First a visit to Blizarex down in the Geodesic Caverns turned up an interesting new arrival in the form of the Queen among Fire Elementals; a powerful being capable of burning down miles of forests within a few minutes, and yet had all of the personality of a little child. A mature one, but a child none-the-less. Then, taking the elemental with her, Aqua discovered another mysterious new visitor in the town of Lofty Ridge just outside the mining tunnels of the bottomless Canyons. One whom was a keyblade wielder like her. He was a student by every stretch of the imagination, but yet he knew abilities Aqua hadn't even dreamed existed. They worked under the agreement to teach each other as the threesome made their way to Void City, where Aqua knew a place to get proper lodgings for her and her new compatriots.
However, to get that far, they would need to cut through the Indutstrial Districts, perhaps one of the shadiest portions of town by far. It was often used as a hide-out for various villains who thought to either purse-snatch or plot against Dimensional Island in itself. Depended on the person really. Aqua detested the shortcut, but it was about the quickest route to town...
Her majesty of the Fire Kingdom wasn't a big fan either.
"Ugh..." Flamey groaned as she side-stepped around a rather brownish looking puddle. "What kind of water is THAT?"
"To be honest, your highness, if you see spots like that I'd avoid it." Aqua answered, looking around carefully.
"Why?" The Flame Queen's cheeks puffed out, making her look quite cute as her eyes narrowed in confusion.
"Chances are, that's not water."

"................... I'M SORRY I ASKED."
No-one had even been aware that a Fire Elementals face could GET that green.

Eligius winced at the sight. "Eugh. That is... disgusting. It's still not as bad as some things I encountered in some of the worlds I went to, but... ick."
He was tempted to freeze that puddle, but... there wasn't much point. "At least the stench is far from unbearable. I don't know how well my Aero spells would help with that." While he wasn't walking with Concerto Grosso out, he was ready to summon it at a moment's notice; any astute observer would be able to see that Eligius' eyes were constantly scanning the area, his Scholar's Insight kicking in overtime.

"I apologize you two." Aqua made sure to make clear. She stopped and turned to them, crossing her arms and sighing. "This is the quickest way back to the hub town of the island, known simply as Void City, from this direction." She looks around taking in the disgusting and empty space. "When I first passed through here it was just as gross for me." She snapped her fingers to catch their attention off of the general filth. "HOWEVER. I have been hard at work creating.... Correction, 'Rediscovering', an old magic that had apparently been in usage in the Island's ancient history."
That appeared to have caught the Fire Elemental's attention as she leans closer to Aqua. Her eyes almost looked starry. "Ooooh! Really old wiz buis huh? What kind of spell is it?" She noted Aqua's humorous grin. "Oh come on, PLEEEEASE tell us~?"
The woman chuckled as she turned back around to continue leading the way. "The basic synopsis of it is that the spell can instantaneously warp you to any location you have visited previously." Her arms loosen and fall back to her side, as if she's at ease. "Obviously this has good in-world usage... But with such vague wording, I'm sincerely HOPING it could also be capable of teleporting someone off world, through the void and back home to their place of origin. It's a thin hope. But it's the best hope we've got." It was obvious she was holding onto that hope, that it would guide her back to her own home universe.

"Still, whatever the case may be, we should be cautious around here. There's no telling what kind of shady characters might be living amongst the waste of what once was." The Industrial District almost seemed to make some echoey noises ominously to emphasize this.

Eligius folded his arms, chuckling slightly. "Is that so...? A sort of ancient teleportation magic, huh? Interesting... that's a kind of magic that you don't typically see... that's very high-level Space Magic if someone were to try and do that on an individual basis... without sufficiently advanced technology, at the least."
The young man's brain seemed to be working overtime as he mulled that over. "...And you're right. I feel that we're not alone here..."

Flame Princess herself was starting to get nervous as she looked about, keeping her eyes open for any suspicious movements in the shadows. This was a girl that usually was not afraid of anything about, she had the power to deal with just about anything she came in contact with. Ever since she had gotten to this island however, she had already seen two massive beasts that managed to give her a great deal of trouble. Possibly great enough that they could've given FINN HIMSELF a lot of trouble as well. At this point, she was taking Aqua's words to heart and making sure to be very careful... Who knew what else they would find on this ridiculous world.....

