CRA-ACK!!!
As we open up on the scene, which shows the skies far above Dimensional Island. Rain started to gently fall to the island below while the thunder roared on, streaks of lightning striking down furiously. It was truely a sight to behold...
Of course the grand sight became all the more surprising, as a gigantic ship floats into view...
But it wasn't just any ship... It was HUGE... Absolutely undeniably HUGE. What could be said to describe the gigantic wonder floating on scene? Well... Only minutes earlier as they approached the ship, Gantz had to note that the ship, grand and Majestic as it was... It looked Ivalician-based. Sure the technology was FAR beyond anything he had seen and was indeed WAAAY bigger, but the ship looked like somewhat like descriptions Gantz had heard of battleships such as the battleship Bahamut or other war ships in the times of war.
It surprised him to be sure, but not nearly as much as when he saw the inside. The inside was just as he thought it would be and so much more.
The Regnum Dei, Gantz noted, was clean and sterile, but was decorated loosely. The less distractions the better, likely. But as he traversed down the hall, he still noted holo-screens situated on the walls that pictured people of honorable mention in CLR's main employee repitiore. Or at least, that's what Gantz figured. Joining him was an armed escort, likely to ensure he wouldn't cause trouble.... Though really, they had little reason to be nervous around him.
It was Tarosuke they needed to worry about.
"Great, just great... Now the others are going to see me like this... This is just FANTASTIC. Can this day possibly get any worse?"
As the group walked down the hall, Tarosuke's answer came in the form of Gantz stopping at one holo-screen in particular...
It appeared to be of a young woman with long blonde hair and yellow decorations to hold them up in buns and wearing a light blue uniform topped with a pale pink bow.
................................
Odd..... Why did he stop with this picture? What could have drawn his attention to it?

"That's the former Superior, Ingrid."
Gantz, Tarosuke and the escort turned to see Miranda approach. She didn't look all that much different since the last time Gantz had seen her, save her hair looking a bit shorter. She and the guard exchanged a brief nod. "I'll take over from here. You can go on break." The guard saluted and left.
Miranda ignored Tarosuke's glare and grumbling and turned to the holo-screen. "I wasn't with CRL at the time she was Superior, but I heard that she had nothing but everyone's best interests in mind. From what I understand, she had a better relationship with Raleigh than most of the Superiors we've had. Especially her successor."
Her expression seemed to darken for a moment, then it passed. "I don't know the specifics, but she had been working on a top secret project when she suddenly resigned. Well, not resigned so much as vanish. No one really expected it. We managed to find out about what happened to her later, but a lot of us are still a bit sore about her leaving us like that."
She sighed and rubbed her forehead. "Though really, part of me wishes she could've stayed. Otherwise--nevermind."
She turned to look at Gantz. "So. Been a while."
Miranda, at least, had been the most civil to Gantz during the Subspace Incident, though they hadn't encountered each other often.
Anything that Gantz would've said to her was interrupted by Tarosuke's anger. Miranda rolled her eyes. "If it makes you feel better, Taro-I-forget-what-your-name-is-at-the-moment, we're currently working on making your old body functional again so we can jam your soul back into it, so we can stop your whining. And I'd like to point out that we didn't have the time to do it when we found you earlier, so please stop being angry or otherwise I'll have to get Jenkin's wife."
A gong seemed to ring in the distance. All those present felt best not to mention the terrifying woman in question, lest they summon her inadvertently.

"................... Right."
The three continued walking down the hallway, Gantz eyeing the holo-screen portraying Ingrid a little more before continuing on... Tarosuke mumbled under his breath as they did, the hallways continuing to wind. Within a few more steps, the three passed by a section of the hallway where HUGE windows were present, showing a view of Dimensional Island from a bird's eye view... Strange how small it looked when compared to the ocean of Void it hung over....
Looking down at it, the young man couldn't help but stop to admire the view as rain continued to pelt the ship and fall down to the island below... "Miranda.... Right?" He turned to look at the woman. "You know.... It's always made me curious.... But..."
He sighed.
.....................
"What IS Dimensional Island? What is it REALLY?"
That caught quite a few stares as soldiers looked at him oddly...
However, nervousness was abounding, and Gantz could see it. "I've been living down there for the longest time... But the more I see of it... The more I learn... I can't help but think that it's something far more important then just an island floating in a dimensional nexus." He continued on coldly. "I had... heard that that Thaddeus monster can't show himself here, not before he breaks down a barrier protecting this island from his influence...."
...........................
"Why? What is so powerful that it can protect the people from Thaddeus?"
Tarosuke looked to the kid as if he was crazy, he opened his beak as if to answer.... However he closed it up again when he realized he had no response to give.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Dimensional Island.... It was a Doomed Session of Sburb... One that was so far removed from all of the other games, that it metaphorically, hell almost literally didn't exist...
The truth hit Alex, the Thief of Void, hard as he seperated from a computer in the Regnum Dei's control room, some idiot had deigned to leave his account signed in, and left the computer unmanned. Looking at the screen, Alex let out a breath....
What kind of messed up session did this island come from? What kind of session could lead to the creation of an island like the one far below him?
.............................................
Sighing, Alex seperated from the computer... Vanishing completely. His presence had been so utterly masked that the security cameras wouldn't have seen him using the computers. The Void was pretty complete like that, completely masking his presence even from the most omnipotent source...
Still, it was time....
This was a distraction... But now it was time for the real reason he had come here.
Deciding to be safe, he stole some more void from a nearby chair in the corner and used it on himself, if anything had been capable of sensing him before, they would've lost his scent. At the same time, Alex closed his eyes....
There was a small spit of void appearing somewhere in the ship, it would take time for it to form.... But he would be there.
And with that, his lack of presence vanished from the control room and almost from the ship completely... He was still there...
And he still had a job to do...
.........................................................
For her sake.

