Alex however did.
Another takes the reigns.
She could've, perhaps, been speaking of Forsaken, the version of Beth he met only earlier that day. The one traveling about with Lizzie, still seeing the island with Pieter. He had been with them only some hours ago previously; saw most of the island before he decided to seperate for the time being and look about on his own. Maybe because he wanted to look around for some of the characters he was familiar with; maybe to meet new faces in the hopes that seeing fictional characters would make him care more about social interaction then with regular people.
... Well, he was talking pretty well with Yang thus far, so... MOSTLY confirmed?
"It sounds like she might be gone for good to me... I guess all we can really do is wish her well." He looks back to Yang, sighing as he finished his last fry, getting up from his seat. "That's the thing with God-tiers. Many of us have had a tough time prior to ending up where-ever we land... I have a feeling that this siren girl was no different..."
They all do huh?
Really, Alex was doing well hiding his own conditions... Though he had a feeling they would become more apparent as time rolled on...

"Possibly... We still wanna wait up and see if she comes home some day..." Yang offered as she took a few of her remaining fries. "I don't know what I'd do if Todd just vanished one day... He's acted like an older brother to me and I've kind grown used to having him around. So to the Hotel?"

"To the Hotel."
The hotel, a place of general confusion and randomness. Truth be told, Alex had been hoping to avoid the place. After all, there was no real telling what was going to happen when he got there. Still if someone he could collaborate about the island lived there then... Well it looked like he had little choice on the matter.
As he and Yang left the restaurant however, meeting Todd wasn't the highest thought on his mind...
Rather, it seemed to be on Yang herself and the fact that he had not only managed to have a civil conversation with her, but had what technically counted as a brief little visitation...
IT was an... Interesting thought really.
But one he actually found quite pleasant.
