Abel waited for Seth to leave before leaving for the garden again, silently closing the door behind him. It would be a long road for his brother, but he would protect him. Maybe take him back with him, if his Lord would permit it. It was possible his Lord might deem it unacceptable to bring Seth with him. He supposed he'd just have to accept it in that case.
He walked to the angel statue. The message light on the COMP continued to blink invitingly. Abel gave the device a rather disdainful look and picked it up. This look didn't fade when he opened the device and saw the messages. No, this was not who he wanted. Not at all.
Abel considered just putting the device down, turning away, and forgetting he'd ever decided to satiate his curiosity. Then, as he was looking at the screen, another message came through.
Abel's lower eyelid twitched. The urge to walk away from this whole situation grew. He sat down at the foot of the statue and began to type out a reply.

It was about two minutes later when the COMP beeped with a return message, from precisely who Abel had likely been expecting. LOKI again. The demon almost seemed to be making up for the decades he hadn't been in contact. At least decades... in any case, if Abel opened the message he'd be greeted with the response.

Abel found his hand drifting to the "delete message" button. It would be so easy to just delete it now and pretend he'd never seen it. There was a very good reason he'd ignored Loki for decades. It had been bad enough when Loki had declared his love for him in front of an entire group of angels... Of course, it turned out he actually did have useful information. There was another avatar walking about, and this one was actually female.
Another avatar. Abel had to wonder just how many were in this land. It seemed to attract gods and demons in large groups. He made his response quick; the less material he gave Loki the better.

Another few minutes passed, this time a few more than before. Either Loki was making him wait on purpose or was putting more thought into the response. In any case, that familiar beep came up.

Abel scowled, sure that Loki was making him wait on purpose. The demon always knew how to get under his skin, no matter what the situation. Since he wasn't giving any obvious bait, he was just irritating him with the long wait times. Eventually, the reply came up. He felt a bit more relieved when Loki said she wasn't Egyptian. He'd had too many encounters with Egyptian avatars for one life.
Of course, that didn't mean he was done with Loki. He was sure the reason Loki hadn't been able to contact him in any of the decades that had passed was because he'd changed COMPs and handles fairly often. Yet now Loki was ever so easily contacting him. Suspicious.

Abel's response came in the form of a beep a few minutes later.

Abel closed the COMP and put it to the side. This was exactly the kind of behavior he expected from Loki. The demon knew exactly how to get under his skin, even after all of these years. And while the exact grammar was different, the way he typed was very familiar to Abel. It brought up uncomfortable emotions he didn't wish to have. Or rather, he wasn't supposed to have. It was painful.
He opened the COMP up once more and looked at Loki's message. He rather dully noted that Loki didn't actually answer any of his questions. Stupid demon.

Abel silently closed the COMP and put it to the side, as far away from him as possible without actually walking away from the COMP. He hated talking with Loki. Aside from the fact it meant he was having to talk to Loki, he just didn't have good memories of the demon. The first time it had shown its true self to him was when his brother was trying to kill him, for one.
He looked up at the sky. There was still a while until sunrise. Even then, Seth would sleep for a while. He didn't want Seth to wake up alone, either. It would be best to take him with him, now that Abel thought about it.
He closed his eyes, and his thoughts drifted to the angel that had visited him, and from there, the sect that despised him. He thought about the limiter the angel had brought him. He climbed to his feet and looked up at the sky.
"Michael," Abel called. "Come here. Now."

The response was heard. The static friction of a heard order with no response hung heavy in the air. Abel would notice straight way that the order had gone through with no resistance - Babel hadn't had to function as a mid-point, a necessity to contact if he and Michael were on seperate planes. Meaning the archangel was on the Island even if he hadnt shown himself. Abel would be more than aware of that as the silence and heavy air continued with the seconds ticking by.
The pressure lifted in a literal flash though, with the silence serving well to indicate that the archangel had to have thought about answering Abel's command rather than just doing so as was technically his place given the position YHVH had given Abel in His ranks. As the flash faded, a red skinned humanoid with large red backed wings appeared. His arms were forward and straight down, his fists wrapped around a long spear near the center. Michael gave a cold frown towards Abel for a moment before flexing his wings to drop to the ground, another hard flap creating a cushion of air so his bare feet could gently set on the ground. He lifted the spear up and set it so that the sharp end was pointing straight up from his right hand.
"Contrary to what you may believe, Messiah, I have duties as well. This summons better not have been for some paltry complaint the likes of which you've been relaying to our Lord via Metatron," Michael stated. His voice was powerful, and the only emotion present was a nearly unnoticable strain of superiority. He narrowed his eyes and turned his head towards the COMP and then proceeded to take control of the conversation in an accusatory tone, "You've been in communciation with that shameless demon. Why?"

The garden remained silent. The order hadn't gone through Babel, and he could tell that Michael had received it. He'd long grown tired of his insubordination, his subtle ignorance of his orders, his unsubtle disdain toward him... At least the other archangels knew how to hid their dislike of him. Michael was overt with it... perhaps that was why he led them.
The angel finally appeared in a flash, and landed in front of him. Abel held his ground, his expression flat. Abel put a hand in his pocket and pulled out the MP3 player, turning it a couple times in his hand. The screen was cracked down the middle, and holding it no longer hurt Abel.
He followed Michael's gaze to the COMP. The angel knew he'd been in contact with Loki. "He contacted me first," Abel said emotionlessly. "And since he was the last demon in the vicinity of Cain when he disappeared, it's likely he has something to do with his disappearance. He could be useful."
He held the MP3 player up so that Michael could see it. "Do you know what this is and how it came to be in my hands?"

Michael didn't seem to notice or care about the mp3 player. He stared straight at Abel, his eyes unblinking. He had to put effort into doing so and didn't generally bother with most humans - and the "man" before him wasn't human in any case. He let out a huff noise at Abel's comment that Loki had contacted him first. His eyes flicked to the mp3 player as Abel finally indicated it.
"It was a limiter to aid with the increased interactions with humans this Island will merit," Michael said. Even with the emphasis there was no shift of emotion. That vaguely condascending attitude was still present, "You've made it rather clear you still can't control your strength."

Abel's expression remained flat at Michael's explanation. It was exactly as he expected it was, complete with an improbable explanation that sounded probable enough to anyone who mattered. One didn't get to be an Archangel without having some brains, it seemed.
"I have interacted with humans on a regular basis for more than a few centuries," Abel snarled. "I do not require a limiter."

"If that's the case, why have you brought harm to Seth? Not once, but twice?" Michael replied. Unlike Abel, he was continuing to put no emotion behind his words, "Say what you wish, but it is clear you still lack the self control your position requires."

"Those were isolated incidents," Abel stated quite calmly. To allow Michael to see any kind of emotion in his expression would only give the angel more fuel. He knew exactly how Michael had learned of those incidents; that servant angel had been lurking around during those times. He didn't doubt that it had taken its information straight to its master.
He didn't comment on Michael's choice of name for Keiji. It was a strange name, but he knew the angel would just become more angered (or possibly more confident) if he asked such a question. He could ask Keiji later.
"If my Lord truly thought I required a limiter, He would have given me one before I left our dimension," Abel added. "Do you doubt our Lord's judgment?"