Miranda stopped to join him in observing the view. Compared to the sea of void the island floated over, it seemed rather small, even from this height.
Dimensional Island had always been nothing but an obscure curiosity to those in Crystal Room Limited. They had known it existed, yes, but only from the accounts of outsiders that had been there--no CRL agent had actually set foot in this dimension until now.
And to be honest, Miranda didn't like the island one bit.
"Well," Miranda started, "if I remember correctly, the dimension that the island is in is nothing special. It's just a pocket dimension between other universes. There's a whole bunch just like this one. The island itself, though, well, I'm not sure. From what I've heard, there are a lot of theories about what the deal is with it. Some say it attracts chaos, others say that it's actually alive and draws such things to it, that sort of thing. But there is one thing we've figured out--
"It's a safe haven for the lost. Somewhat like that Traverse Town place, in a way. It would explain why people keep showing up here."
She shook her head. "But most of that is all guesswork anyway, so you don't have to believe it."
She paused to considered his other question. "Well, I asked Raleigh the same thing earlier. All he said was 'That's for me to know and none of your business. Rude, but what can you do. Though he's been acting weird ever since we got here...'" She shrugged. "Nevermind. Maybe he'll tell you himself. Come on, the medical bay is this way. Your friends should be there too."
Meanwhile, in the surveillance room.
Betty sipped her coffee as she observed the monitors with her All-Seeing Hitech Goggles. So far, no intruders--
Hold the phone, the detection button was blinking. She pressed it, causing one monitor change scenes.
An outline of a person--JUST an outline, mind you--was seeing going down a corridor.
She tapped a few more buttons. The words [UNKNOWN APPLICATION DETECTED] flashed.
"Sarah, come over here."
Sarah walked over and peered at the monitor. "...the frick?"

Gantz nodded to Miranda, and turned from the view below him. "Good..." He smiled. "The other's must be really worried by now, let's go see em."
And with that, the three walked down the passageway, Miranda leading the way.
----------------------------------------------------------
Alex had the oddest sensation that he was being watched...
And frankly he was unsure just HOW that was possible. His presence was voided out. By anyone's eyesight, he would not even be there. So why would he feel like someone was watching him? He wasn't sure... All he knew was that he was...
It was an odd sensation, being the ninja of the DC session of Sburb and find yourself being ninja'd yourself........
....................................
Nah... calm down Alex... You're just being paranoid... Keep walking.
--------------------------------------------------------
"GANTZ!!!!!"
The second Gantz walked into the Medical lobby he was quickly glomped by none other then Rosaline. He couldn't help but chuckle as he held her close. He probably looked a mess having been beaten up a bit, but it didn't matter, she was here... And she was safe. "Gantz! Thank the scions you're okay..."
"Course I'm okay..." He smiled as he kissed her on the cheek. "Aren't I always?"
As the two continued their greeting, we examine the scene around them. It looked like the room they were in was something remniscient of a Earth Prime Hospital lobby, with White Mages and nurses going about their normal duties and a receptionist sitting behind a desk.
When Gantz walked in, he was happy to see... Well... EVERYONE there; Otto, Wally, Misty, Rin-Rin, Lea, Climber, Gene, Lilia and Nina. And along with them, there was Jaron, A.J. Max, his pokemon and dear sweet timid little Lucas. They had ALL been waiting for him it seemed.
...... "FUCK." And everyone had just got a load of Tarosuke.
"What the hell?" Otto said with a chuckle. "Tarosuke? Is that -PFFFFF- You?!"
"HEY... DON'T START WITH ME PRETTY BOY..."
"PFFF HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! OH DEAR SWEET YIN MATE!! I sure as hell needed that after the shitty last few days I had! HAHAHAHAHA!!!" Wally pretty much just kept right on laughing.
As for Lea, she looked at Tarosuke with an odd fascination, before going all starry eyed. "So YOU'RE that Tarosuke chap I had heard so much about! Well aren't you just a little cutie pie??" She rushed up to the prinny and began pinching his cheeks. "So adorable~!!"
Tarosuke meanwhile took it, all the while wondering where he could get his hands-err-flippers on a scalpel so he could commit suicide. "Would someone PLEASE just kill me now?"
As all of this happened, Gene walked up to Gantz and Rose, Lilia in tow. "Bro... Thank god your okay. What the hell happened down there?" He looked to Gantz with a serious expression. "Barely a few minutes after we got warped out, there was this energy field!"
There was a moment to regain his wits. "W-well... Not long after that freak Olivia showed up Giygas reared his ugly head... Everything went to hell in a hand basket after that. Kavma took care of Ophelia and got Red back, but I-"
"Got to fight GIYGAS." Lilia grinned approvingly. "Gantz, I'd like to take this oppurtunity to take back some of the things I've said about you. Anyone that can go toe to toe with Giygas, BEAT HIM, and then come out ALIVE is alright in my book."

Prior to Gantz and Tarosuke entering the room, the others had managed to kill time with small talk after a failed attempt on A.J.'s part to grill the staff for information (involving a large tuna and the naga accountant). Jaron, in the meantime, hadn't stopped talking to Max since they had reunited with each other, asking him for details about his life he hadn't remembered yet.
Just seeing the boy had been jarring for him, with memories rushing back at him. He definitely remembered the first time they met (wow, that had been embarrassing on his part), along with all the chaos that had resulted.
"I don't think I've seen him that happy in a long while," A.J. observed, leaning against the wall as he watched them. "Guess he needed something to be happy for after today."
Lucas nodded. "Yeah, you're right. But--"
"Kaitlin. Yeah, I know."
The very first thing that Max had demanded of the staff was to know where Kaitlin was. They hadn't even been aware she was missing, but one word from Raleigh and they started on attempting to locate her. No luck so far, naturally. Jaron and A.J. had been tempted to break out of the ship to look for her themselves, but as Max and Lucas pointed out, doing so would be pointless, and there were the others to consider too.
It was at that moment when Gantz, Tarosuke and Miranda had arrived. Jaron stood up immediately when they came in and looked as if he was about to run to them, but then everyone noticed Tarosuke.
"...did they seriously turn him into a Pokemon?" Max asked James, baffled.
"Pirate penguins. It's official: Reality has jumped the shark," A.J. deadpanned.
"Why did they..." Lucas started. "...nevermind. I don't want to know."
Jaron looked at Miranda and opened his mouth.
"Don't ask."
He closed it. "...I'm going to talk to Gantz."
"You do that."
Sarah pressed a button. "Captain Carmichael, can you come up here for a sec?"
"I'm kind of busy at the moment. Can you explain why I'm needed?"
"We THINK we may have an intruder."
"And you didn't sound the alarm because...?"
"Well, the intruder's invisible and...oh, just come up here, it'll be easier if you see it yourself."
Evan grumbled.
"Hey, leave my girlfriend out of this."
"Gantz?"
Jaron had walked up to Gantz and Rosaline as Tarosuke ranted at Miranda, cursing Crystal Room Limited and insulting the ancestry of their employees and condemning whatever descendants they had to a lifetime of asshattery and infidelity.
Gantz barely started to reply before Jaron grabbed him in a hug.
"I'm so happy you're alive," he whispered. "I was so worried..."
He let go of him and backed up a bit. "Sorry, that was a bit weird," he admitted. "But we were listening to Raleigh and Thadeus talking, and..."
"If it will get you to stop your whining, Tarosake, we have your body in the next room, so if you could stop complaining we're willing to do the soul transfer in a minute."
"That reminds me!" A man in hospital garb came in with a gurney, holding up Tarosuke's cleaned up corpse and haphazardly waving it about. "Someone order a freshly baked cadaver?"
Reactions varied.
"AAAAAAAAGH!" Lucas screamed, narrowly avoiding getting hit by the body.
"JESUS CHRIST, GET THAT THING AWAY FROM ME!" A.J. yelled, backing away from the corpse.
Max and his Pokemon scrambled back, all of them horrified. They didn't bother screaming, their expressions were enough.
"Wha--OH GOOD GRIEF WHY DO YOU EVEN HAVE THAT?!" Jaron shrieked, almost grabbing Gene and hiding behind him in panic.
Miranda facepalmed. "For God's sake, Steven, put that thing down before you hit someone with it."
"Yes, mom." Steven promptly dropped the corpse onto the gurney without absolutely no tact whatsoever.
"Put it down GENTLY, you nitwit!"