As it would turn out, they were not alone in this desolate and isolated area of the city...
It had been such a confusing day for the poor girl. One minute she was in the middle of a great valley where stood the man she had been ordered to track down and kill, the man whom had caused so much misery for others... And yet the man who had once shown her such genuine kindness and helped her come out of her shell...
She still remembered the Jack Russel many people knew quite well. A simple, near brain-dead man that only wanted to be a knight; to follow in the footsteps of his father sir Cairn Russel, slayer of the Water Dragon Kelvin. The man that was so insufferable and yet showed a different side to himself when given the chance amongst friends. She remembered the man that would come in every day and ask for a duel with her when he had the chance. The two had grown stronger and richer with more experience from each fight...
Who would've known the last time Nina would raise a sword to Jack, it would end up as a nightmare.
For one, she couldn't even get close enough to him to talk, she was continuously being kept back by what looked like the Blood Orc King (Seriously the abilities he had to make friends was INCREDIBLE...), secondly when at last she had the chance and was able to charge him, Jack charged at her commanding officer Cross Ward, whom had made it a habit of taunting Jack continuously. And third, when at last she had her chance, Jack didn't just floor her, he damn near killed her.
... She still remembered his parting words.
"... Please... Go home Nina."
...............................
It burned her. IT BURNED HER SO BAD that she was that close and yet... She understood so little...
"Gkt....." And now the blade that she carried was the only reminder of that duel now... It was an odd number, a sword that almost looked like it had a henge, like a key...

"Well well well, what do we have here~?"
UGh... It was just as Aqua had dreaded... AS they continued making their way, a man suddenly appeared on the road cutting off their route into the city. "If it ain't the blue-haired broad~. And look at this boys. She has FRIENDS with her~." .... Aqua only had to look around to see... Monsterous looking thugs slowly appearing and surrounding them.
The leader was human looking... But Aqua was not fooled.
"I told you, I have no interest in paying the toll."
"And I told YOU, I was willing to ignore that for a little while... HOWEVER babe~." The gang banger grinned as he leaned forward. "I'm not leaving that UP TO YOU ANYMORE~." He was almost sniffing around for money now. Fat chance of him finding ANYTHING, she made sure to HIDE her stuff this time......

Eligius had to fight to keep from physically rolling his eyes as the man showed up. What a scumbag...
"You can't be serious. You're actually charging a toll to leave this godforsaken place?" The young man seemed rather annoyed... He didn't summon his blade yet, though. He was willing to see how this played out for the time being. "I find it hard to believe that you'd actually get much of anything doing this."
His eyes were almost piercing as he scanned the gangbanger and his cronies. He felt he could put up a good fight against them, at the least, though he still would rather avoid a fight at this point.

The man grinned. "ACUTALLY you'd be surprised how well I do. After all, the big boss has a lot of business go through here..." He shrugged a bit. "Still, whatever the case may be doll~, I ignored you the last time you came through here cause I figured I'd be all nice ya know? The boss didn't like that and now he wants your toll PLUS interest." His gaze narrows. "He'll take it outta my hide if I don't do it." There was a growl as Aqua stood at the ready. "Do you really think I care? And besides, I don't have a lot of money on me anyway-" "I'm afraid you misunderstand." ......... ? "It's not the money my boss wants babe. It's somethin' a little more personal." He held up a hand..... REVEALING SOME KIND OF MOUTH WITH TENTACLES ON IT THAT STARTS INHALING. "Wh-What-  ?" Aqua is sucked in looking mildly annoyed. "What are you-? Ugh-!!" H-Her magic... It was steadily- Flame Princess' eyes were wide as an odd energy seemed to leave Aqua and was steadily getting sucked into the man's hand. "What the-?? Aqua!!!" She wanted to move but something deep inside told her getting close to that windtunnel would be extremely hazardous to her health. "S-Stop that!!! Wh-What are you doing- ?" "I thought that was obvious doll~." The man grinned over to FP before turning back to Aqua. "You're toll... Is your magical energy. It's actually quite delicious~." Aqua's eyes widened as she almost saw an inhuman yellow glow in his eyes. This man wasn't human-! |

"What the hell?!"
Eligius hadn't been able to perceive any of that before it happened. As soon as it started, however, he leaned back, summoned Concerto Grosso... and flung it at the man's head. Even if it didn't strike him, he needed to get him away from Aqua. "Master Aqua, hold on!"
As he flung his Keyblade, he moved to pull Aqua away from the man, glaring daggers at the group.

