Magus seemed satisfied with the responses. Ion was glaring at him, or at least attempting to. She wasn't impressed in the least, to be sure. Ellie was on the ground, Tara was freaking badly. Well, he had said the latter would come to terms with it or break. It seemed she might actually not break. Magus looked around, he seemed to be checking something. He nodded to himself.
"If you'll excuse me. Whatever passes as law enforcement in this world is not likely to take my actions well. I've handled armies before, but it is an inconvenience. You," he looked at Ellie, "Don't claim to know Schala simply because you've been exposed to knowledge of her via 'video games'. It is unlikely what was presented in your world matched the facts."
Magus turned around. He looked like he was getting ready to leave again. That was Magus' biggest problem. He wasn't what you would call a "team player".

Tara, sensing that the danger had passed for the moment, seemed to relax a little and straighten up. Swallowing down her nerves, she pulled off her hood and tried to act casual. Though, it was obvious that her eyes were still wider than normal, and that a tremor accompanied both her body and voice. "Oh, man... I wish Malcom was here..." Tara whispered fearfully; having her big brother with her, having his strength and reassurance, would have been comforting.
She glanced at Ion, wondering how she could outright glare at such a frightening and powerful person. It was practically a deathwish, in her opinion. Tara was glad that when Magus spoke for seemingly the last time, none of it was directed at her. She was also relieved when he turned to leave, now deciding that she'd want to stay as far away from this person as possible. He may not have been evil, like her twin, but he was powerful and dangerous.

Ion clutched his staff closer to himself. He could tell this Magus person was dangerous, and he was worried about what might happen if Magus was allowed to roam free. If Ion had any kind of influence at all here, he'd have a few Oracle Knights confine Magus. Though with how things had been going in Daath, he doubted any of them would have listened to him anyways. It sucked being only a figurehead.
At the same time, it seemed to him that Magus was looking for this Schala person that had been so much of a sore point for Magus. It was possible Ion could help him find this person. At the same time, Ion could keep an eye on Magus, make sure he didn't destroy anything else. And Ellie had said it was possible Schala was on the Island.
"Wait!" Ion called. "You're looking for this Schala, right? Let us help you!"
Ellie looked up. Ion was offering to help Magus, despite the fact that Magus had given her probably the most extreme warning ever. Well, Ion always did try to help people. A bit too much, in fact. At least he didn't do "friendship speeches".

Magus hadn't intended on stopping when Ion told him to wait. He got another step out. And then Ion mentioned Schala. He hadn't done it the way Ellie had. And he'd offered to help. Magus frowned, an action not visible to the group because his back was turned to them. Even Crono's group had been more concerned with saving the world than Schala. Even in his weak state, he had known Schala had sacrificed her own ability to flee to save the group then.
Ion did have magic. He wasn't sure how well the girl could control it. She seemed more defensive based than offensive, as well. Still, she could be useful. The way she had reacted implied she could sense auras as well. That could be useful for finding Schala. He lifted up his fingers and brougth them in a tapping motion back down onto his scythe. Staying with Ion would mean staying with Ellie. Possibly the brown haired girl with the device not unlike something he would expect Lucca to hold. A portable computer if he understood the future right.
His look was very suspicious as he turned back and he didn't hide the emotion with his voice, "Why, after what you saw me do, would you offer to help?"
Magus glanced to the side. They did need to leave, either way. Unless Ion wished him to have to kill this world's version of officers, they needed to leave. He had no qualms about killing for his goals. Even if "odd" was normal here, hed fried this small area of the ITS. The ground by this point was sticky, and their group was the only one there. Looking at the group before him, it was pretty clear who the law enforcement would find most suspicious.

Tara jumped when Ion suddenly called out to Magus, whipping around to gawk at her incredulously. All right, this girl was either plumb crazy, or officially had a death wish. "Are you nuts?" she hissed through clenched teeth. Tara's hazel eyes glanced over at Magus, who had stopped and seemed to be considering Ion's words. Great. They were probably going to get fried this time.
Her mindset led her to cringe when Magus turned to face them, though she was comforted by the fact that he didn't seem as upset as the last time this "Schala" was brought up. That was a good sign. Tara blinked at his words, then looked over at Ion with the same question in mind. It was a good one. "Yeah, why are you offering to help?"