Gantz took getting hugged pretty well all things considered. Yep this was just like Jaron. Innocent and almost child-like... "I can imagine you would be worried... Things almost got a bit messy in there, but hey, we came out on top-" That was when Jaron mentioned hearing Raleigh talking with Thaddeus.... ".... What?" Now that had him curious.... What kind of conversation would the master of Crystal Room have with a being of pure writhing hatred?
Of course before he could ask, some inconsiderate doctor walked in carrying- OH DEAR GOD... Yep, Wally started screaming his fool head off and hid behind Otto whom was equally disgusted. Gantz? "..... I feel like I shouldn't be surprised and yet I am..."
"That is... Kind of Gruesome..." Rosaline muttered in agreement.
"EEEEUUUGGGH!!!!! WHAT THE FUCKING HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!" Lilia's response was just as blunt as ever. Gene opted not to speak as Lilia made his thoughts just as plainly.
"HEYHEYHEY!!! Be careful with that thing!! I ONLY HAVE ONE OF THOSE!!!!" Tarosuke was BEYOND indignant as he waved his flippers back and forth indignantly... This was only made worse when Tarosuke's body was pretty much DROPPED onto the floor. "THAT'S IT!!! I'M GOING TA FUCKING MURDER YOU YA LITTLE-!!!!!!"
----------------------------------------------------
"And thus, this creature, a being of hatred and spite, Came to appear to you on this, most particular night?"
No-one knew who the hell let Shantotto into the Medical ward, but it was pretty clear she was not leaving. She had already found Kavma, and found herself intranced by his gigantic amount of energy.
"Ohohohoho! A most peculiar tale of epic and whoa to be most certain, And yet I feel in your misguided protections, there is a piece of it that you hide behind a curtain. Pray tell I says to ye, what could be so horrible that you can't tell those soldiers? They will only get into more trouble, so why not tell them and prevent more foulness on their shoulders?"

Raleigh had made it perfectly clear to the staff that if anyone were to enter Red's room without his permission they would require vigorous amounts of Pepto-Bismol to recover from what he would do to them.
(The reader is free to take that as much as out of context as they wish.)
However, he decided to let it slide this once, if only because he really wasn't in the mood for more drama at the moment.
The room didn't look as sterile as the rest of the bay, interestingly. It looked homely, almost, like a fancy bedroom. One with medical equipment, but that didn't detract from the atmosphere.
Red laid on the bed, breathing, still alive, but unconscious. Raleigh was doing SOMETHING with his hands where her heart was, but it was hard to tell what it was that he was doing.
"You are more clever and intelligent as they say, my dear," he murmured, not looking up at Shantotto. "Though perhaps it's best if I make something clear. You freely question me about things you're best off unknowing, though it's clear the answer is something you won't be forgoing. But it's not for me to tell; this current conflict? It should be mine to quell."
He stopped for a moment. "...I'm afraid, Shantotto, I'm not proud to say," he admitted. "I thought I was going to lose everything today. I still am, in fact. Though I'm not too afraid to act."
He stood up. "Tell Aaron and Jaron to come here immediately. I expect they'll follow that request obediently. There are words I must share with them, and before you ask, no, you may not be privy to the information on account of the fact that I don't trust you and I have NO idea how it is you can talk like this all the time."
Well, THAT killed the mood.
Lucas, of all people, stopped the Duel of the Fates before it even started by standing between the angry Tarosuke and Steven. "Stop it already! Tarosuke, do you want back in your body or not?! I don't think they'll help you if you keep acting like this!"
"He's matured a lot, hasn't he?" Jaron observed, looking aside at Gantz. "You know, he's missed you too."
Any further conversation was interrupted when Lucas walked up to them, A.J. poking at Tarosuke's body with his Keyblade in morbid fascination while Buizel looked like she was about to Water Gun him in the face. "Hey, guys. Sorry about that."
"No problem," said Jaron, "I think I'd be upset too if someone was handling my body like that." He gave Gantz a quick look. "Hey, Lucas, since--"
Lucas had already stepped forward and hugged Gantz. Jaron rolled his eyes, but he was grinning regardless.
Lucas let go of Gantz and stepped back, sizing him up. "...you're just like I remember. Not as tall, though, but I've grown a few inches," he said proudly.
"So do you guys just have a bunch of bodies stored in here whenever you need one, or is this just a one time only thing?" A.J.'s voice was heard over the din.
"Actually, yeah, we have a cadaver for every patient stored in the back. Even got one for Vlad the Impaler, but Evan's been eyeing it like a piece of meat--"
"Steven, you are a fraud and a liar, now go and tell the tech guys to get the soul transfer ready."
"Jesus Christ, you're not my mother." Steven grudgingly left.
"...do you really have--" Max started.
"No, we do not actually have a bunch of corpses to use on command," Miranda answered.
"...what about Vlad the Impaler?" A.J. asked.
Miranda ignored the question and sat down with a magazine, sighing.
"Wright? You didn't answer the question! Wright? Miranda? MIRANDA!"

