Full Name: Daring-Do
Nickname(s): Dare
Age: Adulthood (equivalent: 30-35 years)
Height: About 5 feet
Weight: Lean
Gender: Female
Race: Pegasus
Alliance: Lawful Good, Protagonist
Home: Fictional setting
Franchise: Daring-Do Book series, fictional series within the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic canon
Physical Description
Daring-Do is a dark tan pegasus with a shaded black mane. Her eyes are dark magenta. Her appearance is essentially a palette swap of Rainbow Dash, except for the cutie mark (Daring-Do's is a map compass) and her clothes (she wears an explorer's vest and a pith helmet). This is probably because Rainbow Dash, who is reading the book, is imagining herself as the protagonist.
Weapons
Daring-Do's only weapon is her helmet, which she occasionally uses to trip switches and defend against traps.
Abilities/Powers
She may possess an innate sense of danger, as she seems to react to traps nearly instantly.
Skills
She is able to fly, being a pegasus (however, not when her wing is broken, as it is for the Quest for the Sapphire Stone.)
Personality
Twilight Sparkle describes her as "adventurous, fierce, and undeniably, unquestionably, unstoppable." This seems to be true in the book. She bravely ventures into a temple filled with traps. Like Rainbow Dash, being deprived of the ability to fly is brutal to her. Yet despite her tenacity and bravery, and go-getter attitude, she is careful enough to unravel traps and puzzles. And she is morally strong enough to not give up in the face of utter defeat.
History
In the first book in the series, Daring-Do sought out a temple said to contain the legendary Sapphire Stone. After facing an early end before she could even enter the temple, she entered, despite the smell of death and decay. The temple of course is full of traps, like the traditional pressure-plate-triggered darts, nothing various dungeoneers past haven't encountered.
In the central temple chamber, Daring-Do found the Sapphire Stone, and she took it, though doing so set off another trap: lava began to fill the chamber. A series of climbs and a narrow escape later, a strange creature Daring names Ahuitzotl, takes the stone and sets Daring in an apparently inescapable death trap (spike walls, snakes, spiders, and quicksand) and absconds with the stone.
Daring slingshots her helmet into the switch on the wall using her teeth and her hoof, managing to escape and swiping the stone back from Ahuitzotl. The world saved, she dashes into the sunset.
The second book, titled Daring-Do and the Griffon's Goblet has yet to be touched on, as with the other many books in the series.
Other
As a fictional character in-universe, Daring will likely react negatively to being informed of her fictional state, and also will not know the ponies we all know and love (except maybe Celestia, who is a universal standard among ponies).
