Lucas was intrigued at first as Kimmy spoke. Remembrance Fields certainly sounded nice...
It was when she mentioned the Nowhere Islands that he grew cold.
He became more and more nervous as she continued on. He didn't know there was any other land aside from the islands he grew up on.
And a terrible disaster?
Did she mean...
He walked over to one of the sunflowers and gazed at it, raising a hand to touch the petals.
"...I grew up on the Nowhere Islands," he said quietly. "But...they were destroyed when I was twelve. My...some of my friends died..." his voice broke. "And...and my dad...my dog, Boney...they..."
He turned to Kimmy. Tears were in his eyes. "I thought the islands were totally obliterated by the Heartless! Kavma even said--" He stopped. He was completely lost.
He remembered that. There was a legend in Tazmily about a dragon that slept beneath the island. It had been years since he had heard it...
Then Kavma had spoken to him about it.
"He who awakens the Dragon will have the power to either create a world of good, or a world of evil, depending on what is in their heart. That's the condensed version, at any rate."
Harmony and Malevolent, however, were completely new to him.
That was the first tipoff.
Then she asked her what his family would've thought of his actions.
"Y...you're right."
He wiped away the tears. "They would've told me to be strong. Even after two years. And you're right...I can pull through." He chuckled. "Hey, I already have. Subspace, Dr. Black, Zero...there's been so many times I thought I was gonna die. I guess I have my friends to thank for helping me. And...you too, Kimmy. I guess I needed the support."
He chuckled again. "Funny, though. We've just met and you're being supportive to me. Kinda reminds me of when I first met Jaron and the others."
He shook his head. "Listen to me. I really need to stop acting like this..."