Gantz did indeed notice that Lucas had grown a bit since he last saw him, and smiled beside himself. "Hehehe. Indeed you have grown a bit... Man, you've come a long way since the whole 'having a crush on Mandy' thing back during the tournament."
Otto took notice of the surprised reactions all around, but seemed quite clueless. "Uh... Who?"
Giggling nervously meanwhile appeared to be Rosaline's response. "Oh... Oh dear... I don't believe you ever told me that story before."
"Same here!" Lea was soon in on the gossip as Gantz noticed Lucas clearly being surprised.
When Lucas offered his response, Gantz, in a fashion one could almost consider brotherly, pulled the kid in and began to give him a playful noogie, chuckling all the while. "Don't worry kid, it's good to see you too. Hey, you still have that cap of mine I gave you right?" He smiled a bit. "The one I gave you for luck?"
Rosaline giggled. While she hadn't heard the Mandy story, she was more then familiar with that one. During the tournament when things started to get rough, Gantz gave Lucas his Green Super Mario Bros '1-up' Cap, claiming that it was a good luck charm. The cap helped carry the little guy through a lot of the challenges he had to go through. She was willing to guess that Lucas not having it meant he had matured enough to realize he didn't need it.
-----------------------------------------------------------
.................................. After the longest moment, Shantotto let out a little 'hmph!', and turned away.
"Very well, you impregnable oafish God... But remember this well, about that squad."
She looked back to him with a.... Wait... Was that a...
Look of CONCERN!?
"They will get involved no matter what you try, no matter what you do, It is only proper, and SMART, that they are prepared so nothing goes askew... Just think about that, we know their kinds, Truely truely, heroic and rebellious minds."
And with that, she left the room to go and find Gantz and Jaron.

Raleigh went back to tending to Red as Shantotto left.
"Believe me, Shantotto," he murmured, "I'm well aware of that."
But I am no god.
Lucas froze upon hearing HER name. That was a period of his life he had tried his very best to forget.
Max facepalmed. "Oh, yeah, THAT. Heh, I almost forgot about that."
"Who?" A.J. asked.
"Believe me," said Jaron, who had regained enough of his memory to know what they were talking about, "you're probably better off not asking."
"I don't know what you're talking about," Lucas replied to Gantz as calmly as he could, though he was visibly sweating and pink with embarrassment. This earned him a noogie. "Hey, getoff!" he exclaimed, though he was smiling as he escaped Gantz's grip.
Upon being asked for the hat, Lucas began to search his pockets. "Oh, yeah, I almost forgot after all that's happened today!" After a moment of searching, he produced a green hat with a mushroom upon it. It was slightly burnt, but it was clear that it had been taken good care of over the past two years. He held it out to Gantz, saying, "I made sure never to lose it in case I saw you again."
"Wait, didn't--" A.J. began. Jaron slapped his hand over his mouth, muffling him.
"Absolutely nothing, pay him no mind," he said innocently. Even he remembered the one time that a certain drummer had made off with it (though to be fair, the guy hadn't known better.)

Gantz couldn't help but chuckle upon seeing his old cap... My how time had flown by. The young man took the cap a moment to examine it closely. He was willing to guess the burn marks came from that incident so long ago...
The attack of the Subspace Emissary on the Floating Stadium.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"INCOMING-!!" Mandy roared out in the closest tone she could get to panic. She and her two team-mates quickly dove aside...
RRREAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!! Mere seconds before the dragon-esque Ridley slammed downward, narrowly missing them. All around them, robots of an undiscernable origin was chasing people all about the stadiums back areas, snack stand owners jumping ship and running about in a panic. Out in the arena, Gantz had few doubts that Mario, Kirby, Peach and Zelda were fighting their absolute best against the invaders.
However, as much as he wanted ro ruminate how useful they'd probably be, he had his own problems at the moment. Ridley was circling around for another go, his pointy tail whipping back and forth, smoke billowing out of his pointed snout. Mandy meanwhile had Death's scythe ready to slice and dice, while Lucas himself was shivering terrified, but ready himself... Though not before adjusting the green hat on his head to ensure it wouldn't fly off.
Ridley let out another piercing roar as he crashed down on the floor and proceeded to launch his tail at the gang like a Scorpion. Mandy soundly dodged one attack while Lucas barely dodged another. Thanks to some training by No-Limit, Gantz managed to dodge Ridley's attack... Followed quickly by a swipe of the monsters hand.
WHY WAS THIS THING SO INTERESTED IN CAPTURING HIM!?!?
"Gantz look out!!!" Lucas had seen the next attack first, and was quick to push Gantz aside....
The following fireball exploded on the floor in front of Lucas and sent him flying backward, crashing into the far-off wall.... Before he lost consciousness, he saw Gantz's 'Lucky Cap' laying on the ground by his feet, burnt from the attack...
"LUCAS!!!!"
"FOCUS GANTZ! We need to take this thing out first!!!"
Things never really went well after that....
--------------------------------------------------------------
A really hurtful memory to be sure... But still...
Gantz looked to Lucas, the kid that was willing to take a fireball for him, the kid that had grown up so much since the good old days. "....." And he smiled. "Here ya go champ." He placed the cap onto Lucas' head. After adjusting it he chuckled. "Yep, still looks good on ya."
---------------------------------------------------------------
"Y-Your cap?" Lucas looked a bit surprised at this turn of events when Gantz stuffed his cap on the kid's head. "Y-You're giving me your cap?"
The young man smiled. "Course!" He looked around a moment as if looking for eavesdroppers. "Can you keep a secret Lucas?" The boy nodded............ "You see... I didn't think too much of that cap there either... But do you wanna know something? Ever since I've got it, I've always found myself a little bit luckier then ever before."
Lucas continued staring at Gantz, his eyes filled with wonder. "In a sense, that cap is my lucky charm. And I'm giving it to you not because I think you need luck... But because I think you have SOOO much potential in you. But hey, a little luck never hurt anyone right?" Gantz chuckled some more. "... And, if you ask me, I think it looks good on ya."
The PSI user turned away rather embarassed at this. "You... Really think so?"
"You kidding? I KNOW so!"
----------------------------------------------------------------
Rosaline watched the interaction with a small smile, giggling a fair amount. The sight was not too dissimilar to watching an older brother interacting with his younger sibling. So cute... Lea thought so too as she fought back the urge to squeal.
As this happened, Tarosuke walked over to his cadaver and then looked up to Stephen. "Well in anycases, can we get this moving already? I can't wait until I FINALLY have FINGERS. Seriously using flippers is just too weird..."

