Pieter folded his arms... "...Seems like it. Judging by how you're talking, and how you're holding yourself, I get the feeling that you had something bad happen."
That was... disconcerting. Very disconcerting.

'Something bad..' HAH... HAAHAHAHAAHAHA. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
TRY 'EVERY-DAMN-THING'.
"It's... A slightly long story... Plus I'm kinda tired of telling it honestly. It was a sad and miserable day for everyone involved... Heck... At this point, I'm just... AFRAID that the only people who would ever understand the references are all dead aside from me and Arti... And I just sent HIM to the hospital where he could get treated for very serious neck injuries........." He lowered his head and looked down. "So much shit went wrong really."

Pieter's expression grew rather grim. Tell me on the way. I feel I should see him.
He very quickly shifted into his God Tier outfit, hovering in the air. He wanted answers... how things could have gone so badly, considering what he knew from history.

"H-hold on!"
.....................
................................
"Um.... I... Can't go." He notes Pieter's odd look. "Th-the doctors said they'd call me if they needed any kind of help. Or if he..." NO NO, DON'T THINK ABOUT THAT... He shook his head and looked back up. "B-Besides! I've gotta look after Lizzie! Oh and Beth's here too. But she's from another timeline. It's very confusing..."
He pointed to the island that was now even further out then before. "They're on that island over there. I left them with some of my food..."
It likely struck Pieter how easily Aaron was willing to let Arti go under the promise that he'd be 'well taken care of'. Even if it was true, his Aaron would've at least rushed to the hospital first thing to check... The Lizzie reference at least made sense though..... Actually it only half did...
JUST Lizziesprite?

Just hearing that alone already told Pieter volumes about what he was dealing with here. "I see. Well, in that case, lead me over there where Lizzie and Beth are. If Arti's in the hospital here, he should be in good hands."
He didn't stop hovering in the air, nor did his expression betray his confusion. The blond figured he'd get his answers soon enough.

Aaron wasn't sure he liked the expression on his much taller friend's face... Had he really changed so much-?
.... With a shamefaced expression, he floated up and flew back to the island, Pieter following close behind him.
----------------------------------------
Lizzie continued smiling to herself as she watched Beth help herself. She still remembered fondly how Aaron's mother would make a bunch of desserts for the players in the hopes of keeping their morale up. When the players became god-tiers, they became very durable, almost to the point of fast healing and skin like steel. Which honestly stunk in a number of ways. Aaron's mother had been a doctor back on Earth, one that cared a great deal for the health and safety of those around her... And thus, with no potential clientele and no means to help with her own selected field of study... Well, cooking was about the only skill she had left to contribute...
Though Lizzie did also remember her swinging a bat around and chasing imps out of the house on normal occasion which was always a treat.
The treats were trivial at best... But...
Now it seemed this final spread was all they had left of her.
"How are you enjoying it?" She said with a small smile, holding a tray full of Cupcakes. The wisp shortened out until the ghostly little girl sprite, spitting image of the tragic figure Emily Reilly of Anya's Ghost, floated at what looked like full height. At least her wisp wasn't wrapped around the table now. "None of it's particularly healthy... But Dr. Colvard always said that this kind of thing is good for the soul."
Rest in peace, mother figure. You would be missed. Dearly.

" I miss Dr. Colvard.... She was awesome... A great cook and had an even better bedside manner. Sure I got scolded for my fray motif usage and times I fainted from blood loss. Even after tiering, I had several time I woke up with her next to me," Forsaken offered as she took a cupcake. "To a wonderful mother figure," she added with a raised cupcake.

