Alright, let me get one thing straight here. The newest episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was a good episode. It was a good introduction into the background of the history of Equestria's denizens and is pretty solid. This rant will involve spoilers, so... I'll color it black and you can highlight the below if you don't want to be spoiled. Annoying as it is, I don't know how to create those spoiler boxes.
Now I know this will be seen as petty. It's their show, they can do whatever they want with it. However, the movement with the frost spirits at the end freezing those who did not have friendship in their heart makes me wonder... if conflict and strife brings forth the killer blizzard...
Wouldn't the strife between Twilight's Hammer and the denizens of Equestria in War Is Useless Here do the same thing?
This new addition to canon makes the thread I have planned seem like a bad thing and thus the threads that have stemmed from it are also bad. After all, there is no friendship in the hearts of those that would aim to destroy the world. And, in essence, they would succeed by bringing forth the Blizzard, which means...
Twilight's Hammer would've succeeded in their quest.
Thus my plot movements are out of canon context, and as I do not yet possess the knowledge to remedy this, I may have to ask to remove War and the other two threads branching from it altogether and start a new timeline that DOES accurately follow the canon.

Well... even if that thing does happen thanks to the cult... we have a bunch of people with supernatural powers, including one who can channel the power of a woman who makes reality her bitch on a daily basis. I think we could figure something out. It could be a followup conflict... one where our group in the Woods will have to get involved in.

Question is... (Highlight below.)
Can they even be slaughtered? If they could be, Lunessa could just burn 'em.

They don't say in the episode... so why not compromise. Highlight. They can't be killed by normal magic. And are too physically powerful for most to kill in hand-to-hand. That would fix the issue pretty cleanly. None of the Equestrians could do anything, and neither could Lunessa. Bring the Danmakuists and their powers in, and we have our means of victory. What do you say to that?

Different compromise. Highlight. Normal magic can stall them, but can't defeat them. Danmakuists can defeat them.

Works for me. Danmaku isn't typical magic, after all.