"Jihl Nabaat."
Jihl looked up at the sound of Raleigh's voice. "Sir. I assume you're hear to give me my sentence?"
"That depends on what you have to say," he said tensely. "Though I find it interesting that you had the foresight to place yourself in one of the cells first."
Jihl brushed her hair out of her face. "Are you saying you weren't planning on placing me here?"
Raleigh ignored the question and gave an aside glance at the guards. "Leave us. I want to talk to her alone."
The guards looked at each other nervously. "Ah, sir--"
"Now." It was spoken with a tone that commanded total obedience, lest severe punishment ensued. Much like the tone that Jihl tended to use.
It struck her as ironic.
The guards didn't ask twice. They immediately left.
"Now then," Raleigh continued, "From what I understand it, earlier today you infiltrated the house of Aaron 'Gantz' Venturi, aided and abetted the assassin named Vanessa, a former student of Particus Academy, and took her to a place clearly noted to be haunted by a very evil and insane spirit, all the while that Zero, who is in possession of the defective D Gear, was at large."
His tone was calm and quiet, yet she could tell he was restraining his rage.
"What possible explanation, if any, would justify those actions, Jihl?"
You could cut the tension with a knife. Finally, Jihl spoke.
"I believe I may have been compromised by Thadeus."
It wasn't really the answer he expected. "Elaborate."
Jihl chuckled. "You've said it yourself that I've changed since becoming one of you. The heartless craven that I used to be is no more, after all. You all helped me change. Helped me be more human. As of now, my actions in regards to the girl would make no sense, along with how I have been acting since we arrived on this rock. Of course, I didn't fully realize it until the mansion, but I've been having doubts about what I've been doing. Surely you must know that I told the agents at the factory to kill her if possible, when our policy is to disarm and neutralize, only to end lives if unavoidable. Ordinarily, I would not say such as thing unless I had been fresh from my death at the hands of Barthandelus. And then there was the kidnapping. My reasoning was that she was too much of a risk in case Zero got to her." She snorted. "Look what happened to that. It was idiotic. She was safer in that mansion. If I had ignored her, she would not have become that thing. As soon as I was sent here, I realized what could be wrong with me and had my own agents place me in this cell."
It took a second for Raleigh to take all this in. "If what you say is true," he said slowly, "then that would imply that Thadeus influenced you before you joined us. Before your death, most likely."
"Meaning that he had this planned quite a while ago, wouldn't you think?" she said bitterly. "Regardless, I am not fit to be Superior, or even a member of Crystal Room Limited. Regardless of what you choose to do to me, Raleigh, I formerly resign from my post. I also suggest that you have me executed; you have no use for someone who's been compromised by that thing."
The idea that Thadeus had influenced Jihl and that it had gone completely unnoticed for this long disturbed Raleigh. And if what she said was true, it was definitely a part of this twisted scenario with Bryan.
How much of this did he plan? He asked himself.
To Jihl, he said, "Executing you would be unnecessary, Jihl. Regardless of your actions, you have been a valuable agent. However, do not expect to get off the hook. I accept your resignation, and you will be staying in this cell until further notice when I've decided what must be done with you."
She nodded. "I see. Very well." As Raleigh stood up to leave, she added, "Please, when you speak with Venturi, please explain to him what I said. I doubt he'll forgive me, but he deserves to know why this happened."
Raleigh nodded. "Very well."
Thadeus had compromised one of their agents before she was even recruited. The thought disturbed Raleigh greatly. The only other time anything like this happened was with the superior before Summer, and she had been compromised WHILE she held the position.
Thadeus was becoming more rational. What else had he set up? What other plans did he have in reserve?
And at the center of it all was one young man.
There were days when Raleigh wondered if it would've been better not to have made the offer to Bryan. The answer had always been 'it would've made things much more worse', considering Thadeus. No matter what the choices were, they were always unbelievably sadistic.
Much like the Subspace Incident. On one hand, take the place of an erased tyrant and make the lives of countless people hell.
On the other, watch as an innocent boy be horrifically and graphically assimilated before his eyes.
One day, Thadeus would end. He would make sure of it.
Mistakes had to be corrected.
For their sake.
"Red?"
The voice was calm. Youthful, even.
"He's coming. He wants to see you."
The light grew brighter.
"Come on. Wake up!"
And then the world returned.
If Red took a moment to look around, she would notice that she was not alone in the room.
A young boy, around twelve, maybe, sat in a chair next to the bed. He was dressed in simple clothing, looked like it was made of cloth, colored white and gray. His hair was black and short, and his eyes were gray.
They were the eyes of someone much, much older.
"Can you hear me?" the boy asked--his voice sounded calm and mature. "Do you remember anything? Please, if you can...speak."
As Jaron watched Gantz and Lucas interact, Max threw an arm around his shoulder. "It's kind of cute, isn't it?"
"Mmhm," was Jaron's only response.
Max looked at him curiously. "Something wrong?"
"No, it's nothing. I'm happy for them, that's all."
Max, having spent two years in Jaron's company, immediately knew what was up. "You feel left out, don't you?"
"What? No!" Jaron denied. "Lucas hasn't seen Gantz in a while, that's all! I just want them to have the chance to catch up with each other."
"Are you jealous?"
"Of what?" Jaron asked, incredulous. "So what if those two are thick as thieves and--"
"Oh, I get it now," said Max, raising an eyebrow. "You're jealous of their relationship."
"Wha--No! I already told you--" He stopped. He hung his head, muttering, "Yes, yes I am."
"Oh, come on, there's no reason for you to be jealous. You've been a great brother figure for Lucas. I've seen how you two are like together; I've never seen anything more heartwarming."
"Except for that," said Jaron, gesturing at Lucas and Gantz (Lucas was now thanking Gantz for the hat, which earned him another noogie). "I mean, they haven't seen each other for two years and it looks like it hasn't even been a day. I don't know, it's just..." he sighed. "Sometimes I think Gantz has been much better at being the big brother than I have."
"That's no true and you know it," Max argued. "You've BOTH been good role models for him and you know it. I wouldn't pick anyone else to be the kid's bro."
"...I guess you...MIGHT be right..."
"I know I'm right. In fact--Erin?"
Jaron was shoved forward before he could protest. "Wha--OOF!"
The result was Jaron, Lucas and Gantz were now lying in a pile on the ground. Jaron raised his head, sheepish. He didn't say anything, but it wasn't really required.
Lucas spoke up instead. "You're a big doofus sometimes."
Neither of them could help it--they both cracked up. Jaron realized it had been a while since he had laughed so hard. It was refreshing.
Meanwhile, in the Batcave medical ward...
"Is this safe?" A.J. asked, looking up at the elaborate doom device that covered one wall.
"You meen ze toaster? Of courze eet ezn't," Steven replied, now dressed up as Albert Einstein, wig and all, and sporting a thick german accent. (or what he believed was one, anyway.) "But zat's not ze focus of zis procedure. STRAP ZE CADAVER TO ZE TABLE!"