.... Lizzie picked up a cupcake herself. "...... To a wonderful mother..." With that, a despondent Lizzie chomped it down. Sweet as always. She supposed she shouldn't have expected anything less from her dorky brother's storage methods. The void was a very cold place, so everything that entered in... Well it wasn't frozen, but it got so cold that it never aged a second older. This stuff was just as fresh as the day Dr. Colvard baked it.
She supposed... from this point on, Aaron was her family now. She hoped they could continue getting closer from here on out. In the end, they only had each other now...
... Well... At least Beth was here... And by the looks of things so was Arti! Maybe being here wouldn't be so bad after all.
..... Lizzie finally took notice of Aaron's left behind Hologram projecting keyboard.... .... ..... Smiling a bit, she floated over to it and briefly worked at it a moment...
"There!"
When Beth turned, she found Lizzie seating next to her, pulling up the holo-keyboard along with her... A moment later, she pushed play.
Bobbing her head in rhythm to the song, Lizzie swayed back and forth to it, getting caught up in the melody, the words, letting it all wash over her so. Perhaps the two just needed a moment of silence. Perhaps they just needed a moment to sulk. To properly grieve over the loss... Something beautiful, something classic, was just what was deserved.
----------------------
The song continued on as Aaron and Pieter landed on the island.
"So now I cooooome to you~, With ooooopen aaarms! Nooothing to hide~, Believe what I say, So heeeeere I am! With ooooopen arms! Hoping you'll see, What you're love means to meeeee..... Open arms........"
The ghostly sprite was now singing along, near tears.
.....
............. The Thief of Void looked away, his expression somewhat sorrowful as well.

Forsaken let a few tears fall. She was quiet as she ate the cupcake and didn't quiet register that Pieter was there as she shed her jacket to show a massive assortment of scars.
"Good song, Lizzie," Forsaken offered with a sorrowful expression on her face.

When he saw the scene... the blond was actually breathless. For a while, anyway.
"...What the hell..?" He began processing the information, looking around, still hovering in the air. He was baffled by all the scars... nothing made sense. What had happened?

"Pff... don't look at me. She hasn't really told me anything about her timeline." He sighs and walks up to the two... Without a word, he sits next to the two. "Sorry for the interruption girls, but I have returned." Momentarily surprised, Lizzie is quick to hand the keyboard back to Alex.... .... ... He handed it back to her. "No no, please. Choose another song..." He then pointed behind him. "We've now got Pieter here with us."
THAT took Lizzie by surprise as she looked. She still had a few tears in her eyes as she looked to, INDEED, see the ever music loving Mage of floating tall behind her. "O-Oh!!! Pieter!!" She's quick to wipe the tears from her eyes and then rush up to hug Pieter, giving the keyboard to Aaron for a moment. "H-How are you here??? We thought you were dead, this is incredible~!!" She shakes her head quickly and motions around. "Please! Help yourself to some food! I'll get another song going! Just a second!"
.... Indeed that had been Lizzie, long before she had ever prototyped again. Just as music loving as he remembered her. Something he left her with as he remembered... And yet... the notion of seeing her here was a disturbing notion to the Mage of Space.
First there was a not 'AS MUCH' Gung-ho Aaron, a man whom was normally so energetic and off to perform his next big project. Then there was the non-prototyped Lizzie, whom had appeared to be crying earlier... And now Beth. Heavily scarred. Apparently from another timeline...
As Lizzie went hard at work looking for a song, Alex looked back at Pieter and patted the ground next to him, as if offering a seat.

Forsaken looked to the mage. "It's been too long, Pieter. And Aaron... You never asked. I don't spout information with out being asked about it," she offered to the boys. She wiped a few tears away with the back of her hand.
"You'll have to forgive the appearance. Been drifting and fighting for since it all went to hell," Forsaken offered before blinking. "You cleaned up well and got mega tall.... Great..... I'm the shortest of the session...."

Pieter was quiet, nodding softly to Forsaken, hovering in the air... he lightly pressed his palms together, tapping the pads of his index fingers together, seeming deep in thought.
"Given what you said, I can safely assume that we are from vastly different timelines. Things went to hell for you all... and then you have me. Lizzie said I'd died, but... well, here I am, alive, whole... and older than you all. How old are you? I turned 22 last April."
That right there was a huge difference. Pieter was still just 19 and in his sophomore year of college when they'd played the game.

.... Letting out a sigh, Alex leaned back, looking out to this odd unnamed sea. The carnival grounds was growing ever more distant, as was the port town to which it was related. The island really WAS drifting, it seemed to be drifting out then back in, all the while circling around this massive island... It was an interesting sight to be sure... Still... That just left the answer to Pieter's question.
"I think... Technically, I should be 19 now... But I don't really know... Too much damn time in the void and in Dream Bubbles." And since Aaron considered time non-existent in the void...
That meant this man had only spent a few months in the game...
.... Things must have truly gone wrong if everything exploded on them THAT early on...

"23. I've always been the eldest of my session. We got a late start with my session," she offered to the pair.
