Mordecai is a 6'3'' tall anthropomorphic blue jay. He is blue with a white chest and sports a black beak, teeth, chest line, as well as black stripes on his tail feathers and fingers, as well as two white stripes on his wings, or arms.

Mordecai stole three moves (at least) from the ancient texts of Death Kwan Do.

Mordecai is an expert at video games, at least among his circle of associates. He's particularly good at "Punchies," so it's assumed he could hold his own in a fist-fight. He has a fairly decent grasp of the guitar. He also has a college education, presumably in art (though this hasn't been shown yet, as far as I can tell).
Personality
Mordecai would be best described as mild-mannered. He lacks clothing, plays video games, and he drinks copious amounts of coffee and soda. Out of the duo, Mordecai displays far more patience and maturity than Rigby. Even though almost every problem in every episode that was caused by the duo is Rigby's fault, Mordecai puts up with his laziness and immaturity. Mordecai tends to be more sociable and friendly than Rigby, and has much more manageable relationships with others.
Although Mordecai naturally despises work, he strives to keep a good reputation, as he has a burgeoning sense of responsibility and decency. But that doesn't mean he doesn't like to have a little fun every once in a while, hence why he's often lumped into the slacker category.
Mordecai's most obvious shortcoming is his inability to engage his love interests. Whenever he is around his crush, Margaret, he will often stutter or lose focus. In spite of this, he would often make up excuses to go to The Coffee Shop just to see her.
Despite how often Rigby gets them into trouble, and how often he works on his last nerves, it's clear that Mordecai has a strong loyalty to Rigby and truly cares about him, like bros.
History
Not much is revealed about his background, but it's assumed Mordecai's had a moderately comfortable, regular upbringing. He's been friends when Rigby since they were six years old, if not earlier.
Looking to make some easy income, the two of them applied for and got jobs as groundskeepers in a local city park, which provide them with room and board. It's a wonder they haven't been fired yet (though park manager Benson is constantly threatening to), as they are notorious for slacking off on the job.
As well as getting themselves caught in supernatural disasters. But that's regular.