..................... Red continued lying there, looking at her apparent savior with a shaky hesitation. His voice was so calming and soothing... It prompted her to speak... But... How could she? She had not spoken in years... Not since her grandmother died so long ago...
Still... She felt like she wanted to, if not just to appease this mysterious force. Something about it just seemed to make her feel like... Everything was alright with the world.
"............................... Wh... Wh.......................... Wh............"
She struggled a moment, trying to find the strength to say what she wanted to say. She had not spoken in such a long time... And as such, her pre-teen voice was soft and light. Almost frail.
".......... Wh...................... Who................. Who.... are..... .......... Who are..... you?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alex was growing nearer and nearer to his target. He wouldn't be surprised if, soon enough, he found it right in the next room. He had to pass by quite a few guards to get this far (A relatively easy task for someone who was voided out), but so far everything had been just that easy. Soon, he could capture the target and move on with his life. He could fix the mistake he had caused.
As he walked, he found the door... There. That was the place. That was where his target was. That's where he needed to go.
He walked up to the door slowly and hesitantly, knowing that whatever was about to happen, shit was going to get real as soon as he opened this door. He took a second to psyche himself up before he reached for the doorknob......
Go.
He opened the door and slipped in to find-
Another hallway?
.............. Weird... He was expecting a room beyond this door... What was even weirder was now his target was even further away then ever...
"Huh?" But... How was that possible? He was just right outside the door! The target was right through the door he just needed to-
Hold on...
Maybe this ship was built in a way similarly to mysterious ruins in Sburb. It sure as hell didn't make sense. But where there was something that didn't make sense, there was something else to unlock the way. He just needed to find it.
So with this new goal in mind, he nodded to himself. Looks like he'd have to be quick about this. He needed to find the metaphorical key and he needed to find it NOW. Before something really bad happened.
And so he flew. He flew down that hallway fast as a hawk, carefully exploring alternate routes and paying attention to his inner radar to keep track of where he was by proxy to where his target was.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Heheheh! Aww.. Did you feel left out Jaron?" Gantz chuckled as he got up from the floor, allowing him, Lucas and Jaron up. The three brothers looked between each other and shared in a laugh.
Rosaline watched as this all happened, smiling all the while, and looking quite touched. It was truely a gift, watching them be so happy together like this. Though it was odd... Had she known Jaron had felt left out, she would've commented on how she felt left out right now... But still... This was the boy's moment, not hers. As the three continued to be all buddy-buddy, she sat down on a nearby bench and watched them. Climber sat next to the girl as this all happened, his own smile apparent. "It's so great watching them... Huh miss Rose?"
"Yes... Indeed it is." She nodded. "It is... Rare to see Gantz this happy you see... He was just starting to get used to life on this island as things were... But now that he has them... His family... He can be even happier then ever." She chuckled. "I am... A little jealous, truth be told... I know I mean SOOOO much to Gantz, heck he's already proven that, but I wish I could've had a similar relationship with my own sister before she passed on..."
The Climber looked to her, his expression saddened. "O-Oh.... I'm sorry... I didn't-"
There was a giggle as Rosaline patted Climber on the back. "It's okay Climber. You didn't know... And besides... I like to think that me and my sister were always at least somewhat close you know?" She smiled as she looked to Gantz. "Maybe... I can earn my place in that sacred bond of trust... That little family... But for now... I'm just happy that HE'S happy."
Another person that watched the scene with a smile was none other then Gene, now wearing clothes provided to him by CRL (Since he and Lilia HAD been in night-wear until recently) which consisted of a dull grey sweatshirt, and black windsuit pants. His 'Positive brother' looked so cheerful now that he was reunited with a mostly recovered Jaron and a somewhat older Lucas. It was just like old times watching them. What was once a sight that brought about great annoyance and even deeply seated feelings of loneliness (back when he believed he was an Anti), now brought about feelings of sympathetic happiness. "Quite the sight isn't it?"
He turned to look at Lilia whom had spoke. She too appeared to be wearing clothes provided by CRL, only she was wearing a green short-sleeved blouse, along with blue jeans. "It's good to see them like that again... When was the last time we saw them like this?"
Gene considered this a moment. "Hmmm.... 2 years I think? It feels like so long ago." He chuckled. "Tell me something Lilia.... Did you used to have friends like that?"
...................... She looked away. ".... No. My father was always more concerned about getting me into stuffy business schools so I could pick up the art of the trade and inherit his business. I never was social much after that. The people in those schools sorta instilled a fear of making friends." She looked back to Gene, smiling a little. "Honest? You guys are the only friends I've ever had." Gene looked a little saddened at this, but before he could speak, Lilia planted a kiss against his lips. A short and simple one, but it spoke wonders. "Hey, but I have no problems. So don't even worry about feeling sorry for me. As long as I have you guys with me, it doesn't matter what we go through."
Gene smiled simply at this and kissed her back as a result, another short and chaste kiss. "I'm... Happy that you think so highly of us."
With Wally, Otto and Rin-Rin, they too watched as this scene went on. Wally himself appeared to be smiling serenely at the scene as Gantz launched a playful joke Jaron's way, only for the young man to laugh it off and riposte with a joke of his own. Otto stood leaning against the wall, arms crossed as he looked amongst the people around him, while Rin-Rin sat against the wall next to him.
The martial artist looked up to her sensei and friend. "What are you thinking about there Otto?"
There was a sigh. "Nothing much.... But as much as I don't want to think it, I have doubts that this peace will last for long. This looks and feels too much like the calm before the storm."
"I agree..." Nina sat next to Rin-Rin. Really if anyone in this entire scene felt out of place it was Nina. No matter where she looked around this entire scene, not ONCE did she see any form of similarities she could see from herself onto the people sitting around, conversing, flirting, just waiting for something to happen... It was...
well....
Refreshing actually...
Unlike in the Knights, this group seemed concerned for one another, and they showed it... They showed it dearly. She felt so out of place. Barely an outsider, a puzzle piece that just wouldn't fit in their lives...
Misty stood next to Otto, her trusty katana in it's sheath on her belt. "You two have a point... I trust CRL about as much as any of us... So let's keep our guard up."
Nina looked to the alien girl in wonder, unsure what to make of her presence in the group.
"Misty..... That is your name isn't it?" Misty looked down to the knight as she looked back out to the others. "What... IS your place amidst this group of heroes sitting around before us?"
Now that question caught Misty's attention. She thought on it long and hard before she finally gave her answer.
"Honestly? My place here is no place." Nina looked up to the alien as she smiled. "My main reason for staying with these yahoos at all is because of one reason and one reason only... Because the one person I cared so deeply about, the one person in the entire universe that I would've given my heart to again and never look back... He would've wanted me here. Looking after these crazy kids... Their... Like family. You know? You want so much ta strangle them from time to time... But in the end, family's all ya got. So you have to protect it from anyone that'll want to hurt it."
..............................................................
The knight was.... Floored by this answer. "I... I see..."
Misty chuckled bitterly. "Well, if I had to be a bit more brutally honest... There are times when I feel this family doesn't really need me. Many of them are more powerful then me, even with my super strength and mind reading powers... But I keep on with them anyway... Maybe it's because... I want something like what they've got... You know?"
..............................................................................
Looking at them now... Nina could see it too...
"Yeah.... I think I do...."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From inside her cell, there was little Vanessa COULD do. Her sword had been confiscated and she had been slapped in magic-proof cuffs to ensure she wouldn't be blowing anything up inside the cell... As much as that sucked though, there was just nothing she could do about it. She had already tried everything to just get the cuffs off and they simply would not be moved.
The Black Cat Samurai was stuck....
And cats HATED getting stuck.
She growled and sat against the glass door of her cell and looked up, trying to figure out something to alleviate the boredom. As she did this, her tail swished back and forth, and her ears were straight up. A classic cat sign for boredom in it's uptmost completion.
If only Solum or the others were here... They'd at least make the waiting a bit more bearable...
Groaning, she leaned back against the glass...
One thing was for sure... She HAD to get out of this place...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Back in the lab, Tarosuke looked to one of the other operators with a look that just SCREAMED worry.
"Please tell me he's kidding..."
The operator's lack of response did NOT inspire confidence
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Gaz, Jaron, you are needed in the room with Raleigh right now, So come now, let us not waste time, he wishes to speak to thou."
All of the conversation cut off at that moment as everyone turned to the appeared Shantotto. The Tarutaru was lacking her signature sneer, which concerned Gantz a lot. He really hoped something hadn't happened.
"So let us not waste anytime dilly-dallying shall we? It is better that we get you both there soon don't you agree?"
There was a sigh as Gantz let go of Lucas and prodded him in Rosaline's direction. "While we go see what's up, why don't you two get acquainted?" Upon saying that, he helped Jaron to his feet, and looked down to his sheathe, minding that he still had Soul Calibur there. "Okay, Sensei Shantotto... Lead the way."