Ion jumped when Magus turned his way. He pressed two fingers together. "Well, you seem like a really nice person. And, well... I think we should help you." To those who had actually played Tales of the Abyss, which numbered one of this group, what Ion had just said was rather similar to what he had said to Luke about the Cheagles back in Cheagle Woods, though the two statements had been separate and referring to two different people, the first one being to Luke and the second one being about the Cheagles' plight. Though he was still really worried about this Magus person.
He caught Magus' glance to the side. It was likely some officers would be showing up soon, what with Magus wrecking a large section of the ITS. Ellie noticed it too.
"Hey, Ion, if we're going to be helping Magus out, then we should be going before the police show up. This ain't like GTA where they'll just take all of our weapons if we get busted!" Ellie said. She wasn't too sure about helping Magus out, but there was no changing Ion's mind once he was set on something. Okay, there was, but most of the time he was right about things. Even if he probably sounded batshit crazy to that girl with the laptop at the moment. And probably to Magus. After all, Magus hadn't been making the best impression to Ion.

(OOC: Sorry this took so long. ) Magus gave a bored glance towards Tara. He'd heard her question if Ion was nuts. The teenager did seem to understand how odd Ion's offer was. Then he made a "hmph" noise at Ion's reasoning. Either Ion was lying or was a complete fool. Really nice person? He hadn't even been a "really nice person" back in Zeal, well before his first actions as the Fiendlord of the Dark Ages. "As I said," Magus said towards Ellie's comments, "I won't be showing mercy to any that show up, either. We are overdue for being rid of this place. If your offer was sincere, I won't be making effort to stop you, but know that I won't hesitate to leave if I decide our goals have diverged." Magus turned back around and glanced a bit. He found what seemed like the easiest way to exit and began walking towards it. As he'd said, he wouldn't stop if the others follow them. Right now, the only one he might listen to was Ion. The child seemed a bit weak, but Magus wasn't blind to his potential. And after all, it was he who was considered to be underdeveloped for his age in the lost Kingdom of Zeal. So there was potentially more to Ion than met the eye. Nevertheless, Ion had magic. Magus still had some good ole' fashioned racism in relation to his upbringing, after all.

((Since we're leaving ITS, should we move this to another location?))
Tara, once again, proceeded to gawk at the feminine mage. What had just spilled out of her mouth was about as backwards as most of the stuff Danny said; and that was saying something. How could Ion think Magus was a nice person?? He'd practically beheaded Ellie, and then tried to fry everyone. Last time Tara checked, doing that sort of thing wasn't in a nice persn's itinerary.
Also the last time she checked, you didn't help people who attacked innocents. Groaning softly, she pinched the bridge of her nose and began to consider whether or not staying with these two was a good idea. However, Ellie's comment made Tara lift her head, and grin a bit. "Ha, right. They'd take some money, too. But you're right. I think it'd be more like the military bringing out the tanks..." she replied, smirking. Finally, a video game she knew and could relate to!
Tara's attention returned to Magus when he gave his reply, one that made her sigh. Looks like she had no choice; it was either be lost in some weird place alone, or stick with these guys and "help" the weird monster thing. Joy. "Whatever. I'm still sticking with you guys, since I don't even know where I am. Let's just get going..." she muttered at last.

((OOC: Yeah, probably))
Ion looked around at the others, who probably thought he was insane with that latest statement (probably justified, considering what Magus had tried to do to them), and then started following after Magus. Half of it was because he wanted to keep an eye on Magus, but on the other hand, he thought Magus might be a bit like Luke. Though Luke was more just a sheltered jerk with the mind of a seven-year old than anything else.
"Oh, I didn't get a good chance to introduce myself before," Ion said as he followed Magus. "My name is Fon Master Ion, of the Order of Lorelei... though I guess I'm not much of a Fon Master here, since the Order doesn't exist here." Plus there was the whole "I'm dead on my home dimension" thing. There was probably a new Fon Master to replace him by now. Maybe even Anise. After all, if his original had become a Fon Master at 14, Anise probably could at 12.
He looked a little depressed as he thought about that, but he recovered quickly enough. Ellie had started following the two of them by this point, and had pulled Canary off of her head just in case they had to start running.

