Void's First Target

Philantus could hear the destruction going on behind him and grimaced, coming to a stop at another set of writing. He hovered above the water, hooves just inches away from its stinking surface. "Man, what is wrong with these people?! I didn't even do anything yet! They're even more violent than the Void Master claimed them to be... sheesh..." he muttered, annoyed. Philantus's red eyes scanned the writing quickly, mind translating each piece for his next set of directions. At least, according to this, these directions would take him directly to the place he was looking for.

"The sooner this place fills with void, the better."

Rubis' body lit up with electricity, and from there, sent a powerful jolt of electrcity into the water. She would be safe, as would Tapra. It was Thunder, the strongest Electric-type attack known to Pokemon, and the water would carry the current. Kalypso would be out of the way, and that creature would be on the recieving end of a nasty shock. "Come on, please tell me the water reached that creature..."

The lights around Shell Cove shoot in front of Philantus and blasted the walls in front of him. " You will not take this world so easily!" Wonrei manged to catch up with her. " What in the world are you talking about!" Aqualad stopped swimming and started running.

"My god, I'm so glad I'm human at the moment or I'd have a type disadvantage right now." Tapra sighed as she continued to hold onto Rubis since she was too short to reach the sidewalk herself

Philantus had just finished reading the writing when the wall they were scrawled upon suddenly exploded, showering him with brick dust and splinters. He yelped in surprise, wrapping his black wings around his head for cover and flying back away from the destruction. "FOR THE LOVE OF VOID, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!" he shrieked, red eyes wide. Then, hearing her words, Philantus realized that Shell Cove knew what he was planning to do. He didn't know how she found out, but she had, and she was trying to stop him.

Normally, he would have stayed to fight the enemy, but he was too close to his goal to get distracted now. "Don't get in my way! This place is gonna fill with void in a few minutes, and there's nothing you can do about it!" Philantus snapped, starting to fly off down the tunnel again. However, electricity suddenly shot through the water, shocking everyone and everything in the tunnel. He screeched as it traveled through his body, making it twitch violently.

When the electricity finally wore off, Philantus coughed out a black puff of smoke and shook the soot from his body. His white wings would be out of commission for a while, but he could still use his black ones; it would just be harder flying. "I am... SO sick of this sewer..." he muttered dazedly. Philantus flew off, going only half as fast as before as he tried to regain his composure.

Rubis could of sworn she saw the creature go by her, and, using her species' limited swimming abilities, was able to reach the surface with a jump out of the water. Her fur was drenched, probably preventing her from using electric attack for a while. She turned to the girl on her back, noting her strange clothing and hairstyle. She wondered, could this be a Pokemon turned into a human?

"You don't look like you were born a human... Who are you? Oh, how rude of me! My name is Rubis."

Kalypso climbed out of the sewers, hair wetter than usual, covering most of her face. She was looking fairly charred, the water tattoos covering her body crackling occasionally- she must have been in her Gyarados form when she had unleashed Thunder into the sewer. "I... am... never... going... down... there... again..."

Shell Cove suddenly stopped in as Wonrei manged to grab her clothes. "What are you talking about?" She pulled away her clothing in a rage. "He going to fill this place with the void! If he gets the island this place will disappear! " Wonrei stood there as Aqualad ran up to him. " What the heck is Void!?!" Wonrei looked at Aqualad "I don't know but I don't think she can defeat it now!"

"Thanks for saving me back there... my names Tapra, and no I wasn't born human. I was a Combusken before being thrown into this place. I wasn't even this young." Tapra replied as he squeezed the smelly water out of her hair and clothing.

"Have you ever heard of the Power Queen of Team Pyroyal?" Tapra continued on as she cnued to squeeze the water out of her pants

A few more turns later, and Philantus had both regained his composure and found what he was searching for. Grinning toothily, he ran one of his three-fingered hands over the bricks where five symbols were placed at random. "This is it. Let's see now... First appeared the void. Then formed the island. Next were born the natives. After that appeared the portals. And finally, the foreigners arrived upon Dimensional Island," he muttered to himself. With each part, Philantus pressed a symbol; they glowed after his touch. Once they were all glowing, the light spread out from the five spots to form a doorway.

When the light dispersed, so did the bricks, revealing a small room with a pipe and an iron wheel. "A-ha! Look out, Plaza, 'cause here comes the void. And I hope it wipes away all of those nasty creatures, too," Philantus stated as he landed, walking over to the structure. He placed his clawed hands upon the wheel, and prepared to turn it.

Rubis could of sworn she heard something, and then gasped, eyes going wide. "I'm getting out of this place!!!" she yelled, picking up Tapra with her teeth gently and throwing her on her back, searching for the exit from the Plaza. She continued to run, and at last, she could have sworn she found the exit. "And no, I've never heard of the Power Queen."

Tapra ws suprised by the the sudden lift of Rubis onto her back as she was now riding Rubis as a child would be huggin in fright while riding a horse.

"Wh-what's wrong!?" Tapra stuttered suprised as they exited the sewers and into the plaza.

Rubis turned to her passenger, eyes wide. "That creature's going to unleash what cannot be named!! I'm not standing by and letting everybody get sucked into it!!!" she continued to run, using Quick Attack to boost her speed. "Arceus above, this plaza is a maze..."

Shell cove grabbed his arm. "YOU WILL DO NO SUCH THING!" Lights came form all over and attacked
Philantus. The lights unable to tell friend form foe was tearing up her body. Wonrei grabbed her. "What are you doing you could kill yourself!" "THIS MUST BE DONE!" "No it doesn't!" His Chest started glowing brightly as the remaining lights disappeared on a purple dome that covered him and Shell Cove."

Philantus whipped his head around to glare fiercely at Shell Cove, baring his fangs at her as the lights attacked him. He covered most of his body with his two sets of wings, cringing each time they were hit. "It's too late! I've come this far, and nothing can stop the void now! I hope you enjoy oblivion, invaders!!" he shouted. As soon as the lights stopped attacking, Philantus gave the wheel a tug and pulled until it finally began to move. Grinning now, he continued turning it, unsealing the cap that covered the pipe.

"And so the first location falls. Say goodbye to the Plaza of Void City and hello to Void!" he exclaimed gleefully. With one last turn, Philantus was able to lift open the cover of the pipe, and instantly pure void flowed out of it like water. It swept out over the floor, climbed up the walls, dripped from the ceiling like rain. He stood there, melting down into it with ease; he'd lived in it all of his life, after all.

"If you don't want to be lost in the void forever, I suggest you leave. Now." Were Philantus's last words before the void swallowed him up. It was already eating away at the dome covering Wonrei and Shell Cove.

((Any posts after this one are only for characters to escape the void. Closing the pipe is at the moment impossible, and there is no way to stop the void from swallowing up the Plaza. Villains, please return to the board you have with Cyclone for instructions on the next location. After everyone has escaped the Plaza, I shall make the next board at the next location and post a link to it in the Announcements board for this event.))

Rubis continued to run, powered by Quick Attack, eyes scanning through objects to find the exit from the plaza. She occassionally had to use Take Down on some of the objects in her way, minding the girl on her back. At least, she had found the exit, and breathed a sigh of relief. She was now out of the plaza, now being swallowed by the multicolored mist. "We're safe... We're out..." she breathed in and out, now at her regular running speed.

Kalypso noted the Void starting to spread, and considering her job well-done, she used her staff to create a waterway to where she had began her whole mission. Once the cyclone was created, she shifted into her Gyarados form, using Dragon Dance to boost her speed to avoid being swallowed. "Now, back to the Void..."