The boy looked relieved upon hearing her speak. "I'm a...I'm a friend, sort of," he said hesitantly. "I was scared that you'd..." He shook his head. "Nevermind. You're safe now. But please, don't overexert yourself."
He gave the door a quick glance. "Your friend should be here soon. He's...well, he's really worried for you. You're lucky to have him as your guardian. I couldn't have picked anyone better for it."
He closed his eyes. "...I'm sorry. For everything. I made too many mistakes over the last few days. It's my fault you're here. You don't have to forgive me, but...well, just know that I didn't want any of this to happen."
The people in the survelliance room had obtained snacks and drinks to munch on as they watched what Rachel dubbed 'Seven 0'Clock Shenanigans With Invisible Intruder Bewb; Or, How To Drive Some Godless Schmuck Up The Wall In Seven Minutes Or Less Using The Ship's Anti-Nitwit Protocols.'
"I give three minutes tops before he breaks down in tears."
"Nah, five. It's ALWAYS five."
"I bet he'll start ranting two minutes BEFORE he starts ranting."
"Does he have time powers?"
"Doubt it. Hey, where's Evan?"
"He declared us wiseasses and went down to deal with whoever it was while you were getting the Pepsi."
"Killjoy."
"Hey, he has a point, I mean for all we know this guy is probably after Zero IS HE GOING IN THE DIRECTION OF THE PRISON BLOCK?!"
Cathy slammed a fist down on a red button.
If, say, Alex were to try to open the door to the prison block, he would instead find himself in a rather large shower room.
Full of women.
All of whom were aiming Midas Shock Pistols at maximum setting at the door.
If you don't know how this is going to go, then may God help you.
Max leaned against the wall, watching as Jaron, Lucas and Gantz had fun with each other. He felt happy for them, of course.
He couldn't say the same for himself, though.
Buizel, having gotten bored with trying to ply candy from the staff at the front desk (after the upteenth time the nurse threatened to set her on fire, not that it would've worked), jumped onto his shoulder and looked at him curiously. “Something up?”
“Huh? No, why?”
“You seem upset by something,” Buizel explained.
Max raised an eyebrow. “What? No, I'm f--” he stopped. “...I forgot that excuse never works.”
“That and you've been my trainer for years. We know when something's wrong. Just ask Erin and James.” They both watched as Erin jumped onto Jaron's head in an attempt to join the fun. “Well, I guess I'm just worried for Kaitlin.”
“Still haven't decided whether to tell her, right?”
Max turned pink. “N-no. Well, yes. I'm afraid that--”
“Max, it's KAITLIN. She's going to be fine. Remember when Dr. Black tried to kidnap her? His robots were flattened.”
“I KNOW that she can take care of herself,” Max argued, “but--”
“Debating on your little crush, huh?”
Max jumped in shock as he turned to see that A.J. had joined him. "Oh, hey! Weren't you with Tarosuke?"
"Well, yeah, but then things got weird..."
"LIVE, DAMN YOU! LIVE!" Steven shrieked, trying to pound Tarosuke's soul into the cadaver's chest.
"...but anyway, that's not important," he continued. “So, Kaitlin?”
“Yeah, I'm just scared for her.”
“That's not all, though, isn't it?”
Max frowned. “What makes you think--”
“I live with Jacob. You two are more alike than you think. Something else is clearly on your mind, so what is it?”
Max fidgeted. “...I, well, it's just--” He sighed. “I'm scared I won't be able to tell her.”
“About your cru--”
“Don't yell it so everyone can hear you!” Max whispered, irate.
“Okay, okay, jeeze. Far be it for me to delve into anyone's love life. And besides, I'll bet you anything she's probably made her way back to Gantz's mansion yelling insults about CRL. You know how she is.”
“Yeah, remember that time she punched you so hard you wound up flying over that building?” asked Buizel.
A.J. facepalmed. “I would've preferred it if you guys could FORGET that...anyway, is that why you're just standing here? You don't feel left out or anything?”
“Nah,” Max replied, watching Lucas trying and failing to do the CSI Miami glasses pull with Gantz's shades. “Those three deserve a moment. They're the ones who've had it worse these days anyway.”
Wilhelm hated today.
Well, mostly CRL (and considering the guard's comments, that was a common problem--assholes), but still. He hated today.
He sighed and leaned against the wall of the cell. At least it was comfortable. The bed was an actual bed, with a mattress and blanket and everything, not some hard slab coming out of the wall. Apparently Crystal Room liked to make sure their inmates were comfortable.
Of course, they made it a point to confiscate all of his weapons, and I do mean ALL of them (the agent listing them all was slightly incredulous at how many grenades he had on his person) and dumping them God knows where else on the ship. He happened to LIKE his weaponry. He used those to make a living, dammit.
Briefly, he wondered what had become of that kid in blue. He had agreed with his plan mostly to screw with CRL on messing with him earlier, but he hadn't seen him since then. Well, no use worrying about it. Whether he saw the kid again or not didn't matter at the moment.
"So, what're you in here for?" he asked his neighbor. He had seen them take Vanessa past his cell already; why they had a catgirl for a prisoner he wasn't sure, but he could already tell that it involved the current mess he was in.
Plus, he was bored and the last time anyone visited his cell was the agent who had given him a surprisingly normal looking meal opposed to prison slop (Two chicken legs, a bag of kettle chips, a mug of cola and a freshly baked cookie--guess CRL didn't mind giving their prisoners decent service either), though he had yet to so much as touch any of it.
Shantotto's entrance interrupted all proceedings. Jaron and Lucas looked at each other.
“Do you think Red...?” Lucas asked.
Jaron nodded. “You okay with staying here? We won't be gone long. Hopefully.”
Lucas nodded, though he looked reluctant. “Just be careful.”
“Hey,” Jaron ruffled his hair playfully, “since when am I NOT careful?”
Max had to slap a hand over A.J.'s mouth to stop him from listing examples. Jaron ignored this completely and turned to Gantz. “Shall we?”

