Full Name: Julian Keith Andrewson
Nickname(s): Mostly derogatory ones like freak. Haters gonna hate.
Age: 9
Height: Short
Weight: Average
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alliance: Good
Home: Somewhere northwest US, I think; he lives in the same town as a mansion on 1123 Wilson Way
Franchise: Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (old RPG fan character)
Physical Description
Julian's an average looking boy, having lightish blond hair and green eyes. He wears a purple t-shirt, green pants, and blue tennis shoes.
Weapons
None.
Abilities/Powers
Julian can bring any being he can think of to life just by imagining it hard, though this is something anyone can do in the world he comes from. This is why learning to tame one's imagination is essential to society to prevent an overpopulation (or worse, more of the dangerous kinds) of imaginary friends.
One power Julian has that is not a common sight where he comes from, however, is his telekinesis. This power allows him to mentally move anything of a definite solid form that's small and light enough for him to physically move as along as he knows exactly where it is relative to him and can concentrate on the task. He cannot levitate himself. Warned by his sister that he could be put into some freak show or studied by the government or some crazy thing like that, Julian keeps this ability secret from the public. But Mac and his other friends at Foster's have learned, and some new friends he made on Dimensional Island... Ah, the heck with it! With the kind of crazy things running around this island, no one's gonna bat an eyelash if he levitates stuff around here!
Skills
A more physical type, Julian is good at various sports, including wrestling (even if the "pro" version is horribly fake). He has a fair amount of artistic skills and an ear for music, to the point where Mac sometimes gets him to tap into that part of himself to help his otherwise less than stellar math grades. His general school grade average is around between Bs and Cs, unlike Mr. Straight A Mac over there.
Personality
Julian is one of a very warm and engaging demeanor, and he's certainly not the type to worry about embarrassing himself doing whatever he likes. As such, he's typically not the type to jump the bandwagon with the rest of the crowd, except maybe in special cases. Unlike his studious best friend, Julian learns best through the hands-on approach and experience. Julian's favorite color is purple, season is Spring, and he loves mystery and/or fantasy books and movies.
History
Julian is the second born of two working parents and the little brother of a snobbish teenage girl named Judy. At the age of four, he accidentally discovered his telekinetic ability. Judy, having already believed her brother to be a little freak, convinced him he was better off not telling anyone. While she may claim not to like him at all, this may have been in part fueled by a subconscious desire to protect him. A year or so later, a lonely Julian thought up a lovable big bear-like...thing as his new friend and named him Mikey.
The summer before fourth grade, the family moved to a new town. There was a new baby on the way, predicted to be a girl, and Julian's parents were worried the new addition would probably make it harder to support the whole family and Mikey, especially considering what a big eater he is. Unable to find any boarding residence close enough that catered to imaginary friends, Julian was forced to put him up for adoption a week before school started.
Come school time, Julian spent about a day or so enduring teasing from everyone who didn't just ignore him. While he managed to hold in and ignore it, all the negative attention he got attracted the attention of another boy his age. Mac was a more reserved and mature kid. He did have an imaginary friend, though, whom he also had to give up for slightly different reasons. His mother initially forbade Mac from visiting the foster home he dropped him off at, as he'd been secretly doing for the past year or so. But when a subsequent misadventure, only partially revolving around the arrival of Frankie's just as reserved teenage nephew, highlighted Mac's high value to Foster's, his mom lifted the ban on a trial basis.
The conditions of the trial, other than the expected never keep a secret like that from her again, was that he had to make at least one close personal human friend his age by one week into school. This would ensure Mom that Mac wasn't too heavily dependent on his imaginary one, Bloo. Out of both a desire to fulfill his mother's condition and sympathy for the new kid's plight, Mac sat down with him at lunch one day and fondly welcomed him to town. Julian happily accepted the welcome and accurately predicted they'd be good friends; Julian finding Mac cool due to how smart and creative he is, and Mac finding Julian the same for his silly yet self-confident will to be himself not matter what others thought. Mac's mom accepted this and kept her end of the bargain by lifting the ban on Foster's visits permanently.
Mac struck a deal with the home's founder, Madame Foster, that allowed Mikey to remain unadoptable as long as Julian visited everyday like Mac, much to he chagrin of Mr. Herriman who was starting to get a little sick of handing out that deal. Julian's youngersister brother was born sometime afterwards and named Jared. One day, Julian discovered something odd hidden between two posts in an abandoned yard down the street from Foster's. It was some kind of weird blue portal, and on the other side was that appeared to be some kind of train station. Only he was quick to learn it was no train station. He returned as fast as he could to Foster's to report his finding.
Other
The Julian described above is more or less the Julian I used at Foster's Forum For Imaginary Friends, a Foster's fan forum I met quite a few of my online friends at, and indirectly met quite a few others through them. While he is based on the RPs I had with my friends there, he's not solidly from whatever continuity we had in our RPs back them. Let's just say, he's a retcon of Julian. At the very least, a much closer retcon than the current "retcon" I use of Julian elsewhere.
