Well, it's getting to be about time for me to register for next semester's classes. Now, when I checked with my advisor yesterday, he said that I was registered as a Bachelor of Arts. ...That's not right, I originally registered as a Bachelor of Music. That's a fairly easy fix, I just went to the Registrar.
Well, while there, I was told that they had no record of me having completed a CollegeNow class (ftr, that's a class that counts towards college credits) on record. They told me to come back tomorrow when the lady in charge of the files is there. I did, and here's what I found out. Not only do they not have the transcript there, which I took painstaking measures to ensure there would be, but even if it were, it wouldn't help me. All it would let me do would be to take a higher level writing course instead of Inquiry Written Communication... which I have no interest in doing whatever.
I have heard many things about that class from other students, very, very few of them good. I hate writing; I'm a far better speaker than I am a writer. I was doing that class in high school for the specific purpose of not needing to take that basic writing class in college. Well, surprise surprise, the college has a policy that basically requires it (To be specific, you need at least 24 transfer credits to not need to take it.). Fan-fucking-tastic... nice to know that my semester of headaches I had the second half of my senior year was well-spent... Tch.
So... yeah... needless to say, the good mood I had this morning is completely shot to hell now... why, for the love of God, must they have all these policies? Most of them seem like mere blockades...
Sorry if this seems like whining, but I needed to vent and I couldn't use the Vegeta (DBZ Abridged) method with my roommate taking a nap right now.
