Physical Description
Knuckles is a mostly red echidna from Mobius. He has several bright red dreadlocks on his head, a crescent moon birthmark on his chest, a jagged tail, huge spike knuckled fists, and violet eyes. He also has two extremely large hands- compared to other Mobians, anyway- with a pair of spiked knuckles on each. He also owns a set of red and yellow shoes with Lego laces.
Weapons
Knuckles normally just uses his fists in a fight, but he's been seen using his Shovel Claw to dig through hard surfaces.
Abilities/Powers
Knuckles' main abilities are his strong as heck punches, gliding on his dread locks, and above average- but not faster than sonic's- speed. He also has some pyrokinetic abilities, but he's normally unable to wield them without help. He's also capable of easily scaling some surfaces, and has powerful detecting abilities.

Though Knuckles can often times be tricked in the most pivotol of moments, he has a very true heart. It normally takes Sonic to set Knuckles straight in the event Eggman (or someone else) toys with Knuckles to the point of him attacking his allies.
History
For as long as he can remember, Knuckles has been the gurdian of Angel Island's Master Emerald. He never had any contact with the outside world until after Eggman's invasion of Knuckles' homeland, where he tricked Knuckles into thinking Sonic and Tails were going to come to the island and steal the Master emerald- when it was Eggman himself who was planning on stealing it away.
Once the misunderstanding was wiped off the face of the earth, Knuckles went back to peacefully relaxing on his home. Periodically, he would leave for one reason or another- one being the Master Emerald's dissapearance or shattering, others being assistance needed for his friends. Fortunately enough, as Sonic's friend count grew, so too did Knuckles'; It got to the point Knuckles could freely leave the Master Emerald be without having to guard it himself- though who it is he hires is left to debate. Recently, however, Knuckles has gone missing- but who can say why that is?
