Full Name: Jade Harley
Nickname(s): Jadesprite, Becsprite (Teir-1 prototyping), Dream Jade (former self)
Age: 13 years plus 13 more spent dead
Height: Shortish
Weight: Average
Gender: Female
Race: Part human dream self, part canine First Guardian, part kernelsprite
Alliance: Good
Home: Prospit's moon, then the lab of her real self's house (as a stuffed and preserved corpse), Land of Frost and Frogs and Skaia (as her current form)
Franchise: Homestuck
Physical Description
As Dream Jade, she had the appearance of a 13-year-old girl with long black hair, green eyes, oval glasses, and buck teeth, much like the real girl she was manifested after. She wore a golden yellow night gown with a bright yellow logo that typically took the form of a crescent moon but alternated every so often thanks to the dream bedroom's version of Jade's "wardrobifier". After the "real self" Jade merged her dream self's stuffed body with Becsprite, the ghost-like green glowing dog gained Jade's face and hair.
Weapons
Jadesprite appeared not to have any weapons on her, but being a manifestation of Jade Harley, she knows how to use a firearm. However, with enough creativity, she can use the powers she inherited from Becquerel as a weapon.
Abilities/Powers
Merged with Becquerel the First Guardian dog, Jadesprite has certain powerful abilities such as being able to view any location within the local universe and teleport people, objects, and herself there. These powers are derived from the Green Sun, a MASSIVE star in the middle of the multiverse. The limits in her First Guardian powers are that she cannot view or teleport anything to another universe or teleport herself to the general vicinity of the Green Sun.
As the dream self of the Witch of Space, she has the potential to learn to alter the size of objects. But she cannot unlock their full potential without ascending to God Tiers, which is unlikely at this point and probably doesn't have any chance of happening from this null session island. Being a sprite, Jadesprite has mental access to information pertaining to the Sburb game, particularly her real self's quest as the Witch of Space. Not that that'll do her any good at this point.
Skills
Jade--and subsequently Jadesprite--is an excellent markswoman with a gun and rifle and plays the electric bass rather well. Dream Jade could grow an extra pair of arms to play the bass in its advanced setting, but it's unknown if Jadesprite can do the same. She can also play the flute...um, just not that well. As a Prospit dreamer, Jade can see visions of the past, present, and future if she looks into the Skaian clouds; this isn't exactly a "power" in the typical sense, which is why it's listed here instead.
Personality
Jadesprite's personality is mostly that of the original Jade Harley, only more forgetful and emotional. She has interest in older cartoons, the Furry fandom, Nuclear physics, and high-tech gadgetry, and she is a skilled markswoman (though perplexingly, she is also a pacifist).
She was originally very cheerful and optimistic, and her favorite TV show was the ridiculously sugary Squiddles!. But years of mind-boggling wandering throughout Paradox Space left her a scared and confused emotional wreck. And, oddly enough, she seems to have found Squiddles! considerably less enjoyable. She is often prone to fits of sobbing and, as a result of being prototyped into the same kernelsprite as Bec, occasional woofs. She wants to be every bit as brave and helpful as Jade is, and by association she was as her living dream self; she's just got a lot of baggage to deal with first.
History
From an early age, Jade Harley was susceptible to frequent sleep spells and subsequent sleepwalking. This was due to the psychic influence of a troll named Vriska Serket. Whenever she slept, a copy of Jade appeared on the moon of the golden planet Prospit which she controlled through her dreams. One night, Dream Jade subconsciously led her sleeping real self out into the lake outside where she some up to find a strange white frog. The frog died suddenly and mysteriously, but it would serve a great importance to real Jade much later. Jade's grandfather would create a "Dream Bot" to do all of her sleepwalking for her and keep her safe in bed.
Whenever Prospit went into an eclipse with the larger planet Skaia, Dream Jade could see visions of the past, present, and future by peering into the Skaian clouds. These visions inspired real Jade to do things like tell Rose that the game Sburb could bring her dead cat Jaspers back to life and collaborate with an alternate version of her grandfather/son to turn a plush bunny into a powerful cyborg bunny ultimately named Liv Tyler after the actress. As Dream Jade, she sought out a Prospitian Parcel Mistress and gave her written and verbal instructions to make sure the package containing that cyborg bunny made it to its intended recipient John exactly as predicted in the Skaian clouds.
After Jade found Dave's copies of Sburb in a mysterious time capsule, she used them to connect to Dave while he was using his older brother's copies. When she fell asleep, Dream Jade took over via Dream Bot. Dave, however, upset with her irrational behavior, tricked Dream Jade into making the bot smack her real self awake. At a later point, Dream Jade caught sight of a Dersite Courtyard Droll swiping the White Queen's power ring from the Parcel Mistress during the latter's quest to claim the package. After attacking him to take the ring back, Dream Jade had a moment of fun pretending to acquire the ring's powers; something she already knew only a Prospitian or Dersite could do. Unfortunately, she couldn't catch the Parcel Mistress in time to return it to her and resolved to return it later. She never got the chance.
Flying around a little before returning to her bedroom tower, Dream Jade only had a chance to catch a glimpse of an arriving demon--the same one she saw go after John in a Skaian cloud, Jack Noir--before he suddenly came down raining destruction upon Prospit. Everyone on the planet itself was killed, the White Queen only surviving as she had escaped for exile just moments ago. Jack then cut the massive chain linking Prospit to its moon, sending the latter on a collision course with the battlefield below. Dream John, still asleep, fell from his tower and was in danger of being crushed between the battlefield and the burning moon, so Dream Jade made a desperate attempt to wake him before shoving him out of the way and taking the fall for him. On Earth, Jade's dreambot exploded as a sign of her dream self's death. Dream John, now awake, took the ring from her and protected it with the help of Liv Tyler, and her time traveling grandfather taxadermied the dead dream self's corpse as per family tradition.
Over the next baker's dozen years, Dream Jade spent the afterlife wandering around Paradox Space and meeting different versions of her friends and the trolls from all different timelines. Having a hard time keeping it all in line, she became terribly confused and ultimately assumed the worst; that they failed. Coming to accept the "punishment" for her "failure", Dream Jade would have rather stayed in the afterlife with her dead friends. But her real self still on the mortal plane had other plans. When Bec prototyped Jade's kernelsprite with himself, unwittingly giving Jack Noir the godlike powers of a First Guardian, Jade tier-2 prototyped Becsprite with the corpse of her dream self in the hopes she would be able to counter "Bec Noir"; the newly formed Jadesprite was not happy about it.
Startled and upset by her sudden resurrection, scared by the prospect of the job she was being given, and blinded by the mental image of the Green Sun that gave her her new powers; Jadesprite became an emotional wreck of uncontrollable sobbing to her former real self's irritation. After a short argument between Jade and Jadesprite, the latter left feeling useless. The troll Karkat Vantas would shortly after compare the display to his own quarrels with his past/future selves that Jade complained about, making her realize what a hypocrite she'd become. Jadesprite, meanwhile, wandered onto the Battlefield planet of Skaia as if drawn by some mysterious subconscious desire. The explosions of the falling meteors as The Reckoning was reaching its final stages reminded Jadesprite of the explosion of Prospit's moon that killed her. This only scared her more. In the chaos, Jadesprite happened upon a strange portal and, believing this might have been what she was called there because of, entered it.
Other
CC, normal Jade's applicator, is OK with this. I talked to her well in advance about this.
