(OOC: Sort of a Halloween special I had planned. I'll try to make this creepy, but I'd appreciate help.)
Professor Nefarious rubbed his hands nervously, hiding behind the curtain that concealed the great silver screen. The guests were beginning to arrive. In 15 minutes, the Professor would give his welcoming speech and signal the projectionist to begin.
If he didn't faint first.
Filming had been a childhood dream of Nefarious'. Villainy, of course, had gotten in the way of it. This island, though, was a chance to give that dream a fresh start. If the Gigyas Tapes did well, it could open up a gateway for Nefarious...
If he didn't faint first.

(OOC: I got an invite, so I'm gonna post now. I'll see what I can do for "creepy" help. ) Some people didn't take warnings well. Or perhaps listened to them too the letter too well was the better description. The sixteen year old girl known as Lucca Ashtear was standing outside the movie theater with a letter in hand. Of all the things she had expected after getting drawn through that mysterious gate, this wasn't one of them. -START FLASHBACK- A black portal appeared in Portal Park. Nothing truly out of the ordinary, the already unstable reality of the island was in far greater tatters on the Island. Perhaps the only other place that had this many portals was the ITS, and it was far more stable. As it was, this portal somehow managed to be a touch different. Navy sparks danced across the perfectly round circle of void as a very startled looking Lucca was roughly deposited on the ground.
She jumped up, almost as if she were used to getting rudely dumped on the ground by portals. She whirled around just in time to see the portal snap shut. She ran towards where it had been, only to find herself running into one of the floating tears in reality the Park was known for. She had come out right in front of a tree, and only a quick side jump had avoided a vertical face plant into the bark.
She looked around. The Gate had closed. The Gate. Chrono and the many friends she had made thanks to saving the world from the alien parasite known as Lavos had defeated said parasite. The source of the Gates, although likely not the almost guiding force behind them. There shouldn't be any Gates. She looked around, fiddling with her glasses as she did so. She jumped, and suddenly began patting herself down. Lucca had been about to dismantle the Epoch, and had planned on ending it with the Gate Key. But the Key... was missing.
Which meant she couldn't return home unless Chrono or Marle found the Key and activated the Portal that had brought here in here. To be more precise, Princess Nadia and her fiance Sir Chrono. He'd been knighted upon King Guardia learning of their actions across time, thus allowing him to be betrothed to the crowned princess. Even she'd been given the honor of becoming the head researcher for the kingdom, and had surprised Marle when she'd turned the offer down.
But she was trapped in this time. One she didn't recognize. It looked like reality was falling apart. Which implied Lavos. While that would explain the Gates it as an absolutely terrifying thought. They'd barely survived defeating him once.
She was trying to figure out where the nearest city was when a letter shot at her with fairly dangerous velocity from another tear in reality. It lodged itself in the tree she had almost run into. The tear vanished as Lucca hesitated. After it was clear it was merely a letter, she walked over to it. It was addressed "To Whom it May Concern"
An invitation to something about "Giygas Tapes" and said Giygas' effect on some unnamed ghost town. The first part had caused a raised eyebrow from Lucca. "Criminal Mastermind and Ameteur Filmmaker"? She hoped it wasn't something like Ozzie from the circa 600 AD. Although that would be far better than Queen Zeal. Although of all the people she'd met, Ozzie was the most likely to self-proclaim himself "Criminal Mastermind".
She finally noticed the towers of a city in the distance. The buildings were huge . As tall as some of the buildings in the post apocalyptic future she and her friends had averted. Certainly nothing like from her own time period. If the theatre mentioned in the letter wasn't there, she could at least ask for directions. She headed towards the city, nervously eyeing portals as she walked... -END FLASHBACK- She blinked as she came out of her memories. This pretty much had to be the place. When she'd asked about a theatre everyone had sent her here. If there was a "criminal mastermind" here, she had to try and stop him. If Chrono and her friend's possessed nothing else, it was a sense of justice. Well, not so much Magus, but he had been a valuable asset of the team. And it was likely their sense of justice that had allowed Glenn to make the honorable decision to not kill the man even though it would stick him in his amphibious form for the rest of his life. And besides wanting to make sure this "Nefarious" wasn't a threat, there was her own curiousity. Giygas? Ghost Town? She was rather interested in all that. She knew now she was in another dimension rather that another time, but she still had no way back. Know thine enemies and all that. She needed to learn about this reality. She pocketed the letter and made her way into the theater...

