Eriol had a bit of a smug but relieved expression as the doll said her Father's name was Rozen. That was a small relief. His Creator's name was Lorenzo. So unless he'd changed his name (...which was entirely a possibility) they didn't have the same Creator. His smug expression didn't change as the doll once again demanded her key.
"You want it?" Eriol held the key up in front of him, just out of the range of the doll's arms if she jumped. "Come and get it."
------------------
Palette took a step back as the doll pulled the key on her. The key was giving off flames, so it obviously wasn't the same type as the one Eriol used, but it was another one of those damn keys. She tightened her grip on the set of paints Himitsu had given her.
"I'll talk about that bastard any way I like!" Palette said. "You know what I heard? I heard that he made Eriol, and then ignored him. Used him as a guinea pig to try out new parts for his other stupid dolls. Ignored Eriol whenever he tried to get his attention. I don't doubt that he lost it after all that. I don't blame him for that, either. Your stupid creator played favorites and look what happened to his non-favorites."
Something seemed to click in the other doll's head. "...Eriol lost it... because of me?"

Shinku narrowed her eyes as Eriol continued to grin. He positioned the key and held it up in front of him. She frowned more deeply. He had seen her jump high enough to be above his head for a moment just earlier, hadn't he? Then again, it was possible he had been more concerned with Holly's interference. It was not her problem if he was not made for battle. She hesitated just once more before locking her eyes with Eriol's...
...and sending what was most simply described as a flurry of glowing pink rose petals at Eriol's face. The rose petals seemed to create an almost phantom like wind. There were enough to swirl around Eriol's head and shoulders in a distracting tornado of sorts, but they were doing no true damage yet. In the moment of distraction Shinku manifested a pink cane suitable for her height. She ran forward with almost unnatural speed and jumped up when she was about three feet from Eriol.
She planned on bringing her cane down onto the wrist joint holding the key. She also sent out Holly again, this time with no words. Holly flew out and hit the back of Eriol's hand. Shinku planned on grabbing the key and pulling it close to her when Eriol released the key. If he didn't, as it was possible his poor wooden construct didn't allow pain to be felt in the same manner, she'd let herself fall and run to the other side of the room. She couldn't push her power much further then this at this point, though. Not with the strain she was feeling...

Eriol had not expected to get blasted in the face with a bunch of rose petals. Actually, he really didn't know where they'd come from. There weren't any roses in the room and she didn't have any on her. What on earth just happened?
As such, he lifted his free hand up to his face and started trying to swat the rose petals away, to not much avail. The other hand still held the key, though. He hardly noticed Holly hitting the back of his hand, but Shinku's hand hitting his wrist caused a reflex reaction, and he dropped the key.
"H-Hey! I was going to borrow that," Eriol said.
----------------
Palette blinked. Wait, then this doll was that douchebag Creator guy's favorite? Palette couldn't really remember his name, but it certainly looked like this was the one that Creator had loved on. She rubbed the back of her head. "I'd blame it more on that douchebag Creator of yours. But yeah, I guess so."
The doll lowered his key to his side. "...I didn't know. All I knew was that the Creator said I should be careful around him. That he was a monster."
Palette narrowed her eyes. Sounded like this Creator guy was even more of a douchebag than she thought.

Shinku caught the key between both her hands as it fell and pulled it close. It looked a bit awkward as she still had one hand on the cane. The petals vanished as her black shoes hit the floor and she hopped backwards, spinning around mid jump, and ran towards her box. She turned back around towards him and held out her can in a defensive posture. Holly flew over to her and vanished again. She still looked angry.
"It is not yours to borrow. I told you to return it to me and you did not," she pointed the cane at Eriol and planted her feet. The key was still clenched in one of her tiny hands, "You will inform me of my location now."

Eriol looked down at the little girl. She still seemed to be mad. Well, he'd stolen her key. Not that he really cared what she thought about the key, but he guessed he would have been really mad if someone stole his key.
"...To be honest, I don't really know," Eriol said. "I just popped out of nowhere here myself."
-----------------
The doll started blubbering something else, but Palette finally had enough, and walked up to it before popping it on the head. The doll fell over, despite the small amount of force put behind the hit. Palette blinked, looked at her hand, and then down at the doll.
"Uh, you okay?"
"You hit me!" the doll looked back up at Palette. "Why did you hit me?"
"Because you're being an idiot," Palette said. "Do you even think about what's coming out of your mouth sometimes? God, you're as bad as that Kikae chick..."
The doll made his way back to his feet again, but it was clear that he needed to do one of those repair jobs Eriol did on himself all the time. Not only that, but he didn't even seem to be in any condition to fight.
"Look, I'm looking for Eriol too. If you wanna find him that bad, then fine. I'm not stopping you from following me. But I'm not letting you use that key. You look like you might fall apart from the recoil if you even try to use it," Palette said. The doll looked down at the key, and then at its limp arm, and sighed. The key reconfigured back to a smaller size before he handed it to Palette, who pocketed it. She held out her hand.
"I'm Palette," Palette stated. The doll looked down at her hand with a puzzled expression before grasping it.
"That's not a name," the doll said. "I'm Yui."
Palette thought back. Yep, definitely the name of that doll who Eriol hated. She had to wonder if it was a good idea to bring this guy to Eriol. Oh of course it wasn't, but it wasn't like she could stop him. She'd seen Eriol's own strength , even in a weakened state like this. Stupid dolls.

