It felt like it had been so long since she had time alone with her lover. Now that she finally had it, Swift was going to embrace it. Her arm was tightly wrapped around Evan's as they entered the movie theater, and she waited patiently as he purchased their tickets to see Gravity. Once they were in line for the concession stand, Swift finally spoke up.
"It feels so good to get out like this. The apartment was starting to feel cramped. ...Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time we actually went on a date like this. It was always so hard to do back home." She sighed sweetly and nuzzled Evan's shoulder. "I like this... I feel the most like me when I'm with you."

Evan laughed softly at Swift's affections, brushing his thumb behind her ear. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. And believe me, I'm grateful for some 'us' time too. After everything that's happened, we don't really get to hang out like this anymore, just you and me and no one else. It's nice..."
He stepped up to the counter and ordered a medium popcorn, a Dr. Pepper and Sno-Caps. "Anything you want, Swift-chan?" He snickered when he caught himself using a Japanese suffix; Swift's ways were getting the better of him.

"Sour Punch Straws!" Swift loudly replied. She quickly hushed back up and awkwardly added, "...a-and a water."
As they received their snacks and proceeded to their theater, Swift decided to ask, "So what exactly is this movie about? I've seen a few TV promos and heard plenty of good things about it, but I'm still not completely down on the premise."

"Honestly, I don't think there's a whole lot to know," Evan explained as they filed into their designated theater. "It's just Sandra Bullock and George Clooney trying to survive in space. But from what I've heard, the visuals and atmosphere only make it that much more gripping."
He found decent seats about halfway up, settling down in a seat in the very center of the room. "The journey home IS one of the greatest stories out there. Why do you think Nat likes Apollo 13 so much?" The moment he asked that, Evan realized something. "Heh... Come to think of it, there might just be some similarities between that movie and this one."

"That wouldn't surprise me," Swift giggled as she sat down, placing her water bottle and some napkins in her cup holder and gently nudging Evan's arm. "I'm sure I'll like it, whatever the case."
As the rest of the moviegoers filed into the theater, Swift contently watched the trailers. Eventually, they showed a behind-the-scenes look at the Bates Motel TV show, and the guy playing Norman Bates quickly caught her attention. "Huh... This kid looks... familiar..."

Evan was so busy questioning the logic of making a TV series based off of Psycho that he just barely heard Swift's comment. "Huh? Who, Freddie Highmore? That's Charlie from the Chocolate Factory remake."

"...Really??" Swift scrutinized the boy on screen, finally drawing the connection. "Holy stuff, it is! I was wondering where he'd disappeared to!"
She leaned back in her seat, frowned at the screen and gnawed on a punch straw before going off on a brief tangent. "That remake is seriously underrated. I mean, it's not exactly on par with the original, but it gets way more flak than it deserves."

"Eh." Evan shrugged. Personally, he wasn't a huge fan of either version. Blame his all-too-early viewing of the infamous tunnel scene.
After taking a bite of popcorn, he looked around the theater to see just how many others were in there with them.
