Fresh Start: Next Chapter (Enigma/Me)

Beth gently put Kyo on Enigma's back.
"Where to?" she asked the two Equestrians. "And do you have a rope or something in these saddle bags that ca keep Kyobee from falling off?

She patted Sweetie's head.

Enigma thought about that for a bit. "...I think I do...one sec..." He glanced at his saddlebags, but his view was hindered by the troll on his back. "Sweetie, could you look in my bags for me?"

Excited at the thought of being useful, she happily nodded and began to rummage through one of the bags. She went so deep, half of her body was inside it, requiring her to light up her horn to see what she was doing. "Let's see...vinyl record...bass guitar...bottle of medicine...ah!" She reemerged, holding a long coil of braided hemp in her teeth. "Rope!" She went to Beth, handing it over to her.

A flash of concern crossed the pegasus's face. He turned to look at the human over his shoulder. "Beth? Do you think we should take him somewhere safe? Like a house, or something?"

Beth accepted the rope and tied Kyobee down loose enough so Enigma would be comfortable.

"That would be a good idea. I have a room at the hotel, if you think that's a good place," she replied. "Are the ropes good for you?"

The pegasus nodded, smiling kindly at her. "It works. Not too tight, yet taught enough to keep him from falling." He flexed his wings, finding that they were unhindered by the troll on his back. "Seems like I can still fly like this..." He chuckled, though he wasn't entirely sure why he did. The stallion put a hoof to his chin, wondering if he'd taken his medicine today.

Sweetie beamed, glad she'd given a good idea. "That's great!" She headed towards the doorway before stopping and rushing back to Beth. "Where's the hotel?"

"Good to hear," Beth replied to Enigma before turning to Sweetie. "It's a few blocks from here."
