Inpu frowned at the lock to his cell, his eyes darting up to where he'd finally figured out they hid the cameras in this facility. It was almost casual, and most would attribute it simply to a bored wandering of eyes. He squinted at the camera's hiding spot as if trying to figure something out, before pushing himself to his feet and muttering to himself about going crazy being locked up. All in all, nothing to take suspect to for the average person.
In truth, he couldn't say the accommodations were poor. The sporadic bits of knowledge about the modern world he'd understood from Ryou before they got cut off had never gone much into how prisons worked, so there was really no way for Inpu to know this was standard treatment in the modern era for such things. He could infer it, naturally enough, and it was downright comical how well thy treated their criminals. They'd have taken him for public execution by this point in Egypt (Ancient, he reminded himself.)
The accommodations weren't bad at all, but they were problematic. He couldn't go after the Pharaoh in here. He didn't have Ryou's cards on him (they'd taken them away along with most of his other possessions) and they seemed to function like the stone tablets of his home country. Without them, or at least the Ring to bridge the gap, he couldn't call on his Ka. At the rate things were going he'd have to play that Kousei bastard's game if he wanted to get out. It wouldn't be a bad place to spend the rest of his days - three square meals of better (if a bit odd) food than in Egypt and for no effort, but he had things to do.
He scowled for a moment. This wouldn't even be necessary if that demon had kept its end of the gods damned bargain. The freedom the forfeited contract had given him was an inconvenience.
"If you want something done right..." Inpu muttered under his breath.
