"UM." Shackles let his hand fall to his side, then rubbed his chin. He hadn't really thought that far ahead yet. C'mon, Shakes, pull something out of your ass. You're the best at that. "We may have to wait on specifics for now, but, I'll probably need some more of a special elixir for a potion I'm brewing."
"What?" Thel said flatly. Shackles just gave him a good punch in the arm, shutting him up. "Ow. You do realize that there are SPIKES on your GLOVES, right?" He gritted out of his clenched jaws. Shackles only punched him again, smiling.
"Looks like we have access to our bank accounts from here." Tycho walked up behind Gabe and reached into the others back pocket, pulling out his wallet. He had to be sure Gabe brought his bank card, also.

Gabe nodded in resonse to Shackles. Potion ingredients, huh? Good place to start as any.
He went as stiff as a board, however, when a hand frisked his behind. He would've reached for his tube, but Tycho's spoken words reassured him that it wasn't some random molestor guy. What a relief.
...actually, more than a relief. His wallet was packed pretty tightly into his pocket, as it was brimming fat with quarters--for an emergancy. Laundry or video games, you never know. So Tycho more than likely had to make an effort to grasp at the bulging wallet and tug it out.
It was... a funky sensation. It wasn't the same as when Tom was accidently grabbing his butt; this grasp was more purposeful. With a familiar hand. That thought alone made his blush only burn harder.
When Tycho finally pulled away, he swiveled around, looked Tycho in the eye, choked a bit on his words, then sputtered out, "Y-ya could've just ASKED for that, you know!"

"Well, you were busy, so I decided to take matters into my own hands." Tycho said, waving nonchalantly, before tossing the wallet back to his friend. "If we plan on staying here for an allotted amount of time, we need funds and I'd rather rely on what we have at our dispense before relying on what we gain from missions." He then noticed the faint blush and would have asked, if he didn't know Gabe better; so, he just passed it off as Gabe being.... Gabe.
"You guys want to go weapon shopping now, or what?" Shackles asked, raising his hand as if he were in school. "We can take you to the store here and check out their heavy artillery." He said, sounding a little more than excited about the artillery part.
"Or if you prefer, they do have quite the sword collection." Thel said before leading the way towards a set of escalators.
"- and then there's all the guns." Shackles continued. He would have named off every single item in the store if Thel hadn't walked off, practically leaving the others behind. He quickly caught up to the alien, who was already half way up the escalator. "C'mon, guys."
Tycho liked the sound of this store, maybe they would get lucky and find a Portal Gun. "I call dibs on the rifle." Tycho said to Gabe, grinning.

Gabe managed a weak, stupid grin in Tycho's direction, still mildly rubbing his offended rear-end uncomfortably. "I-It's all yours, dude. You know I prefer swords anyway..."
Well that was just WEIRD. Returning the wallet that caused this mess only seemed that much more awkward. It took Gabe a second to recover, jumping when he realized he was being left behind, and hustled to catch up.
------------
The awkwardness would leave him the moment they stepped into a store simply named "The Armory."
"Whoooaaaa-ho-ho-ho." As easily impressed as he was, this was just COOL. Like that Sword in the Stone plce, but all of this shit was REAL. One wall lined with swords, another wall decked with long-barreled artillery, various other weapons on other walls.
"I cannot beLIEVE this is legal. Yeah, this place is still awesome."

"Hey, Gabe." Shackles tapped him on the shoulder. "They've also got a firing range here." He said with utmost excitement.
"For those who are actually considering purchasing a gun, Ashikase." Thel corrected before pulling a Gravity Hammer off the wall, wielding it very naturally. Shackles pouted at his friend before grabbing a new flame thrower, much like Pyro's from TF2.
"Well, since you've taken my old one away, I guess I'll just have to buy a new one." He grinned, sticking his tongue out childishly. "Go on you guys, pick out something nice, this place has practically everything ever."
Tycho looked at Gabe, who was in awe of the store; he would have to agree, this Armory was quite impressive. He decided to stay close to Gabe, help him pick out his weapon before choosing his own. "So, what do you think you're going to go for?"

"Huh?" Gabe blinked towards the firing range, his lower lip protruding in thoughtful disinterest. "Oh, uh. Cool."
Hey, guns were cool, there was no doubt about that. But there was just... something infinately cooler about a sword. The style, the form, the shape... he found his gaze wandering over the wall of swords, examining each one and wondering which would fit his style best.
"...mmm, I dunno..." he shrugged at Tycho's question. Good thing he was distracted, considering how close Tycho was next to him. "I think I'm gonna go for... something light. Something quick," he decided, looking over the smaller katanas. "I got a feeling about this one. Somethin's just.. telling me that's the way to go, y'know?"

Tycho smiled at Gabe, he did admire Gabe's taste in weaponry even though his own was more the gun-powder and bullets variety. "Is that the only one you want? Never hurts to double up when it comes to fighting, just in case your enemy disarms you." Tycho said, looking over the two-hand swords and axes. That battle axe was looking quite nice, maybe he'd consider getting it for a melee weapon. "And in this place, no telling who'd we run into. For all we know, the Ninja Turtles could come out of nowhere."
Arbiter have the Gravity Hammer a few swings before placing it back on the wall, it had been quite some time since he'd actually used Covenant weaponry, it felt nice. He walked around a few more aisles picking up a Needler and a new Energy Sword.
All the while Shackles was testing out the new flame thrower in the firing range. When he came out, his face was a little black, but he looked very pleased with the choice. "Totally buying this baby."