(OOC: Go ahead and handle that etiher of you. Or I can move it on my next turn. Anyplace is fine. ) "Magus is fine," the blue haired man stated more to Ion than the rest of the group, "You claim to know this world, correct? Perhaps it is better if you decide on a destination for now." Ellie would be the only one in the group with any reason to doubt Magus was really the man's name. It was true he hadn't given a surname. Even though Ion hadn't, the man had also not given a rank or indication of status. Again, Ellie would be the only one to know either of the ones he had borne in history. As Janus, Prince of Zeal and second child of the queen. As Magus, the Fiendlord whose army had almost destroyed the Kingdom of Guardian ~600 AD. He was walking swiftly, and keeping an eye on his surroundings. Ion would likely know the way he was moving. He was the type who was used to fights and more than willing to kill if the situation arose. However, the situation from before still marked him as a bad aim if one didn't realize he'd made a point not to hit any living thing. The large scythe looked heavy, but he clearly held it with the skill of one who more than knew what he was doing with it.

((You guys both know better than me, so I'll let you decide the place. ^^; ))
"For those of you who didn't know, I'm Tara," she stated simply. At least now she knew their names, no matter how weird they sounded. Tara wondered where they were going now, how they planned on finding this girl named Schala. Strangely, she wished her siblings were here, though she always wished they weren't. It must be because she felt like a third- er, fourth- wheel of sorts, out of place in the strange world with its strange people. Hell, they made her family look relatively average, which was a feat in itself.
"Hey, where are we going, anyway?"

((Yeah, I'll let you move it, Mugen))
Ion was still regarding Magus carefully. He had worked around soldiers before and recognized the way Magus walked. This was a man used to fights, and could kill without the victim even realizing it until it's too late. In fact, Magus reminded Ion of Largo, just a bit, and not just because they both were large men who used scythes as weapons.
"How about the woods outside the city? There's a castle far out in the woods you can use as a shelter too, though it's pretty run down, and apparently haunted," Ion said. He didn't mention the rumors about a battle that had apparently occured there recently; he doubted Magus would care. Still, there was a reason the castle had been avoided by most people in Void City until very recently, and it wasn't just the fact that the drawbridge was almost always up.

(OOC: I'm gonna close this thread up. Ani, you can make another post here or jump right to the new thread. I'll PM you with the link when its done. Same goes for you FF, I'm not holding the post order for the wrap up. The new thread will be 1. Me, 2. FF, and 3. Ani simply because FF is one right now. ) "Ghosts have never bothered me," Magus said with a matter of fact tone. What he didn't say was not only did ghosts not bother him, but neither did ghosts he created. He hadn't been with the group when Glenn laid Cyrus' spirit to rest, but he had been asked to help with the spirit before the group realized they had to handle it in the era of its origin. The entire group could feel the tension between them. Glenn was too much a nobleman to raise an issue, and Magus quite frankly didn't care. It had been Cyrus' fault for going after the relic of Zeal known as the Masamune without the skill to back it up. "If you know the location of this building, however, perhaps you should take the lead."

Ion looked toward Magus before nodding. He wasn't used to taking the lead, and again, he didn't want to walk with Magus behind him, but he didn't have much of a choice. Ellie made a thumbs-up motion to Ion, and knew he was having a bit of a stupid worry. She did seem worried about Magus, even if it wasn't as much as Ion was, but she would cover him and make sure that Magus didn't do anything.
Ion was still feeling a little exhausted, though. He'd need to stop and take a rest later, probably once they were out of the town. He hadn't used a Daathic fonic arte, but he was still a little tired.
Ellie was keeping an eye on Magus. Okay, so she was well aware that she didn't know any magic, and she doubted her Cat's Claws would be too effective on Magus if she had to fight him. She was really hoping that Magus was on their side. Stupid antagonists-turned-protagonists. She never could tell if they were going to fly off the handle or not.
