Physical Description
Rainbow Dash's leathery skin is blue, her mane and tail hairs colored all colors of the rainbow, hence her name. On her flank is a multi colored lightning bolt striking from a cloud. This "cutie mark" tells that not only is Rainbow Dash destined to manage the clouds, but she is also extremely fast. For the most part, the denizens of Equestria do not deal with clothes. Why would they, they're ponies. Rainbow Dash definently doesn't feel the need to wear fashion herself unless the occasion calls for it.
Weapons
She doesn't use weapons. As a pony, why would she? Besides, if she needed combat, she has good resources on her own.
Abilities/Powers
Rainbow Dash likes to brag and boast about her speed, claiming to be the fastest in Equestria. And further proof shows that this is not a fabrication; amongst Rainbow Dash's techniques is an ability known as the Sonic Rainboom. With this, she breaks the sound barrier, hitting mach speeds, and creates a resulting shockwave. Rainbow Dash also has a number of other aerial techniques, such as the Super Speed Strut or the Fantastic Filly Flash. Another good combat technique would be the Buccaneer Blaze, which, while not shown on screen, somehow creates lightning bolts and an explosion.
Skills
As a Pegasus pony, Rainbow Dash can naturally manipulate clouds. She clears or creates the weather as she pleases and could probably use this to bring a thunder cloud into her enemies before activating, causing severe electrical shock. She's also fast enough to create a tornado if spinning around at high speeds.
Personality
Rainbow Dash symbolizes the elemental harmony of loyalty. This was epitomized when she chose her friends over becoming captain of a flying team (albeit one that did not exist) and proves that, even in the most stressful of situations, she will remain true to her friends. That being said, Rainbow Dash is brash and bold, if not a bit reckless. She certainly likes to boast a lot and prefers to take action where words might be able to help. She doesn't like to lose and has shown she might even cheat to win and is very afraid of making a fool out of herself. She can also be quite lazy, though when it comes to competition, she'll be the first to step up to the plate. Despite all of this, Rainbow Dash is still a steadfast companion for the ponies to have. Courageous, brave, and with unwavering loyalty.
History
Born in the Pegasus city of Cloudsdale, Rainbow Dash attended a flight school and earned her cutie mark by winning a race and inventing the technique known as the Sonic Rainboom. Somehow this first Sonic Rainboom was the catalyst that would lead to the other main six ponies getting their cutie marks. Supposedly a dropout, Rainbow Dash moved to Ponyville afterwards in order to work on weather management. It is here that she crashed into Twilight Sparkle for the first time and eventually accompanied her to defeat Nightmare Moon. From that time on, Rainbow Dash and the other five ponies were close friends. However, Rainbow Dash has aspirations of her own. One of her greatest dreams is to become a part of the Wonderbolts, a team of fliers that have been compared to the real life Blue Angels... 'cept they're ponies. This is her reason for bugging Twilight in The Ticket Master, as they were performing in the party that Twilight was invited to. She also had an old friend named Gilda, who was surprisingly a gryphon. However, when Gilda showed her true colors at a party Pinkie Pie was hosting, Rainbow Dash called the friendship off. Rainbow Dash has done and helped in many different things, and is sure to help in many more.
Other
For some reason, a select group of fans like to claim that Rainbow Dash is either a lesbian or bisexual due to her name and the colors she possesses. This probably will never be confirmed or denied if asked to the creator as it will more likely illicit a response of "Why the fuck do you care? She's a pony, asshole!" This may be considered if Rainbow Dash ever, for any reason, turns human. Other then that, it's just a fun fact.