"Hmm... good point." Gabe reached for a pair of shorter katanas that obviously went together, giving a few practice swings. "...funky. Haven't tried using two at once, but who knows," he grinned at Tycho. "Maybe we'll fine an awesome guru who will teach me the ways of the double-blade style!"
He swiped around again, getting close to slicing Tycho and even himself, before Shackles caught his attention, and he grinned hugely. "Hehehe. Go for it, man. I think I got what I want." He sheathed them, turning to Tycho. "How 'bout you? You seeing anything you want?"

"Hm?" Tycho kept his eye on the battle axe, but he'd come back to it later once he'd picked out a gun. "I've been thinking double-barrel shot gun, but this place seems to have quite the selection. So, I'll just have to see." Tycho headed down an aisle with several rows of shot guns. "And, I don't know about the Guru. But we may run across someone who can help train you." His eye spotted an over/under double barrel and he reached out, pulling it off the rack.
"This one." Tycho held it up to his shoulder, testing out it weight and grinned. "Definitely." He picked out a black sheath and headed towards the firing range, anxious to test the gun out. "You coming with?" Tycho asked Gabe.
Shackles excitedly purchased the flame thrower and waited at the register for everyone else to choose what they wanted. He absolutely couldn't wait to use his new baby. After a bit, Arbiter payed for his items and stood by the other.
Arbiter looked at the black-haired man next to him. "So, what other things are you going to pull out of your ass to tell them?" Shackles just shrugged.
"I'll figure something out when we get there. I only plan ahead when it's something stupid."

"We can always come back and restock, too," Gabe noted, following Tycho down the aisle of artillery. He spaced out a bit waiting, but at least he didn't have to wait long before Tycho decided. He hopped a bit at his pal's beckoning, and followed him to the front counter to purcahse their wares.
"Man. Have I told you how excited I am for this adventure yet?" he spoke up just for the sake of speaking. "SO damn excited. Shackles was talking about a potion ingrediant they needed. Good place to start as any, right?"

"It's good for a starter quest, anyway. Since we don't quite know our stats, it's best we don't bite off more than we can chew." Tycho eyed the cashier warily before paying for both Gabe's and his weapons, then they both rejoined the two oddly paired roommates.
"I see you guys picked out some nice ones." Shackled complimented, looking over their chosen arms before readjusting his own in his hands. Thel just nodded to them and started walking. Tycho followed behind the alien with Shackles close, then he spoke up. "About this.... quest you have for us, Shackles-"
"Oh yeah; that quest I have for you guys! I need an ingredient for this super awesome potion I'm making, and the only place it's found is this abandoned laboratory out in the edge of the island, to the north." Shackles gestured to the west, knowingly, mind you. "Its really simple mind you, I just need some Extractilite, preferably the solid kind, can't get it purified when it's liquid. It's all diluted, like filtered water. Doesn't have the same slight unactive-radioactivity when its diluted."
"Unactive-Radioactivity?" Tycho said, skeptically.
"Yeah, it's irradiated, but not."
"That doesn't make any sense, if something is irradiated, then it is- by definition- radioactive."

"Oh-my-god-Tycho-who-cares!" Gabe rushed out, eagerly taking the reigns and nodding rapidly towards Shackles. "You got it! Wait. I mean."
He readjusted his posture and pretty much entire attitude into something resembling a noble knight, bowing and answering, "We graciously accept this quest!"
If he was in a place where he wouldn't be judged as a complete weirdo for the theatrics, than he was damn well going to follow through with them.

Tycho was obviously being ignored and silently decided that Gabe was going to be the one to carry the radioactive agent. He also rolled his eyes then over-exaggeratedly mimicked Gabe's ridiculous pose. "Yes, thanks for this quest. Now, you said to the North? Can we get a direct map to this Laboratory, so we don't get lost?" Shackles nodded his head enthusiastically, then ran over to Thel.
"Hey, you know the way to the Abandoned Labs, right?" The alien eyed the other suspiciously.
"I do, why?" Thel leaned against the wall, waiting for Shackles' hilarious explanation.
"'Cus, that's where I'm sending these guys. I'll promise not to set anything in the apartment on fire if you map it for meeee~!" Shackles put on his best puppy face. Thel shook his head and pulled a map of the Island out of his satchel and quickly scribbled out a longer than needs to be path to the Lab, then handed it over to Shackles.
"If anything happens to them, though, Ashikase, it's all on you." The Sangheili warned and sent the test subject on his merry way. Shackles ran back over to the two others and handed Gabe the map.
"Here you go, guys. Just follow this path, this way has less monsters to fight."

"Yesssssss!" Gabe snatched up the map and unrolled it, holding it out for both him and Tycho to read. "Hmmmmm..." he hummed in exaggerated contemplation, tracing the red path with a finger. "North by northwest huh... wow that isn't ominous at ALL."
Shrugging, he kept the map out and started walking. "Well, shit, this quest isn't gonna go on itself! Let's hustle!"

"Well, onward to adventure then, Gabe?" Tycho asked motioning towards the exit, then began to walk towards it.
Shackles and Thel both watched, bemused that the two men were actually going through with this ridiculous plan. Thel silently wished they wouldn't get hurt while Shackles tried his best to keep from laughing his ass off. "Oh yeah, guys! When you've got the material, just come back to our apartment to deliver it! Your reward will be bunking with us until y'all can get a place of your own and a bunch of experience!" The black haired man said to them as they passed by and left the mall.
Waving a short goodbye to the roomates, Tycho turned to Gabe. "I guess a place to stay for a while is a good enough reward for this simple task, what do you think?"
