FRIGHT ISLAND (October Event)

HAPPY OCTOBER EVERYONE!

..... Well, okay it's not October YET, however you guys do understand that it's on the horizon and very rapidly approaching. Now, for those of you who are just tuning into DC and trying to learn the current going ons, here's the lowdown.

All throughout the month of October, we DC'ers will start a new tradition of celebrating the month of October, the only way we know how! By holding a special event!

Here is how it works, I shall have Shantotto explain it for me. Shantotto?

"HOHOHOHOHO! With absolute pleasure little boy!
Now gather around all, let this yarn spin and deploy...."

"In the month of October all seemed pleasant
Kids were out and about, collecting candy! What peasants!

However living far away from the rabble and noise,
a lonely witch lived, cooking potions and playing with toys.

Her eyes noted with envy, all of the children and adults at play,
While she, alone, was forced to stew in pity how somberly it lay.

She wanted so much to go and join in,
but how could she, in all of her witchly skin?

So an idea came to her, one so fun and droll,
To make up a potion that could greatly console.
It would be a potion in the spirit, she would giggle so brightly
If only one could've stopped her, so nice and rightly.

When the spell was done, she looked at it with glee,
oh how everyone would love it, she said, surely this is the key!

But alas, as is the case, one more ingredient was needed,
And instead of the right one... An accident was heeded...

The spell went out of control, a deep murky mist created!
One that spread all over, nothing on the island left unsated!

The spell changed things, to put it up as fact,
It changed into a horror show, what once was so abstract.
The island had changed, it's people along with it!
Leaving the witch, the sole survivor, alone to commit.

She had to reverse the spell! She simply had to she said,
while the island went to hell, turned right on it's head!

And now October is about more then just Halloween and tricks
TRUE FRIGHTS LIVE ON THE STREETS....

THIS IS FRIGHT ISLAND, THERE IS NO QUICK FIX!!!!!

Yes.... Thank you Shantotto... (CLEARS THROAT) So yes, as she said, for the month of October, Dimensional Island has been, even if accidentally, transformed into a gigantic horror show! New threads will focus on tricks and frights and all things Halloween themed.

If you want to continue with old threads, that is fine, just remember this event is also open as well for new threads.

Now, onto the next thing. In this thread, you will officially sign up for the event, here you will note changes done to your characters and locations as a result of the Witch Princess' spell. Remember, be creative! This is all for fun!

Now here's my changes;

Shantae (Of the Shantae franchise) has been locked into her Spider form, which resembles a spider-centaur... And slowly but surely she is starting to take on more spider like traits as well...

Vanessa (My Class of Heroes OC) is now more Black Cat like then taby like. She has the ability to curse people she crosses with bad-luck. The downside? She's even more catlike then ever before, often slipping into an animal mindset as opposed to a human one.

Flame Princess (Character from the Adventure Time Series) becomes a literal living monster blaze that knows only to eat and incinerate. Anyone that crosses her path better be prepared for things to get really really hot.

Raven (OC from my Final Fantasy Tactics A2 series) has always been an escaped soul straight from the bowels of hell, and Fright Island will capitalize on this, turning Raven into a zombie that JUST WON'T DIE. Bullets to the head seem to heal instantly, and holy spells seem to have no effect on him at all. BEWARE, for a zombie, this guy is uber intelligent.

Alex the Thief of Void (My human Homestucksona) becomes what he's always feared; a copy of the infamous Exdeath. With Nihilistic thoughts abounding and an understanding coursing through him, he plots to turn the now miserable Fright Island into a glob of void, destroying it before he destroys himself...

Panty Anarchy (One of the main characters of Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt) becomes a zombie once more, a nod to her being turned into one at the end of the zombie apocalypse episode of her anime. Aside from that she DOESN'T REALLY change that much. XP

Solum (The second of my Class of Heroes OCs) becomes a Poltergeist, a ghost capable of moving things around with his mind. He doesn't really change much in personality, however no-one can tell the diference since he's creepy as hell and he has to talk through very scary hauntings.

Prishe (A notable character in Final Fantasy XI) is transformed into a zombie. However due to the cursed Promathia gem on her chest, she retains her personality and the will of Promathia, always threatening to take over her at any point... Now she must keep herself energized if she wants to find the source of the spell and reverse it before Promathia takes her over.

