Can anyone explain what the Captchalogue card system and stylladex look like from an in-universe perspective? At friends' recommendation, I've been reading the webcomic called "Homestuck" from the beginning to get a better understanding of the series as I continue to see its characters in action in DC. However, there are still things I don't quite understand. This is one of them.
Yes, I did try searching Google Image for Captchalogue and stylladex, but I only got back images from the comic itself which doesn't really help me understand any better.

If you continue reading you'll actually getting a visual for how things look in verse. The little cards you see with the images on them are actually what the characters see and can even handle as physical items.
I am going to give you the BEST ADVICE anyone could ever give you while reading Homestuck. Ready?
Just keep reading.
You'll get questions as you go but instead of stopping to ask them just push on, keep reading. I PROMISE that all questions (up to the current point of the story, that is) will be answered eventually. Once I realized that I found it very easy to be able to wonder these things but have the secure knowledge that I would eventually find out.

Agreed with Pseu on all accounts.
You will NOT undersatnd everything right away. If you stop to question everything, you'll never get through Homestuck. Just know that everything comes full circle and we proceed to blow your mind when it does.
