Michael was flying over the City, not to far above the Back Alleys. He had run to get some bandages for his most recent guest at his home, and had also grabbed some more foodstuffs, deciding to make a pie when he got back. 'Soarin' will probably really like it... and if memory serves... that potion Marisa gave him is gonna be kicking its other side effect in soon... good thing I got this...' Looking through the bag he had with his purchases, he saw a bottle of an antacid liquid. '...Yeah. Once that potion wears off, he's gonna have a nasty upset stomach... Well, at least he's doing better.
Even as he flew, Michael kept his ears open; after all, he never knew what he might hear.

She was in unfamiliar territory and she didn't like it. She had went into the city to buy some things for Applejack, but then something opened up below her feet. If she had her wings, she would've been able to fly up over it. But those days were long gone and she had fallen into the vortex below. When she landed up, she was happy to find herself relatively unscathed, but had ended up in a foreign city of sorts with figures she didn't recognize. They all just sort of passed her by as she walked around in her Wonderbolts uniform, but she was quickly becoming frightened and agitated in this new and foreign world, trying to find her way around. Eventually she came across the alleyways and got lost in them, eyes flickering around for an idea of where she was. This isn't even Equestria anymore. What's going on?

Michael quirked his ears at a sound he heard. "...Sounds like hooves... another one? Better go check it out." He started scanning the alleyways, but... his eyes weren't nearly as good as his ears were. He was starting to get frustrated. "...Damn. ...Maybe I was just imagining it..."

Stepping through the dark terrain full of dark shadows that could hide pretty much anything, Rainbow thought she could hear the sound of hooves and stopped walking to make sure they weren't her own. Sure enough, she could hear it. Clop clop clop, along with two other sets of sounds that sounded like those weird tall creatures. She blinked as a smile came to her face. Maybe it'll be someone familiar, she thought and proceeded to track down the sound.
"Thanks for taking me with you, guys! This city's huge!" Pinkie exclaimed for her two escorts. After the scare at the House of Blue Leaves, Masahiro had quickly gotten over it. It was just Pinkie Pie, after all, Trevor had explained, and while she was hyperactive as any four year old decked out in sugar, she was harmless. Sure enough, she had gotten curious about where she was, so Trevor suggested he and Masahiro take her around the island. That way, she wouldn't go getting herself in trouble.
"No problem," Trevor replied. "These alleyways aren't exactly kind, however. A lot of disturbing and uncouth things go on back here, so I'd suggest using caution if you're not around one of us."
"Oh I know that!" Pinkie said with a giggle. If this were Equestria, she might break out into a musical number. However, as was, she noticed something peculiar. A Wonderbolts uniform on some pony. Now she knew enough about the Wonderbolts thanks to Rainbow Dash, even if she wasn't a big fan. So when she noticed the uniform, she gasped. "Hey! I know you! You're one of the Wonderbolts!"
Rainbow Dash heard that familiar voices in her eyes widened. Face turning, wind blowing her hoodie off of her, she could see the former face of her nightmares clearly. As if nothing had happened to her before. Memories began flooding into her as she stood there, rooted in place by fear. But instead of seeing the look of terror upon her face, all Pinkie saw was her beloved friend. And as a Wonderbolt nonetheless. "Oh my gosh, Rainbow, you finally did it!" Pinkie bounded over and around her, causing her heart to increase in pace. "You became a Wonderbolt, I can't believe I didn't know! You must've done it after I got sent here! Oooh, we have to celebrate somehow, but..."
"Hey, Masahiro... what's with Rainbow?" Trevor whispered. "She looks... deathly afraid. That's uncharacteristic for her."
Masahiro pulled out something resembling a scouter from the Dragoball universe. Yes, he stole the model from it. Placing it over his eye, he began to scan something. His eyes widened considerably. "Her build up suggests that she is missing her wings. There is also a high level of tension building up inside her."
"Missing wings? But that's impossible, this is..." Trevor's eyes widened.
"Oh! I know! We'll throw a party! I'll find Vinyl and get her to run the DJ and buy all the balloons and... oh!"
"I'll even bake you some of my delicious cupcakes!"
This triggered reactions from both Trevor and Rainbow. For Trevor, it was a moment of realization. For Rainbow, however, it was a moment of horror. The word continued replaying in her mind again and again. Cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes...
"You are helping! You see, I ran out of the special ingrediant and I need you to get more."
Cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes
"Oh Dash, you didn't do anything. It's just your number came up and, well, I don't make the rules. We can't turn back now!"
CuPcAkEs cUpCaKeS CuPcAkEs cUpCaKeS
"Hope you don't mind! I think I'm gonna wing it now!"
CUPCAKES CUPCAKES CUPCAKES CUPCAKES
"In a few minutes, you won't be able to feel anything below your ribcage. Then you'll be able to stay awake and watch the harvest."
Trevor played with the scenarios in his head. Cupcakes... wait a minute. There was that horribly written piece of trash... but then there were also sequels written to it, meant to take the pain of it away, and they turned out brilliant. Wonderbolts jacket... fear of Pinkie... no. It's...
"PINKIE, BACK AWAY!"
Pinkie turned her head to the side to face Trevor, but took two back hooves hard to the face. Were it somebody like Applejack, she might've broken something. But Rainbow wasn't that powerful yet. She did, however, knock the other Earth Pony onto her side, and thus took the opportunity to begin running away.
Dashing away from the pink pony, Rainbow was fighting the tears in her eyes. She was frightened, in a new world she didn't know, and what was even worse was that the same Pinkie Pie who had tried to kill her was there as well. She had to get away. She had to find help.