Shantotto (A notable character in Final Fantasy XI) suffers no direct change.... However what happens instead is a hundred times worse. Due to the spell casted on the island, a portal is opened before Shantotto's eyes and out of the portal walks two familiar faces; Domina and Belle Shantotto, two halves of a powerful Alternate Universe version of Shantotto, who has taken over her planet and rules it with an iron fist. Now with the two great threats on the island, Shantotto must do her best to keep the two preoccupied while the Witch Princess works to reverse the spell....

Characters turn into monsters during the event?

I call people in costumes can be returned into what their wearing mentally for the night!

That, or my own things.

Dante Arti- He becomes the very thing he feared. That is, a non-heroic sociopath. With intentionally poisonous pasta.

Lobozotoh "Lobo"- Expect this guy to get sleepier faster. Also expect him to be in a fouler mood due to his sister's antics.

Lobazotah "Loba"- Oh boy it's her favourite holiday. Mainly because she can hang dead bodies from the bar and have everybody assume that they're just creepy decorations.

As far as characters go, I know Vampire/Zombie Wario is kind of a requirement. Though I don't know what form he's getting- unless he can just flop between them, the crafty jerk.

Another change- because of the powerful mist, I'm seeing Crona and Ragnarok going back to their most powerful form- i.e. Ragnarok being huge and terrifying again due to the change in environment alone.

Also- the King reaper can no longer appear human. Instead... terrifying huge grim reaper, probably able to hide in shadows.

Oh yes- and now for Howling Dream: She'll be in her more terrifying empowered form throughout the Fright Island event- which makes her pretty violent, on top of her pre-recognized technical immortality.

I feel like SOMETHING ought to happen to Waxevius, but nothing comes to mind.

Boom Boom: Anyone remember the Turtlevania episode from the Super Mario Bros Super Show? And how Count Koopula turned some of his troops into WereTurtles? Why don't we make big, bad Boom-Boom a Werekoopa, too?

Ed: The energies from the black mist entering Ed, it seems to do nothing- except stir up memories of his previous halloween, complete with his terrifying attitude towards so-called "monsters-" Only difference? This time they're really monsters, and he's gone stone dead bonkers during this time, with few safe.

Victor: He can speak in this mist. That gets rid of his scary factor, but it makes him understandable.

*2016 UPDATES INBOUND! LET'S DO THIS LIKE BRUTUS!*

Evan: Okay, this might get a little confusing, so bear with me. Evan shares a connection with ANOTHER Evan Anders from the universe that the Paramount Key originated from. In this universe, Earth has been taken over by vlyks, werewolf-like aliens that experimented on Evan, causing him to occasionally act like one of them. Like the years prior, the Evan on the island will also inherit their behavior... BUT, now fueled by his hope powers, the fog will LITERALLY TURN HIM INTO A VLYK. When that happens, only three things will be on his mind: EAT, KILL, SPREAD.

Carter: The dormant magic in him will strengthen, allowing him some degree of control over it, as well as the ability to talk to anyone (as opposed to just Evan). At the same time, considering he's a dog, animal instinct will likely kick in.

Jen: As the marksman of the group, she'll definitely be one bad mutha in this nightmare world, perhaps even gaining slightly heightened strength, agility and senses. No other serious effects on her are planned.

Darien: Permanently trapped in werewolf form, turning completely bestial with no memory of who he or any of his friends are.

Patrick, Van and Ray: A good-natured Ghostbuster wannabe, a noble and powerful wizard, and a necromancer with anger issues, all constantly fighting for control a la Jekyll and Hyde. On top of that, thanks to blood poisoning from a transformed Evan, the tri-personalitied mage will be overcome with madness and paranoia, leading him to attack anything he perceives as a threat. Which is everything.

Toby: His demonic half will take control and force him into his full Præt'nos form, hell-bent on plunging the island into eternal darkness.

Rio: The mass amounts of magic that he produces will fully possess him, to the point where his mere presence alters reality.

Jack: His personality remains largely unchanged (I mean, he's already a psycho), but he will be given a power boost that grants him access to unique abilities he ordinarily wouldn't be able to absorb, i.e. those specifically granted to his host via divine appointment, biology, etc. Lots of potential hosts out there...

Paul: Dragon. He's a dragon now. 'nough said. XD

Evelyn: The blood that she ingested during her encounter with Clockwork will take over her, granting her all of Clockwork's powers... as well as his will. And he knows it.

Cortem: He'll permanently enter his Kingdom Come form, transforming him into an angel of death and decay with seemingly no ill effects on his own health.