"Fuck off kid this don't concern y-" CLANG!!! "OW!!!!" The man stumbled back as the keyblade collided with his head, dazing him a moment and stopping the wind-tunnel. Aqua, whom had been frozen in place, fell to her knees, eyes wide and sounding like the tunnel had near choked her. Thankfully Eligius had been quick to pull her away. With the man, he held his head as he steadily recovered. "Aqua!! Aqua are you okay??? Aqua!!!" FP was on the woman in a hurry, concern mounting quickly. Aqua meanwhile was still short of breath, looking terrified. "I... I can't-.... I can't-" STOMP... The three turned to the man who was now holding the keyblade looking REALLY P.O'ed. "You LITTLE SHIT..." Still he grinned. "Whasa matter hotpants? Missin' somethin'?" Aqua watched as the man juggled an odd light between his fingers. "This is some pretty pure energy. I think the boss is gonna like this~." Aqua's eyes narrowed as she stumbled to her feet. "You... You just-" "Yep." The man grinned. "STealin' people's magic is kinda a specialty a mine." He smugly said. "I don't even need the wind tunnel to do it either~. Wanna see what else I can do?" Aqua stumbled, shocked at the sudden lack of feeling she had. It felt like something, some important piece of her had been ripped clean out of her body, something natural like an arm or a leg, but something not so much. "Th-That's... That's my magic!! G-GIVE THAT BACK!!!" The man... The monster chuckled as he put the magic away into his hand and stood at a boxer stance. "You want it back lady? Try takin it if ya CAN~." Aqua believed herself ready for just about any other surprises this man had- Up until he created a PORTAL and hopped into it. ............. "What- " BAM!!!!!! Powerful blasts of dark magic exploded behind the group sending them to the pavement. The man had appeared out of a new portal behind them, hand smoking from the usage of fire magic... AQUA'S fire magic. "Okay boys!! Soften em up for me~." And with that, the other monsters closed in, some cracking their knuckles, others pulling out maces, clubs or whatever other weapons they had on hand. |

Eligius re-summoned his Keyblade, slipping into his stance, hopping on his feet as he sized up the nearest monster. "All right then. Hope you're ready..." He grit his teeth, hoping that the others weren't capable of stealing magic like their leader. His magic was his best asset, after all.
He quickly hopped forward, stabbing at the nearest monster with three quick strikes from his Keyblade. "I won't let you hurt them!" He thought for a moment, working up a plan. His mind was racing as he began to fight, leaping nimbly from area to area.

Aqua was still too drained to really be capable of fighting anyone or anything at this point in time. Knowing this FP decided it was time to take action. She erected a quick barrier of fire around Aqua. "Wh-What-!! You're highness! Don't fight them!!" Aqua argued feebly. The magic their leader had allowed him to absorb other people's magic after all. If the Wind Tunnel managed to wrap around the Flaming queen then.... "Don't worry! I know what I'm doing!" Turning to the other monsters, FP growled angrily before her hands sprouted what looked like intense blue flames, almost like the flames from a welding torch. "HAAAAH!!!!" Similarly to Eligius, FP was in on the fight within seconds, using the flames, now more solid, to actually slice through weapons and monsters like they were made of butter; revealing that the blades were, indeed very much like welding torch weapons. "TASTE MY FLAMES YOU MAGGOT PIES!!!!" The blades vanished and FP started a flurry of fireballs, blasting away a number of monsters. STOMP!!!!! ? She turned to see what looked like a massive green giant in leather wear towering over her, holding a club over it's head. "Yike!!!!" She moved out of the way before the giant could smash it down. "Out of our way!!!!!" She continued showering fireball attacks on the monster before finally reaching it's eye, much to it's surprise. After all, it looked like the girl was FLYING. "Lights out!!!" BAM!!!!! She punched the massive monsters eye, causing it to roar and double over in pain. Both from getting it's eye gouged out from a punch and having it BADLY BURNED. "Eat that!!!" .... The Gang banger with the magic had to admit that the display was pretty impressive. |

Eligius grinned. "Way to go, Your Highness!" He was dueling a trio of monsters with agility, slashing and stabbing as necessary. "Haaahh... DIA!" He gestured, sending a bright flash of searing light at them, before quickly dashing past, cutting them down.
After that, he began charging, leaping from wall to wall... then flipping over towards the leader. "Haaaaah! OSMOSE!" A blue aura engulfed his hand as he thrust it to the man, attempting to drain magic power from him. "Give Master Aqua her magic back, you slimeball!

