of the Silver Hand. It all started with Arthas slaying orcs with his superior, Uther The LightBringer, when word of a mysterious plague reached him. He and his comrade and former lover, Jaina Proudmoore, who it is rumored that Arthas fought for against Prince Kael'Thas Sunstrider in Quel'Thalas, went to investigate. They found a necromancer named Kel'Thuzad who would continue to tell Arthas about his fate. Eventually he was slain by Arthas and Jaina, but it was too late. The plague was spread via the grain and many humans had consumed it and began decaying, turning into undead for the Scourge. Arthas had agonized his loss to save the people of Hearthglen and, when they reached Stratholme, Arthas decided to purge the town. Uther and Jaina refused and Arthas removed Uther of his command. Once the loyal Alliance soldiers had left, Arthas and his followers killed the citizens in their sleep. A dreadlord named Mal'Ganis appeared and taunted Arthas by turning some of the citizens into zombies for the Scourge to use, forcing Arthas to race Mal'Ganis in his purge. He won and Mal'Ganis went up to Northrend. Arthas pursued him there with his little band of followers and found an old friend, Muradin Bronzebeard. The two quickly joined forces to defeat the undead that threatened Muradin and his people. Upon questioning, Muradin explained to Arthas that he was here to search for a legendary blade named Frostmourne. When King Terenus sent his emissary to bring Arthas and his men back, Arthas purchased the services of mercenaries to burn the ships that would take them back, only to blame it all on them and have his army destroy them. Muradin was shocked, but Arthas did not care. Rage and vengeance had driven him mad. When he and Muradin finally reached the sword, Frostmourne, after battling through the creatures guarding it, Muradin saw it was cursed and tried to convince Arthas to leave. Arthas wouldn't hear it. He broke the ice and a shard killed Muradin. Unmoved by his death, Arthas took Frostmourne and led his troops into victory against Mal'Ganis, but at a shocking discovery, though not so shocking to Arthas. The blade was a tool of the Lich King, the Lord of the Dead, and it had corrupted Arthas' soul. Arthas killed Mal'Ganis and returned home. But when he came back, he killed his own father and took control of the kingdom of Lordaeron.
When Arthas was summoned away, he was fully corrupted, no longer a Paladin, but a Death Knight, and was greeted by a Dreadlord named Tichondrius. Tichondrius explained in full detail this time about Frostmourne taking Arthas' soul, to which he said, "Then I shall make due without one." It was up to Arthas to gather together Kel'Thuzad's Cult of the Damned, then to recover the remains of the necromancer for ressurection. Once found, Kel'Thuzad's ghost appeared and he warned Arthas not to trust the Dreadlords. Tichondrius told Arthas to get a sacred urn to carry the remains in and Arthas killed many Paladins to get it, including his teacher, Uther. From there, he invaded the Elfin home of Quel'Thalas, killing General Ranger Sylvanas Windrunner and turning her into a banshee. From there, Arthas used the Sunwell, the Elves source of magic, to ressurect Kel'Thuzad. The Sunwell is corrupted and destroyed and Kel'Thuzad is reborn a Lich. From there, Kel'Thuzad explained about the plague being an initial strike from the Burning Legion, a group of demons that had employed Dreadlords and rampaged the Great Dark Beyond. From there, Arthas and Kel'Thuzad crushed a Blackrock Orc Village guarding a demonic portal. Kel'Thuzad used it to talk to a demon of great power known as Archimonde, who told Kel'Thuzad how to summon a portal that would allow the demon entry into the world of Azeroth. Arthas and Kel'Thuzad had to travel to Dalaran and get the Book of Medivah. Kel'Thuzad then used the book to summon Archimonde, who's first order of buisness was to crush Dalaran, which he did easily.
Not much is seen of Arthas from there, but he confronts Illidan and tells him how to get the Skull of Gul'Dan so that the Night Elf Demon Hunter can kill their mutual enemy, Tichondrius. After that, Illidan is known as "The Betrayer."
A long time later, Arthas returns to Lordaeron from Kalimdor and destroys the Dreadlords there, saying he is King. It's then reveiled that, even before Arthas was born, the Lich King pushed Frostmourne from the Frozen Throne for Arthas to find. A fracture in the Frozen Throne is causing the Lich King to lose his power, and, since Arthas is linked to the Lich King through Frostmourne, he suffers the same. Sylvanas regains her independence. She and her banshees rebel and she tries to kill Arthas, only to fail by Kel'Thuzad's interference. Arthas went back to Northrend at the Lich King's summons and met up with a legendary Nerubian King named Azub'Arak. Cutting through the ancient kingdom of Azjol-Nerub, they slaughtered many of Illidan's naga and blood elf warriors, as well as some dwarves along the way. At Icecrown, Arthas is infused with power again from the Lich King. He and his army holds back Illidan's Army. At the Frozen Throne, he and Illidan face off and Illidan is defeated. From there, Arthas ascends to the Frozen Throne, ignoring the voices from his past. He releases the Lich King from his prison. The Lich King is seen only to be armor, but as Arthas puts it on, the spirit of the Lich King fuses with his to form a powerful new being. Now the Lich King, Arthas rules the Scourge from Northrend, his loyal vassal Kel'Thuzad ruling the Scourge in Lordaeron, Sylvanas and her rebel band of Forsaken with only Tirisfal.