(Halloween special? I am so down! I think I'll be playing ze victims...) "Wow! This is so cool! I've never been invited to ANYTHING!" Obviously, Ed was super excited as he paraded into the now familiar movie theatre. He had run ahead of his group, so he stopped briefly to wait for them to catch up, bouncing around in a little circle. "Jeez, who put the quarter in YOU, Ed?" Raz was first to push through the glass doors after him, the invitation to this event in his hand. Standing beside Ed, he eyed the letter again. "...I still think 'congradulations' is misspelled here."

((OOC: Invited by Mugen.))
Gogo Gadget, accompanied by a couple of RHAs remaining from her squad following along. The group had set up camp outside Void City after getting stuck on the island, and had buried Chip in the graveyard in Void City.
Shortly afterward, Gogo had gotten the letter. She was sure it had been intended for Chip, but now that he was dead, she was the new leader of the Operation 4TehLulz RHA Stealth Squad, and such would get all letters intended for Chip now.
"...They misspelled 'congratulations.'" Gogo commented as she walked into the theater. She turned to her guard members. "Stay out here. If the communicator in my hand shuts off, you know what to do."

[Invited by NN1, mind if I play a victimized Protagonist? XD]
"Really?" Wally quickly ran up, having finally caught up with Raz and Ed. Really, he had nothing better to do tonight then watch old 'Goosebumps' episodes. Thankfully however, he was saved from a night of boredom by his good movie enthusiast pal Ed, whom had extended him an invitation to come along. While he didn't normally like horror movies, he thought it would be good for him to go watch one and tough it out. It may give him nightmares for a while, but at least he'd get better at his fears.
Looking over the invite, Wally scratched the back of his head, looking a bit confused. "Well I don't see anything out of the ordinary... ... ..." However, he looked over the note again. "Though I fail to understand what MC/ED Stands for..." He thought a second, before he snapped his fingers. "Does it stand for Mega Cats, Electric dogs or something?" He grinned, letting Raz know what he had said was meant to be a joke...
Still there was something about the phrase MC/ED, that bothered him a little...

Raz smirked back. "Doubt it." He read it again. "Fillings and metal plates? Maybe it's something with magnetics." He looked up at Wally. "You don't have anything metal in you, right?"
Meanwhile, Ed was continuing to bounce in circles around them, which Raz was doing a pretty good job at ignoring. He had gotten used to Ed's antics a long time ago, even when he was hyperactive.

"Oh God. Oh God. They're here."
The Profesor panted, sweat building up on his forehead and sticking to his visor. (He really needed to fix that.) Profesor Nefarious had been on television before, but that was for public threats to the government. But right now he needed to tap into that courage he used when he put on his labcoat-- he was Profesor Nefarious! If he had something to say, he'd damn well say it!
As soon as his head stopped ringing...
"Huh. You guys, too?" 4 asked, stepping into the newly-repaired theatre calmly and with his hand on his holster. "Nice to see you again." He nodded at Raz and Ed courteously.
"I couldn't leave my gun at home, no matter what the invite said. So if we all die it's probably my fault. Maybe. I dunno... my head hurts."

Lucca looked around and marvelled at some of the stuff in the theatre. Coming from a time where technology was on a cusp, and pretty majorly thanks to her father and her, a "modern" movie theatre was pretty impressive. It smelled a bit like the Millenial Fair, minus the animal smells fairs were known form. More like the area where they sold food. She felt her stomach rumble and looked down, rolling her eyes. As usual, she'd missed her most recent meal thanks to food. Her mother usually made sure she didn't starve. The woman often lamented how Lucca had picked up that trait from her father, Taban.
She heard talking behind her and turned around, finally noticing the small group. She pulled her letter out and used the hand holding it to wave. Being a main character from a rather popular video game meant that some of those who had entered the theatre stood a chance at recognizing her. Although not being the main character, just as likely not. She did rather resemble Bulma from another popular franchise, actually. At least in general appearance as opposed to things like hair color and such.
"You find one of these creepy letters, too?" she asked, not realizing some of them may have gotten their letter intentionally rather than the random way she had "Oh! My name's Lucca, by the way."
Try not to be rude there, Lucca... she thought to herself as she slightly smiled at the group.