The fighting continuing on only intensified as FP fired out flaming jets from her arms, her head turning from a cute and almost pretty young woman into a raging, fiery and blazing monster "RAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!" She fires out more blasts of flame before seeing a group of rock monsters nearby. ".........."
BOOOM!!!!
When the smoke cleared, the rock monsters now appeared as tiny fiery beings shaped like cats. The Flambos, all shocked at the sudden shift, scampered off as quickly as possible. "BACK OFF!!!!!" FP punched a goblin in the snout, near shattering his skull. Aqua meanwhile could only watch FP fight off as valiently as she could before she was group tackled.... A few seconds later, the monster pile-up blasted outwards, sending them flying in all directions while FP took on a bigger, much more intimidating form. "I... SAID.... BACK OFF!!!!!"
The Osmose spell had caught the odd gang banger by surprise, it looked like Eligius had recaptured a tiny bit of Aqua's magic, before the man switched it to his other hand and replaced the magic flow with some of his own. "BACK OFF PUNK, THIS DON'T CONCERN YOU!!" He smacked the Osmose spell away-
THEN SLAMMED ELIGIUS BACK WITH AN ELONGATED LIMB.
When the student looked back, he noted with shock that the Gang Banger's arm had turned into a TENTACLE...
AND ALONG WITH THAT-
"See? Now look what ya did." His mouth was replaced by a fleshy looking BEAK lined with sharp teeth and his green human eyes were replaced with inhuman animal like yellow eyes. "NOW YA GONE AND MADE ME MAD." The tentacle changed back into an arm and hand and he opened up another wind tunnel.
THIS TIME ON ELIGIUS HIMSELF. The loud echoing sound caught Aqua and FP's attention very quick. "ELIGIUS!!!!"
"No no no!!!" Aqua growled to herself as she took in the barrier surrounding her.
She needed to help!!!

"Kuah!" Eligius felt the impact from the tentacle send him flying, and the young man coughed up some blood as he was sent skidding away, falling on a knee. He was injured...
He spat on the ground when the gangbanger yelled at him. "Bite me. I don't care." ...Though he began to care as he felt the wind tunnel yanking at his magic. "Ghhk! I... don't... think so!"
The young man's body began to glow. "You two! Take cover!"
Quickly working up what magic that wasn't stolen yet into his body, he tossed his Keyblade aside, it vanishing shortly afterward. "Huuaaaaahh! Self! DESTRUCT!"
He slammed his fists together, a massive explosion launching outward from his body, in all directions.
When it cleared... the young man was there, ashen...
And then he collapsed, having put as much vital energy that wouldn't kill him into the blast. He was, however, unconscious.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "AGH!!!!!" The monsterous Gang banger was sent flying backwards. FP hit the dirt and covered her head, Aqua meanwhile did the same. The shockwave sent a number of monsters flying back as well... When the smoke cleared, Eligius was now on the ground, covered in soot and out cold. "E-Eligius!!" The barrier of fire had been snuffed out by the shockwaves, so she was quick to get up and rush over to where Eligius lay on the ground, sliding to a stop and then hitting her knees. "A-Are you okay?? Eligius!!" Remembering what she was taught, she checked the man's wrist... Good there was a pulse. He was still alive. "COUGH HACK!!!" ....... The gangbanger slowly came back... And- His head was replaced by a purple, almost tumorish looking mass with yellow dots replacing his eyes. The beak from before was apparent, one of his arms was a tentacle while the other was a massive SPIKE that bent like an arm did. The zootsuit he had been wearing was mostly gone now, ripped to shreds by the tentacles that had burst from his back... The Tentacle arm rounded around, the tip splitting into a number of finger like claws that ripped off the rest of the suit, revealing the rest of his body was sickly purple just like the rest of him, yellow bulbous spots on his body that seemed to swirl with purplish energy. One of them contained a whiter light however, which Aqua recognized as her magic. ".... YOU... LITTLE... BRATS!!!!!!!!!!! I'M GONNA FUCKIN' KILL YOU!!!!" It was clear he was somewhat yeowching from the earlier explosion. However the now very CLEAR demon jumped into the air and slammed back down with his spike arm, trying to impale Aqua and Eligius. The attack missed only because Aqua had grabbed Eligius and jumped back. "EEEEUGH!!! WHAT IS THAT- ?" FP gagged at the sight of the Gang Banger with his true face, causing the monster to snarl viciously. "Here dollface I'll show ya!!!" The tentacle tip burst open and from the claws, another wind tunnel ripped open. Eyes wide, FP narrowly dodged the attack. ----------------------------- BOOOM!!!!! What was THAT? Nina had been hoping to make her way to the city with no troubles and no fighting. However as she made her way closer, she suddenly heard what sounded like massive thuds somewhere behind her. Some kind of fight was going on, but what kind, she had no idea. It sounded big however... Should she go back and investigate? It sounded like it would be far more trouble then it would be worth... ....... But wasn't that what knights did? ....... She sighed... Then turned around to rush back the way she came. ----------------------------- "STAND STILL YA PESTS!!! STAND STILL!!! I'M GONNA VAMP YA DRY!!!!!!!!!" Aqua, still holding onto Eligius, jumped again away from another attack before she finished absorbing what little magic Eligius managed to recover from the horrific monster. |
