Time For Some Well-Deserved Naps

John watched them hug and grinned widely, throwing himself in to join the embrace with his moirail and ectosister. There would be time to unravel the mysteries of Dimensional Island later. The heir didn't know WHY they were all there, but he was just enjoying BEING there and enjoying all their precense.

"Maybe we should take some time to explore more of the island?" he offered to Jade once they all pulled back, though his moirail still clung to his arm. "There's definitely a lot to see! And I can get us around faster!"

A yawn escaped him as the excitement dwindled. Oh right, Jade did kind of wake him up, haha. "...mmmtomorrow, maybe." He glanced between the two of them, then the bed. Then he smiled goofily at Jade. "So, uh... you wanna join the tangle-buddy pile? It's good and comfy, I can tell you that."

Jade giggled as John yawned. Honestly she wasn't that tired, but she was sure if she lay down sleep would come pretty quickly. She never had any trouble falling asleep before even if she hadn't been having troubles with her narcolepsy lately... what was up with that, anyway?

"Sounds like a plan! Dave took me to a few places but then Nepeta told me about here so I let him go do his thing... he didn't want to come along..." She took a moment to frown, shoulders slumping a little bit before they popped back up and she brightened again. "Maybe we'll run into him or something! I'm sure he'll show up again."

"What were we talking about?" She paused, having lost her train of thought. "Oh! Yes, let's explore!"

And then, with a little smile she got up, shrugged out of her squiddle jacket and kicked off her squiddle shoes, padding over towards the bed and sitting down on the edge. John and Nepeta came over and lay down, half under blankets half out. Nep was curled against John's back, and on the other side Tavros and Gamzee were draped so tightly together, like maybe they were afraid to let each other go. It was sad and sweet at the same time.

Carefully Jade wiggled between Tavros and John, facing her ectobrother and leaning in to press her forehead against his, smiling as she watched his eyes droop sleepily. Reaching out she took his hand, holding onto it tightly, and closed her eyes.

Soon they were all sleeping, a warm bundle of limbs and soft breaths and comfort.
