Physical Description (Human Form)
Shigemi is a noticably muscular man with a daker Asian complexion and enough of an air of intimidation he looks at most people and they suddenly find better things to do. He has medium length hair, and his bangs are spiked upwards. Most of his hair is bleach blond, but his bangs are black - the latter of which is his natural hair color in this form.
He is wearing what appears to be a blood red school uniform, although the left breast pocket where the crest should be instead has a bone button with the shi/death kanji on it. There are signs that the original crest was ripped off. The shirt underneath it is black and halfway unbuttoned from the top, and the top jacket never seems to be closed. On his collar is a black metal button that looks like the roman numeral for three, indicating him as a third year. His boots are black and polished, and his socks are also black although not generally visible under his pants.
His hands are wrapped in bandage tape, but spiked metal knuckles (a sign of spiked brass knuckles) come out from under them. Shigemi can also generally be seen with a cigarette in his mouth and he actually has a pack and a zippo lighter in his breast pocket. He's got a nasty scar running from the left side of his mouth over to his left ear. He's got two piercings in his right ear. The lower one has a bone carved out of a bone halfway through (it sticks out on both sides) and the top one has a brass stud.
Physical Description (Demon/True Form)
Shigemi is deathly skinny in this form. His face is sunken in and hollow and his bones are all clearly visible. His skin is technically the same base tone as in his human form, but it's pale as if in death. His eyes are straight and white, and no matter what angle he turns his head or where he is looking, they don't appear to move. He also lacks eyelids, so they are always open. His ability to stand perfectly still makes him able to mimic a dead body perfectly.
His hair is of the same length and basic style. However, the spikes wave as if flames and the ends of his hair are raised and move in a phantom wind - they only stop this if he takes the effort to still them, and then all of his hair lays limp.
His fingers are longer than human norm in this form, and the tips of the finger bones are razor sharp and actually extend out of his flesh. His clothes hang limp from his body due to the weight difference, and are prone to falling off.
When he smiles, it looks as if a skeleton is smiling due to how underweight he is.
Weapons (Both Forms)
Shigemi has spiked brass knuckles he can usuall be seen wearing, wrapped onto his wrists with bandage tape. He also carries a switchblade knife in his back pocket - it's made entirely out of bone (aside from the hinge function, which is steel) and has his name carved into the side of the handle in English along with the "shi/death" kanji at the end of it. The other side has the word "DEATH" carved in English and the kanji for his first name at the end of it.

Shigemi has no external weapons native to his demon form, but he does have a power that can create them. It's covered in Abilities/Powers.
Abilities/Powers (Both Forms)
Shigemi is able to communicate with ghosts and other wandering spirits of the deceased. He can also tell when a person will die if they are close to death (within a week). If that readout vanishes, he knows they've changed their fate, but it's rare and tends to take him by surprise. He's able to read when a person has a terminal disease in any stage, but he can't tell how much longer they have.
It's near impossible to kill Shigemi due to his heritage, but the method of him coming back is a bit on the tricky side. He can only revive if his bones have turned to ash by burning or begun to decompose due to age. His rate of decay is that of a normal human.
Shigemi can call dead spirits and souls to himself to gain energy, allowing him to win battles of attrition or boost his powers in areas with a lot of death. He can drain a spirit out of existance, which robs them of the chance of rebirth. Death as athiests see it, in other words. However, this power has limitations in human form - he can only feed from one spirit at a time while in human form, and if the spirit is capable of possession they can actually do so if he does not change to his true form fast enough. Spirits can't take him to demon form (it would expel them instantly) or use his powers, but they can control him in human form and use any powers they may have had in life through him.
Shigemi can see grim reaper/shinigami based gods/spirits, as well.
Abilities/Powers (Demon Form)
Shigemi can grow his bones out from his wrists to create a pair of large oversized scythes attached to his arms. These resemble the blades of many popular depictions of kamaitachi, or sickle weasels. He is also able to force the soul out of a body if he slashes them at location where their soul is most strongly housed. This is balanced by the fact that even he can't tell that until after he's inflicted the injury, and he has to slice open the entire area the soul is housed. The ability is functionally useless on people who have their spirit in balance over their entire body.
