The two Pegasus ponies flew towards the house, but neither of them calculated the large storm that was bearing overhead. Butterscotch watched the grey clouds with worry as he flew close to Rainbow Blitz, almost too close because their wings would occasionally tap one another.
"Hey, Rainbow Blitz.... I don't like how those clouds look...." Butterscotch said, nervously. "Maybe we should land and find shelter...."

Blitz looked up at the clouds. He turned to Butterscotch with a smirk. "Don't worry, 'Scotch. I got this."
He flew up and attempted to fly through a rather large cloud that was floating by to pop it. "Attempted" being the key word here. He went right through it, to his surprise, and came through wet from the moisture. "What the...?" He didn't expect to not be able to mess with the clouds... nor did he expect the sudden bolt of lightning as it began to rain hard. "AUUUGH!"
Now, Blitz had been zapped before; there was pretty much no weather pegasus who hadn't. He also took a bolt to the flank when that obnoxious show-pony came into town. Neither instance was like what just happened. He fell for a while before he managed to open his wings and make a safe landing.
"Nngh... that hurt..."
Meanwhile, in a nearby part of the woods, there was a sudden flash of light. The flashing lightning would've made it go unnoticed, granted, but the violet unicorn that appeared was surprised. "...Am I in the Everfree Forest? There wasn't supposed to be a lightning storm today..." Dusk Shine started walking, searching for his friends.

"Rainbow!" The yellow Pegasus flew down after him as fast as his wings would take him, but by the time Blitz had landed, Butterscotch was still in the air. He floated down slowly and landed next to the other pony. "A-are you alright? Do we need to get you to a hospital?" Butterscotch paced around Rainbow Blitz, worried, checking for any injuries- like a mother hen.
"I think we should get you to a hospital, Blitz. You could have some kind of internal injury, or-or you can have a broken bone or even a concussion!" Butterscotch gently pushed at the other side to try and get him moving so they could get Rainbow medical attention, whether he needed it or not. As Scotch tried to push, the muddy ground they stood on caused him to slip and fall face first in the mud.
The storm overhead began to rain cats and dogs(not literally.)

In spite of the lingering pain, Blitz still shot Butterscotch a smirk. "I... I just got zapped by lightning, 'Scotch, I didn't get thrown into a tornado. C'mon... you know I'm tougher than that." He coughed a few times. "No blood, so I think... I'll be okay. C'mon, let's find someplace to get out of this storm."
Then Butterscotch went face-first in the mud. "Hey!" Blitz helped Butterscotch back up. "...I don't think we're going to be going much of anywhere in this weather... ....Is that tree hollow?" Blitz looked, and yes; there was a rather large tree with a hollow trunk. "That'll do for now, I think..." He thought about Dusk's home; the tree-library.
Dusk stepped out from under the tree he was under and was promptly soaked with water. "...Well... This is rather unpleasant. Rainbow Blitz should be around here somewhere... I wonder if Butterscotch is with him." Dusk started walking again, heading right for the hollow tree, though from the other direction.

"Oh, y-yeah, that tree looks nice.... Let me help." Butterscotch stepped close to Blitz so he could lean on him as they headed towards the tree. A small shiver went through Scotch's body, from a combination of worry, being scared, and the cold wind- storms, even big ones, in Equestria never gave him chills like this. So, it was safe to say they weren't in Ponyville anymore. With one wing, Butterscotch raised it over Rainbow's back and his other tucked snugly to his side to try and keep some warmth until they got into the hollow tree.
"Rainbow, you stay here for a minute, I'll go see if there is something to cover part of this big hole.... I will be right back." Butterscotch trotted off being sure to stay within sight of the other Pegasus. "Oh, I wish we could find someone else to help us...." He murmured, looking at some slightly big Elephant Ear leaves- none of these were big enough to do anything, so he moved on, occasionally glancing back at the tree where Blitz was.

Blitz was grateful for the support; even though he tried not to show it, it really hurt getting electrocuted like that. Bravado could only do so much, unfortunately; for all his talk, Blitz was feeling pretty weak. He laid down in the hollow tree, shivering slightly. "...Man, it's cold..." His stomach growled loudly again. "...Nnngh... so hungry..."
Meanwhile, Dusk was walking through the woods, trying to stay under trees as best he could to avoid getting any wetter. He walked past a clearing and glanced across; what he saw made his eyes widen. He could've sworn he had seen a light-yellow something moving. The unicorn started walked towards it, shouting, "Butterscotch?! Is that you?!"

As he continued looking for something sizable to cover the opening in the tree, Butterscotch managed to find a large chunk of bark that looked like it would fit. He went to pull it down off the dead tree and it fell to the ground.
"Goodness, I'm sorry, but I really need this to keep my injured friend warm." He nuzzled the tree in thanks and went to drag the bark back to Rainbow Blitz, that is until he heard a very familiar voice shout over the howling winds and pounding rain. "Dusk Shine?" Butterscotch gently set the bark down and galloped towards the Unicorn. "Dusk Shine, oh gosh, it is you." He said as loud as he could, once he'd gotten to Dusk Shine, 'Scotch gave him a hug. "We've been looking for you hoping you'd be here."

Dusk returned the hug. "I'm glad to see you, too. I was wondering if you'd be here... and if you are, that must mean Rainbow Blitz is, too!" Dusk started trotting towards where he had seen Butterscotch at first and saw Blitz laying down in the hollow tree. "He looks like he's in rough shape... what happened to him?"
Blitz weakly lifted his head up. "Issat Dusk?" He grinned slightly and chuckled. "Egghead always shows up when we need him..." He laid back down, trying to conserve his strength. He wouldn't admit it, but the combination of electrocution and hunger was sapping quite a bit of his strength.