"Oh, heya, 4," Raz greeted, nodding back to him. "Eh, I don't blame you. In a place like this, you can never be too careful."
"HI!" Ed waved energetically, first to 4, then to Lucca. "HIHIHIHI!!!"
"Jeez, Ed, cool your jets!"

Gogo walked in, and made her way over to the rest of the group. Right, time for Disarming Personality A.
"Oh, so you guys got one of those letters too?" Gogo asked. "I just got here a few days ago, so I'm not really sure what they're all about." She flexed the fingers on her robotic hand as she said this. She was intentionally trying to get them to look at it. It was one of those offsetting things that tended to simultanously be ignored and noticed.

Wally, of course, had to be the one to choose to notice it. "Is that a... metal robot hand?"
If this had been meant to help the others catch their attention to this factor, it done it's job very well. As for Wally, he stared in wide-eyed awe at the hand a moment... ... ... ...
..............
..............
"COOOOOOOOOL..." He took Gogo's hand in a non-suspicious matter, and proceeded to shake her hand. "Is that an actual metal hand, or is it a fake? Cause, honestly? I'm loving it! It's so cool looking!"

Lucca sweatdropped at Ed and meekly lifted her hand to wave. She wasn't good at the social situations. This teen had more energy than Marle... which was kind of saying something. She turned her head when she saw Gogo walking in. The alien hadn't even needed to flex her hand, Lucca tuned right into it.
Of course, Wally reacted before she had a chance to, and concealed her sight of it. She walked over and adjusted her glasses up and down a few times. Unlike Wally, she could tell it was very much functional. It wasn't a technology she knew, but it was very fascinating.
"That's rather amazing! How does it get power? Is it wired directly into your nervous system or does it have a built in power source? Oh, I suppose it could have an external one as well if it got enough range. Does it need fuel? What kind of wiring does it use? Do you have the schematics for it, I'd love to take a look!"
Anyone that wasn't lost by her spheal of words would see her face had lit up. Heck, she wasn't even aware she was holding the letter in her free hand. She'd all but forgotten why she was here. If Lucca was nothing else, she was into machines. She almost lamented it was attached to this arrival and not broken down. She would have loved to reverse engineer it. Most of her work with bipedal humanoid robots had come from the work she had done on Robo, after all.

Raz whistled, impressed. "Robotic arm? Cool."
Ed stared at Lucca as she ran down her seemingly endless list of questions. Though he stayed quiet, he continued to lightly bound up and down. He was so excited!

"I knew a guy with a robot hand." 4 admitted. "He was the best assassin in the organization. Eventually, he hung himself because it was hard for him to--"
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, ALL THE WAY FROM THE WASHINGTON, DC: THE MAN WHO BUILT THE DEVASTRON AND THE REBEL-XYZ! PROF. NEFARIOUS!"
4 looked down as the curtains crawled open, revealing a man with more robot parts standing awkwardly in front of the silver screen. Cautiously, he spoke into the microphone in front of him; evidently, it wasn't plugged in.
"I can't... Jorge, I can't get it to work. "DID YOU PLUG THE RED INTO THE RED?" Boomed a voice from the projectionist's booth.
"Yes." "WHAT ABOUT THE BLUE?" "Jorge, don't ques--" "DID YOU PLUG IN THE BLUE?" "... Yes." "WHAT ABOUT THE YELL--" "Yes, I got the yellow plug, t--" "OH, HANG ON; I SEE THE PROBLEM. THE RED WASN'T PLUGGED IN." "..." "TRY IT NOW."
The professor sighed, tapping the mike head. When reverb came out of the speakers that lined the theatre's walls, he began to speak.
"Um... if you could all take your seats?"

Gogo had gotten a bit flustered at the bombardment of questions and praise, and how her hand had become the object of everyone's focus. Which had been her intent. Ah, the joys of deception.
"Oh, um... thanks... I made it myself, actually... it's--" She stopped in the middle of her sentence as the professor began to speak. ...And this is why testing the equipment before everyone gets here is a good idea, idiot. She thought to herself. In any case, she took a seat.
