The world was dark, coated with clouds. Rain poured down and drenched all that stood under it. Considering he wasn't able to catch diseases, this did not bother Leslie. It did, however, lead to him keeping Ninetails in her ball as opposed to by his side, as he usually preferred. Walking up to the Church, he opened the door and walked inside lightly. "It feels like... many things have happened here," he replied. Lightning struck outside, illuminating the area. He walked towards the alter and looked up. A crucifix adorned the wall. He blinked lightly in confusion. Naturally he did not know much about religion, so he didn't know where exactly he was or what the building's purpose was. All he knew was the aura of the place. It felt... odd. Inviting, yet repelling at the same time. He sighed, turning around... and what he saw at the door froze his blood cold.
There, in the doorway, stood a cold eyed blonde woman... with a sadistic grin wrought on her face. That grin... he knew it too well.
"Eevee!" Leslie burst through the door into the experimentation chamber, but what he saw made his heart ache and his nausea rise. The creature on the table was no longer his beloved friend, but a mutation of science used for evil ends. The various evolved parts were twitching lightly, the former Eevee's breath ragged and uneven, unable to process oxygen at all. The creature was dying. His best friend was dying. And standing there, the scientist that had caused it all, was the woman who kidnapped him in the first place. When she turned around to look at him, a wide grin adorned her face.
"Long time no see," Inozuka said. "How long has it been since I killed your best friend?"
"You..." Leslie snarled. Growling loudly, his eyes narrowed from their usual calm demeanor into monstrous looking slits. He then rushed at her, like any basic warrior would do. "I'm going to kill you!"
Inozuka yawned. As Leslie charged at her, she knew this was going to be easy. A perfect specimen again a failed experiment? There was nothing he could do. The moment his fist tried to strike her, her body glowed red. Counter. The recoil upon him caused him to fall back, taking a lot more damage then she took from the one hit upon her face. "Kill me? No. I think it's the other way around. After all, I have a score of my own to settle."
The Ninetails laid waste to the lab. Everything and everyone was set on fire. Inozuka ran, looking for her parents. "Mother! Father! We have to evacuate! Now!" She burst through one door and found her mother dead on the floor, charred and burned beyond recognition. Right there was the Ninetails. In his maw, practically bitten in half, was the enraged Ninetails. His eyes bore into hers and he shot a mighty Fire Blast at her. With instincts honed by training, she called up a Light Screen and reflected the blast back at him. While he recovered, she made her escape from the complex altogether.
"Do you consider yourself different from me, murderer of people?"
"Don't play that cliche! All of Team Rocket deserves to die!" Leslie jumped back up and threw another punch at her. Instead of countering it again, however, she caught his fist and delivered her own attacks, punching him square in the nose twice before giving him a roundhouse kick that sent him flying halfway across the main clearing and into a bench, breaking it in half.
"You were always weak, Leslie. Maybe if you could just accept that you're better then a human, you'd be able to defeat me."