Lagola: I don't really have any ideas for her yet. I'm open for suggestions.

Her morals are warped and tends to have a blindfold over her eyes that are now blind. Hard to keep under a watchful eye with her hands on forgotten shadow magic.

Chrys/Dracorum- Kamen Rider Dracorum- Shade Dracorum- Corrupt style- Remember this: Do not under any circumstance get near her! A Corrupted Shade Dracorum is highly volatile and knows how to manipulate a being based on the goals of the being. .... Also note she maybe controlled by Siren!Beth in the chaos.

Orion- Random Aywas OC- Anthro Chimera

Beth Snider(Witch of Blood)-DCStuck-Siren- Derived of a Dersite Witch- More dangerous to his/her team, due to an evolution with their voice and their abilities that they had gained as a Witch. What abilities they has as Witches is deadlier by tenfold and also can somewhat enchant another player or being in game into doing their bidding. The Siren is usually gaged and rarely has their mouth sewn shut as so to prevent this. Has picked up how to writing in the air or is rather good at charades. If needed they will remove the device preventing them from speaking rather forcefully. .... except for this she isn't gagged or stitched shut.

Joan Egbert- Genderbent AU of John Egbert- Wind Dragon with a pension for shiny things

Hannah Dublin- Evening Hallows OC- Originally a Dullahan by birth and had only recently lost her head (yes she was born with it), probably more violent and has a good touch of fire magic and metallurgy added to her own scary form.
Think Sleepy Hollow's Headless Horseman(yes I mean the one on TV/Fox).

Yang Xiao Long- RWBY(She loans the Y to her team name)- Even if she is new the Island, Yang is not immune to the mist that coats the island. Her transformation not only tests her will power but also her humanity. To be blunt she is becoming what she hunted. Though this strand of Grimm is something she has not seen before- a human sized creature that looks like a tiger but walks and talks like a man, known as the Rakasha. A shapeshifter by legend and cunningly fast. As a Rakasha Grimm amd human Hybrid, Yang is conflicted and not in control of her shifting ability.

I'm late to add this alter to one of my main characters.
Beth is getting a boost- On top of her status as siren, she is taking on a few traits of a different type of mage- A Sanguinmancer or Blood Mage. Fouler temper and completely off her rocker after being bit by one infected Evan Anders. She's not clinging to her standard GT abilities as one arm has become encased in Tainted Sanguite (Crystalized Dragon's Blood) and it is serving as a booster of magic energy. She can cause a bit of damage and sees one Ray Rooke as an ally.

Eve Hallows- Rise of the Guardians OC- She is literally a representation of Halloween. Despite being a debunked and forgotten guardian she still knows how to stir up trouble. And now with the energies of the Black Mist pulsing through the island she's become more like Pitch. Form no longer looks healthy with gnarled hands, now it seems she has no flesh and is a Reaper that will take advantage of fears.

The only characters I can think of would be Squigly (who'd probably become more zombie-like, with Leviathan unable to protect her from this spell) and Aya/Momiji (who'd actually look like Tengu). Suika and Yugi could possibly become more monstrous as Oni but I don't know what else.

Wait, Ezio could get aquiline features. Bruno Buccellati could become like a Dullahan with the spell messing up his Stand's power, keeping his head off of his shoulders (though non-fatally)

Pieter: Much like Alex, he changes; he becomes not unlike Ryze or Zilean from League of Legends; his magic overtakes him, making him an incredibly powerful mage. Thankfully, most of his mind is still intact... for now at least.

(I know I'm late overall and early for round 2, but if Evan's not gonna wait for October, neither am I! XD)

Swift: She'll be stuck in her full yokai form, giving into her inherent feral rage.

Andromeda: The dormant power of Kalivar's Beacon will awaken within her, turning her into a being of light bent on destroying any creature of darkness; given that pretty much everyone has become a being of darkness, that's not really a good thing for anyone she comes across.

Aether: Born from a dying star, she becomes like a malevolent, living star, a fiery white haze whose only concern is manipulating her environment to her leisure and following Andy's regime of cleansing the island.

Cat: On top of turning slightly zombie-ish (something that happens to everyone from the World on Ghost Night) she will become possessed by her Pandemonium Warrior form, pretty much turning into a walking atom bomb.

Mickey: Given that he's already a vampire, he'll remain... largely unchanged. XD Now he can just go berserk with little consequence. He'll probably be more prone to entering his Shadow Beast and Vampire Lord forms.