He is able to collect dead spirits and souls into himself and unleash them in energy like attacks. It should be note that he can't fight from a distance without access to some spirits, but he can control how much of their energy is expended to allow him a greater timeframe for battle. The attacks can cut as if he were throwing the edges of his blade, but they do less damage than his blade directly could. They can also hit as an energy attack, doing damage similr to how a ki-based attack might.
Skills (Both)
Shigemi is really fast. Just how fast that is depends on his form, in human form he's Olympic athlete level, although he has to choose whether to sprint in bursts or marathon at a slower rate. In true form he'd not be picked up on a still camera or any normal human. He only appears as a blur when he turns or does anything else that requires a slow down. He's also really really agile, and could dodge a lot of attacks even without superhuman speed.
He's kind of abyssmal at inflicting damage without a weapon. It's not that he's weak, he's just not trained in unarmed combat. It's part of why he has his brass knuckles tied on in human form. As a human he has average defensive abilities in terms of being able to take a hit. Certainly not that of a brawler. In his true form it's even worse. He'd crumple at a physical hit due to him basically being a walking skeleton with hanging flesh.
He's good at leading via both real leadership skills and flat out intimidation. He's really good at intimidation. He's got an amazing grasp on strategy and how to run a group. He's good at instilling loyalty towards him.
Personality
Shigemi is manipulative beyond belief. He aids no one without having at least two ways they can be of use to him figured out. He does not make attachments to anyone, including those under him in his gang. However, he understands their value and the inner workings of human loyalty and therefore puts of a front of caring about them. He makes no illusion about being willing to slit the throat of any of his subordinates, but surprisingly enough he rules by example more than fear.
He is unforgiving towards weakness. If someone under his command can't pull their own weight, he'll kill them. His nickname of Shinigami is related to the myth among his superiors that he knows exactly how long they have to live - and he'll fulfill his own prophecies by having them dead. He doesn't appreciate people who don't know their place for any reason - ignorance is no excuse.
History
Shigemi was born as a part of a breeding program run by the demons of Bazaroth, a demonic realm connected to one Earth or another. His father was one of the demon lords in Bazaroth, a immensely powerful Shinigami/Death God. His mother was a human woman who attempted to take Shigemi's life and took her own right after. Shigemi was saved from the brink of death by his father and then taken under his wing for the next fifteen years, where he was more or less beaten for coming so close to death at the hands of his mother.
At fifteen he was transferred to the training program created by the demons of Bazaroth to lead the Apocalypse onto Earth. He trained alongside many other half-breeds like himself, including a child by the name of Shinobu Kurosumi. The two had quite a bit of friction and would get into frequent fights, including several about the program and it's pros (Shigemi's points) and cons (Shinobu's points). Shigemi killed Shinobu several times, but the nature of their being meant it was never permanent. The biggest friction in their rivalry came when Shigemi learned how to kill Shinobu for real - and was prevented from performing the kill or be killed teachings taught in the program from his teachers. Shinobu never understood the hatred after he came back from that death, and Shigemi never directly stated his hatred of Shinobu's favored status.
Shigemi was a good enough student and loyal enough to the cause to be transferred over to Earth to begin his infiltration when he about one hundred years old. He took the form of a sixteen year old human boy as per his training and was enrolled in a local high school, where he proceeded to found a gang which he called the Death God Alliance (in English despite being located in Japan). Shigemi stumbled upon an open Gate one day and went through it out of curiosity, and ended up on Dimension Island... and the gate crumpled behind him, a sign it's Key had been killed.
Shigemi got himself enrolled in a local school on Dimension Island, one that catered to Japanese immigrants from other worlds. The enrollment process was no issue, as the Island was used to displaced people. It took him all of a week to found the Neo Death Gods gang, where he's been for about two years.