"Yes, we shall." With that said, the two followed after Shantotto as she lead the way past her entry way and down the hall. "So.... Shantotto... You were in the room where they're holding onto Red. How did she look to you?"
The Tarutaru said nothing for a little while before she offered her response.
"See when we get there, you will, Kavma has quite the medicinal skill. I personally see no reason or cause for concern Just be sure that when you see him, you learn."
Gantz could only give her a small nod. "Don't worry, that's exactly what I'm hoping for. Kavma has a lot of questions he needs to answer."
--------------------------------------------------------
"Leave me alone shit-head. I've got nothin' to say to you."
Vanessa's response was cold and too the point. As far as she was concerned, Wilhelm could've been in this cell block for just about anything, and she wasn't about to communicate with criminals.
Looking around outside her cell, she managed to find her katana hanging up on the wall at the end of the hall of cells near the door out. Well at least she knew where it was in the offchance she managed to break out of this cell. Growling, she turned her attention to her magic proof cuffs.
She just needed to get them off... But how?
---------------------------------------------------------
Alex knew he was in trouble when he saw the women. He knew he was in DOUBLE trouble when he saw that it was a bathroom complete with showers that he had stumbled across. He knew he was in TRIPLE trouble when he noticed many of them were wearing nothing but Towels, some of them not even that.
Regardless, at about the same time he could turn a pure tomato red, he had jumped out of the way as the women peppered the doorway with fire from those decidedly dangerous looking weapons.
"DID WE GET THE SUNNOVA BITCH!?!?" He could hear one of the women proclaim.
"Mmmm... Doesn't look like it. I didn't hear a thud. Mr Invisible must've gotten out of the way as soon as we started firing."
"Well how do we know for sure??"
"Okay, okay, calm down, I'll go take a look." Alex looked a bit more panicky at this... However, that's when he remembered the door opened outwards, and he had his back to the door itself. Taking a deep breath, he looked to the inside and found the woman carefully approaching... Her being one of the women that had been in the buff. Alex blushed a bit more and quickly pulled his head back, putting his hand on the door.
Before the women knew what was happening the door SLAMMED closed before the leader could finish her appoach. "WHAT THE HELL?!" She immediately ran to the door and tried opening it... ".... How the hell did he get this door STUCK!?!?!"
Outside the door, Alex had placed an odd warped energy against the door to prevent it from opening. Alex himself was now gone.
With Alex, he continued zooming down the halls, all the while thinking to himself, 'WHO PUTS A SHOWER ROOM ALL THE WAY IN THE LOWER DECKS?!?'
--------------------------------------------------------------------
In the operating room;
"GACK!!! WHAT THE FU- OW!!! CUT IT OUT YA- OW!!!"
"LIVE DAMMIT LIVE!!!!"
"I AM ALIVE NUMBNUTS!!!!!!!!"
If anyone can explain what the hell is going on in this picture, I'll pay you money. Seriously.

Red continued staring at the mysterious boy, unsure of what to make of what he said...... "I........." She continued staring at him. "I... Don't unders-s-stand..."
She really didn't... The boy looked wise... But...Who was he? Why would he say such things? She simply didn't understand...