At her scream, Michael thought 'I sure as hell didn't imagine that!' He touched down, only to get bowled over by Rainbow within seconds of landing. After the two of them tumbled, Michael looked at her. '...Wonderbolts hoodie...' He gently moved his hand on her back. '...No wings, either... how?' He then recalled what he had heard. "PINKIE, BACK AWAY" ...After thinking for a minute, his blood ran cold. 'No... that can't be! How could that psycho get here?! ...I was afraid of this...' Wrapping his left arm around Rainbow and holding his right outstretched, charging with Danmaku, he said to her, "It's okay, I won't let her hurt you."
The poor sap had no idea that his fears were unfounded.

Trevor tried to catch up. Things had to be explained. "RAINBOW! WAIT!" But before he could catch up to her, Michael had already grabbed her and fired danmaku backward before taking off into the air. Trevor stood his ground, but by that point it was too late. "Fuck!" He proceeded to repeat that word another nine times before getting back to Masahiro and Pinkie, the latter of which now had straightened hair and a sad look on her face.
"Why did Rainbow kick me? Does she hate me?"
"No, Pinkie, she doesn't hate you. It's a long story, though, and one that'd be better explained when we get back to the house."
"What's going on?" Masahiro asked, curious himself.
"That Rainbow isn't the Rainbow this Pinkie Pie knows. She's a different one. The alternate universe clause."
"Oh yes, that screwed up thing... so she's from a world where she hates Pinkie Pie?"
"Worse... she's from a world where she survived an attempt on her life. She has no wings because of that attempt. And the one who tried to kill her... is that universe's Pinkie Pie."
Rainbow was picked up and taken away. At first, she wanted to fight back. But the man who was flying, despite not having any wings, had consoled her and told her he wouldn't let Pinkie hurt her. Sure enough, he was taking her far away. She huddled closer. It had been a while since she had felt the nice blowing of the wind across her. She might not have known this person, but he seemed nice and she wasn't in a fighting position, so she might as well just ride it out for now and see what would come of this for later. However, she had to ask him anyway. "Excuse me, but... who and what are you?" Michael must've heard that question so many times already.

Sure enough, Michael was thinking, 'If I had a dollar for each time...' but he quickly ceased that line of thought. He had an explanation to give. "My name's Michael. Michael Neilsen. I'm a human, if you know what a human is... are you alright?" He asked, with a concerned look on his face. He figured that he needed to be as gentle as possible.
Meanwhile, back at the alley, a certain green-haired miko was wandering by and heard Trevor's cursefest. When she looked into the alleyway and was going to chew him out, she saw the pink pony and proceeded to squee. ...Which was then followed by her dashing over and grabbing Pinkie into a huge hug. Sanae thought 'Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoooosh! They're here, too?! BEST. ASSIGNMENT. EVER!'

Rainbow nodded. "Princess Celestia told us what humans are, yes... she warned us that most would try to turn us into something called a steed, however. You don't seem like a bad human though." Well Celestia wasn't too far off, seeing as ponies were raised to become riding steeds and forms of transportation. The work horses in Equestria at least got paid. If they were taken by humans... same hard manual labor, none of the benefits. Slavery would be a term to put it. Then again, that's how it was for humans in a land where every animal was sentient. They're the bad guys and end up falling in some sort of way that teaches us why we should turn into vegetarians, stop domesticating animals, and save the environment... wait, where the hell did I do with this?!
Back on Sanae's end, Trevor noticed Pinkie's hair puff back up at the hug from the miko. Good. At least she's receptive to the immediate force of physical comfort. Pinkie was very happy to suddenly have a new friend who was hugging her. That would take away the pain of Rainbow's betrayal in her head. Trevor would have to explain to Pinkie what was going on though. He looked at Masahiro. "We're going to have to show her... that... aren't we?"
"Begging your pardon, but you just introduced me to the show. What is that?"
"Come over here for a moment," Trevor said to Masahiro, beckoning him away from Sanae and Pinkie.
Pinkie, meanwhile, managed to giggle again and hug Sanae. "Hi there! I'm Pinkie Pie! Who are you?! I can tell you like to give hugs! I like giving hugs too! Aren't they the best?!"

