History: Daisukenojō, nicknamed Beat, is a muscular and aggressive boy who wears contemporary street clothes and acts overprotective of his younger sister Rhyme. Despite being Neku's age, he is almost the exact opposite of him: brash, hot-headed, and confused. He was involved in an accident while trying to save Rhyme from being hit by a car. His attempt failed and they both died near Miyashita Park Under Pass. Then they both got involved in the Reaper's Game. On Day 5 (or 6, I can't remember), Rhyme sacrificed herself to protect Beat, and since one cannot go into the Game without a partner, Mr. Hanekoma pulled him out, and he joined the Reapers. In Neku's second game, he appeared as a Reaper and attacked him on several occasions. In Neku's third game, however, he's forced join up with Neku in order to for him to play the game and be NOT erased.
