"Indeed we are. I also have a rather poor history of working with others but I'm willing to put that aside for the time being. My faithful followers are not here as far as I can tell, so I am alone."
Dio folded his arms, slouching a bit, flashing an equally-evil grin. "Which is a shame. I lost many good followers a while back. That Jack fellow was such a wonderful killer."

Dracula leaned back in the throne, somewhat satisfied. At least Brando remained civil, he liked that.
"You and I are more similar than I assumed," he pointed out. "I too lack my former servants--" Though it's only a matter of time. "--my closest confidant Death among them." He sighed. "I must admit, I miss his company. Such a devoted servant to my cause, regardless of those outcomes...ah, but I'm rambling."
He shifted a bit in the throne to get more comfortable, keeping his gaze on Brando. "Should we join forces for the time being, you can rest assured that I plan on rewarding you handsomely for your services. It's only proper, after all."

"Ahh... Death. Is that so? From how you describe him, he sounds as devoted to you as Enrico was to me. It was thanks to him that I live after all. And I suppose that's fair. Many thanks."
He grinned a bit, leaning against a column in the room. "So where shall we start?"

"Ah, I'm glad you asked, Mr. Brando."
Dracula left his seat, walking as he made gestures during his talking. "On my way to this place, I saw a city--about an hour's walk, perhaps. It's likely full of...humans..." His lip curled at the thought. "...but they could be of some use. Information, most likely. Or perhaps a light snack." He grinned, baring his teeth. "And who knows? One or two may want to swear their allegiance to us. As much as I despise them, they have proven useful to me in the past, and--"
He paused. He directed his gaze to the floor. "Do you hear that? We have guests."
He listened. "Humans. A small number. Four, five--they could be combat ready, or not."
He looked to Brando. "It would be rude of us not to greet them, don't you think so, Mr. Brando?"

"Hmhmhm..."
Dio grinned a wicked grin, his Stand springing to life behind him. Seems that the excitement of feeding again gave him the energy to summon The World; at least for a moment. "Let us go. It would be very rude of us to not give them a proper greeting."

What a curious creature, he noted. Mental note: Inquire as to the abilities of my new associate.
Dracula allowed himself the slightest of grins. "You speak my language, Mr. Brando."
"Quick, inside!"
Those that had managed to avoid the insanity of Void City rushed through the castle entrance, carrying their children and other loved ones--those not somehow affected by the mist, anyway.
With the city--and indeed, most of the island--in total turmoil, few places were safe, and while the old castle was NOT the place most would pick, there was little choice in the matter.
As the last of the refugees made their way into the building, two of the police officers that had escorted them barred the door. "That's all of them," one observed. "Now what?"
"We need to make sure this place is vacant. Secure this area, send men into the other areas to see if it's safe, then proceed with the civilians--the housing quarters are our best bet."
"Whose idea was it to run to the HAUNTED CASTLE in the first place?!" one refugee complained.
In the darkness, Dracula grinned. "Their idiocy and overconfidence shall be their downfall. Remember, Mr. Brando...we should keep at least some of them alive for information. But other than that...well, why not drink your fill?"

"I don't see why not. T'would be rude to not give these good folks a traditional 'welcome', no?"
Dio chuckled, The World vanishing again. The British vampire began making his way through the halls, keeping to the shadows of the castle.
When he got closer to the entry hall, Dio waited for Dracula, though he did begin scoping out his first target. Younger gentlemen who looked hale were ideal; they tended to have the highest-quality blood.