At Trevor's words, Sanae thought '...He couldn't possibly be talking about that that, can he?
She hugged Pinkie a little tighter, saying, "I'm Sanae. Sanae Kochiya! Pleased to meet you." After a little more, she broke the hug and then walked over to the two men. "Pardon me, sirs, but can you inform me on what just happened here? I may be able to help you."
Michael said to Rainbow, "I'm glad that you think that way; I want to help you. I promise that I'll explain everything in more detail later, when we get to my house. 'Kay?" Michael smiled at Rainbow, attempting to be reassuring.

Masahiro looked at Sanae and sighed. "Ask Trevor here. He's the one who'd know."
"Oh do I know," Trevor said with a grimace. "We ran into a Rainbow Dash from an alternate universe. I'd call this universe the Precious Rainbow line, since she's alive. Alright Masahiro, buckle down and listen because this is... without description. To understand this Rainbow and her universe, you'd have to know of the creation that inspired it, Cupcakes."
"Cupcakes? I could go for a couple right now," Masahiro said.
"Yeah. Let's see if you will after I say this. Cupcakes is one entry of a recent genre of grim-dark fan-fiction written for the show. It's a straight up guro in which Pinkie tortures, mutilates, and eventually kills Rainbow and uses parts of her body to bake into cupcakes."
"... ... ... On second thought, I think I'll just settle with pie."
"Knew you'd say that. This fan-fiction is so infamous that several authors set out to write spin-offs in order to ease the pain it causes. One of these would be a fan-fiction known as A Precious Rainbow... in which Rainbow survives because Applejack saves her, but loses her wings."
"... ... ... !!! You're not suggesting..."
"Yes." Trevor nodded. "That Rainbow attacked Pinkie because she perceived her as a threat. And rightfully so. To her, Pinkie is this psychopathic killer who should be dead now. The fact that Pinkie is alive, to her, is both illogical and horrifying."
(No need to post for Rainbow. She'll just like settle in Mike's arms until he brings her home.)

Sanae gasped. "That's terrible! Wait... if this alternate universe thing is in effect... you don't think that the normal Cupcakes Pinkie could come here, do you?!" Sanae shuddered slightly, a little worried by the thought. "...Wait, you said that Rainbow Dash was here, right? Where is she now?"
(I probably won't do anything else with Michael in this thread. The next post I do with him will be back in Spellcard, when he returns)

Trevor grimaced. "Shit! I didn't even think of that... if the fan-fiction version of Rainbow is here, there's a chance that she could come. And she's able to blend in because she's just like Pinkie... well we'll cross that bridge when we reach it."
Masahiro looked at Pinkie. She looked harmless, just sitting there with a grin on her face waiting for them to finish. It's always the most unlikely ones, isn't it? he thought.
"Rainbow was carried away by this guy we've never seen before." Trevor tried to describe Michael to Sanae, wondering if that would do any good.

Sanae gasped. "I know that guy! He's a human from outside of Gensokyo like me! His name's Michael Neilsen... I didn't know that he liked ponies... Well, whatever. I think I know where he lives right now, too. He went that way, yes? The Woods are that way."
Sanae, striking a "dynamic" pose, said, "Come on! I'll get us all there!"

Pinkie walked up to Trevor. "Is Sanae gonna help us find Rainbow Dash?" she asked.
"Yeah. Apparently the one who took him was a Touhou original character from her universe, so she knows him and where he is. We'll clear up these misunderstandings, ok?"
Pinkie grinned. The two had become exceptional friends as both of them flipped off the fourth wall quite well.
"It's a good thing I created those hoverboards when I did," Masahiro said, pulling two of them out. One for him and one for Trevor. "Shame I didn't think we'd have a pony."

Sanae said, "Oh... That makes this even easier! Well, c'mon, Pinkie." Sanae knelt down, motioning for Pinkie to get on her back. After she did so, Sanae jumped into the air, and, after getting a lift from the wind, started flying towards the Woods, certain that she'd find Michael there.
Meanwhile, Michael said, "There we are; home sweet home." Michael could see his shared house from where they were.
(This'll probably be my last post here with Mike. I lied earlier.)