Shinku's expression didn't change as Eriol said she didn't know where they were. Well, it might have, but she was frowning a bit deeply. She glanced at the box while tightening the grip on the key. She did not feel comfortable leaving the box there. She glanced at Eriol before walking past him giving him wide berth and her nose almost in the air. She put her hand on the mirror and frowned.
"This is terrible..." she said under her breath. Her voice, if Eriol heard it, was almost pained. She seemed lost in her own world all of a sudden.

Eriol looked a little pained as the doll went over to the mirror and pressed her hand on it. Now that he thought about it, he didn't know her name. He walked over to the box, closed it, and grabbed it once again by the handle he'd held it by before.
"I don't think I ever got your name," Eriol said, trying to cheer her up a bit. "I'm Eriol."

She tensed up as Eriol walked over to her box. She could tell because the mirror, for all the problems it had, still had the basic function of reflecting. She whirled around just as Eriol closed and lifted up the box. Her eyelids widened and she looked at the box with a nervous expression. It turned to a glare and she turned her gaze towards Eriol's eye again.
"You will put that down this instant!" Shinku ordered, going right over the top of Eriol's introduction. She was holding her cane with an aggressive stance once again.

Eriol glared at the doll again as she wheeled on him. What was her problem?! He glared at her.
"I was only trying to help!" Eriol said. She seemed to have her bloomers all in a bunch. Honestly, he really had to wonder what this doll's problem was. He still wasn't putting the box down, though. "I thought you might want to keep this, and I don't think you can carry it too well. You're a litle small."

"I am more than capable of transporting it under my own power," Shinku stated, moving onto repeating her order, "Put it down at once!"

Eriol glared at the doll and put the box down before kicking it in disgust, knocking it onto its side. "Fine, have it your way!" He grumbled and walked away from it, still keeping an eye on the doll. He was done trying to play nice. What was her problem?!

She glared at him as he dropped it. SHe seemed surprised when he kicked it to the side and took a step forward with a wince as it landed. It kicked up a bit more of the dust on the bamboo mat, which seemed to do a good job of gathering it.
She glanced at the mirror, then to Eriol, before walking over and looking at where it had impacted. The leather was fine and the gold work seemed only a bit scuffed from where it had hit. She frowned again and wiped the scuff off with the velvet of her sleeve.
"I can not believe one such as you wound me," she muttered. She looked at Eriol, "You are not human and are incapable of serving as a Medium. What baffles me even more is how you obtained my box in the first place. I am confident you agreed to nothing."

The two were practically trading glares at this point. Eriol didn't move as the doll wiped her case off with his sleeve.
"The only thing I agree to are deals with humans," Eriol said. "Miss Himitsu gave me your box. She told me to keep it safe, just in case.... I think she's dead now."
He very possibly looked a little depressed as he said that. Though it was entirely possible Shinku didn't notice his change in expression.

Their glares remained locked as Eriol attempted to give an explanation. Shinku did not know anyone by the name of Himitsu. She was confident Jun did not, either. However, she didn't miss the look of depression on Eriol's face. There was a kindness there she hadn't expected. She looked a bit more irritated for a moment before shaking her head.
"I am Shinku, Fifth Doll of Rozen Maiden, and I wish to find my servant and medium, the one known as Jun Sakurada."

Eriol's expression didn't change much from the pained one as he looked back toward Shinku.
"I'm Eriol," he repeated. "...um, First Doll of... er, The Creator."
For some reason he felt like introducing himself the way Shinku had.
"You!"
Eriol turned as he heard a familiar voice, and if his eyes could have widened, they would have. He took a step back.
"Yui. What are you doing here?!" Eriol snarled. He looked back at Shinku. "I'm busy making new friends, go die somewhere, Yui!"
Palette stepped into view. "Eriol, there you are! I was--" She looked toward Yui, who looked about ready to jump at Eriol and throttle him. "Hey, what are you thinking of doing?"
"...I've got to stop him," Yui repeated in a low voice.
