Physical Description
Somewhat small in stature, light yellow fur, light brown hair, pointed ears, usually wears a police uniform (with the hat backwards), unless he has the day off which he usually just loafs around in pajamas. He says he doesn't have anything else to wear.
Weapons
His police robo, which has long arms to grab and throw things, and a bubble blaster which can shoot bubbles that capture small creatures. This is currently missing somewhere on the island. Other than that I'm assuming a few police-type things like a baton and such.

Police skills. He's good at finding the bad guy.
He's lacking in the ability to relax apparently though.
Personality
Very kind and gentle (probably not the best qualities for a police officer), but when he needs to be he can at least try to be intimidating. He's really determined and is always willing to help out when someone needs it.
History
Waffle lives alone in the town of Porto in the kingdom of Prairie. He's been working with the Prairie police force to keep the peace.
His biggest assignment had him chasing the Black Cats Gang across Prairie while trying to find mysterious crystals that were used to re-awaken a creature called the Iron Giant, an ancient weapon from their ancestors that wiped them all out. A shady, black market dealer named Fool, had a plan to work with the Black Cats Gang and then betray them in the end to summon the Iron Giant from it's slumber.
In the end he had to destroy the Iron Giant from the inside out with the help of his friends (including the Black Cats Gang).
Finally Waffle was able to enjoy a little bit of peace (save for the few visits to the nearby country of Shepherd where he met Red and his friends). However, on a case recently, investigating strange disappearances, Waffle stumbled into a dimensional rip and stumbled in with his police robo. He's awakened somewhere on the island, separated from his robo. His first goal is to find that and then to get out of there.

He's desperately trying to get a vacation. It's not working in his favor clearly.
