Full Name: Penny Parched
Nickname(s): N/A
Age: 20
Height: Incalculable
Weight: Incalculable
Gender: Female
Race: Unicorn Pony
Alliance: Neutral Good
Home: Ponyville, Equestria
Franchise: My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic (Original Character)
Physical Description
A medium sized pony gal who seems rather skinny, she has a lovely silvery coat that adorns her. The horn jutting out of her head is of a dull point, never really meant to injure anyone, and she has made no attempt to sharpen it for obvious reasons. Her mane is a dark brown with pink streaks, her tail hair being dark brown without the streaks, and her hair is always combed straight. Her eyes are a dark emerald color and she has to wear glasses due to bad eyesight, giving her more of a dignified librarian look then a frazzled nerd appearance. If she has to wear clothing, she oddly prefers the fanciful tuxedos and suits of the stallions rather then the dresses that most mares would wear. She feels it gives her more grandeur then any dress ever could. Her cutie mark is an ink pot with a quill dipped into it.
Weapons
She could stab people with her horn. She has no weapons on her though.
Abilities/Powers
Like most unicorns, Penny doesn't have the greatest experience with magic. She mostly only uses it to get things like writing and cleaning done, something she can't normally do with hooves. In this case, the minor telekinesis she has is more of a Celestia-send rather then something she abuses. Other then that, her greatest ability is her work with voices. She can perfectly imitate any mare's voice, though she cannot do the same for stallions. As she is a storymaker, so too does she sometimes tell the stories. This helps validify story authenticity, but she has no wish to go into acting.
Skills
Her talent is writing, after all, and she is willing to fashion the most beautiful of stories.
Personality
Penny is a carefree girl. She doesn't go out of her way to start situations, but she is willing to lend a helping hoof to someone who is in need of it. She is oddly polite in all of her affairs, even if she is angry with someone, and tends to address everyone as Sir or Madam regardless of whether she knows their names or not. Penny does not actively seek socialization, but will not shy away if someone approaches her. As a result, it makes it difficult for her to communicate with more bashful individuals. Insert use of Fluttershy as an example here. As a storymaker, Penny is naturally a very creative and imaginative mare. Sometimes, however, she gets lost in her own little fantasy worlds, regardless of whether she's writing or not. This can make her come off as spacey, as she never really acts out her daydreams, but does go into a trance while she's locked within. She also has an inferiority complex and is easy to upset. Despite the fact that her work is amazing as is, she always seems to be locked in an eternal battle with herself, reading books, doing research, and everything to make her stories the best they can be, yet always feeling like she will never accomplish greatness.
History
Penny was born in Canterlot. She was raised there, studied there, and enjoyed the company of her friends there. There wasn't much interesting in her life, however. She discovered her cutie mark when she was around seven. A writing contest had arisen in her school and she dominated it with an amazing fantasy about a beautiful unicorn princess who was saved by a valliant stallion from the clutches of an evil Ursa Major. Cliched story, but there was a sort of twist. Replace the stallion... with a mare. And the princess with a prince. Yes, the natural roles had been reverse, but the writing and style had been considered done so well there wasn't a doubt she'd fail. And thus she claimed her cutie mark and had been writing ever since. Her new house in Ponyville wasn't bought out of some tragedy or soul seeking journey. She moved there in order to experience a new town full of new people and gain some more background and character ideas for new stories she might create.
Other
Current Canon Relationships: Nope. Like many in Ponyville, Penny has heard of the mane six, but does not know them in actuality. She would like to interview them as research on a book about the Elements of Harmony, however, and that is one of her goals and desires. She also has a one-sided crush on Big Macintosh, oddly enough. She gets all flushed and nervous whenever he passes by, but she knows he's never really noticed her, so she's content to just admire him from afar.
