"'Evan' is a child. EVAN is in WAY over his head... And you know it." He groans and finally lands on a rock at the top of the hill....
Out in the fields just beyond, to which he could see for miles in all directions, he could see the Prospitan and Dersite army frozen in the heat of battle, black and white soldiers, black and white people, stretching out as far as the eye could see... "... I wish our Evan was here. He'd have a better idea of what he was agreeing to do. He'd have at least some answers to offset my own..." His face was flat with annoyance. "HELL, he'd have a LOT MORE SENSE THEN JUST freezing up someone's body on INSTINCT. Especially if that someone is TRYING TO HELP HIM." ............... He sighs. "Look... I know he's gone, and I know there's no way we can bring back the guy I knew... It just... Would've been easier I think... We could've really used his help during the fight against that monster... We could really use his help NOW....."

Kendall stood beside him, staring out across the landscape with a look of contemplation. His gaze drifted up to the sky. Even it its paused state, the clouds of Skaia still shone with the events of the past, present and future. The angel's eyes landed on a dark image... one that very faintly seemed to portray the outline of a figure in a black, hooded cloak, wielding a scythe in one hand and a glowing white ball in the other.
"How do you know your Evan isn't here?"

...... ? Alex looked at him oddly.... By the time he followed his gaze and looked up, the vision of the man had vanished, replaced by a vision of an odd looking cube like device.... Shaking his head, he turned his gaze back down Skaiaward to continue taking in his surroundings- Wait...
The man got up from the stone and floated upwards to give him a better vantage point... But no matter how much he looked outward, it didn't change what he saw not too far away... Some kind of.... Odd device, littering the battlefield. A device that definitely looked like it had NO EARTHLY BUSINESS BEING THERE... "........." He started floating towards it. Curious. "What the hell is THAT?"
It took Kendall a moment to realize what Alex was talking about....
An odd pod like container that looked more recent arrival then long time set-piece for the paused battle.

Kendall just smiled as he watched Alex fly towards the capsule, eventually spreading his wings and following him. He landed a little ways away, giving the thief some distance, leaving him to his business.
From the look of it, the timer on the side still had a long way to go...

He continued looking over the pod, taking in it's various details, the rose like design, the clock at the top, the impact zone that resembled a crater, the scattered Prospitans that were now lying on their sides after being knocked over by the pods crash landing... After a moment, he finally found a window looking inside... Which was fogged up... Alex was quick to pull out some windex he had collected from his home before he vacated his session. It was actually surprising how well the stuff had helped out during his game. Spraying the window once or twice, he followed up by pulling out a towel and wiping it off...
Okay that seemed to make it SLIGHTLY easier to look through... He tried looking through the window again...
......
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"R-Ryan-!! Ryan's-!!! Ryan's in here!!!"
Maybe not HIS Ryan, but it was definitely a VERSION of Ryan, and a version was better then none. With this discovery made, Alex quickly circled around the pod, trying to find some kind of means of opening the pod and freeing the person inside. "Come on, come on, there's gotta be SOME way to get this thing opened-! Ryan!!! Ryan!!!" He started pounding on the pod's door, and once he found the tiniest crease, he pulled out a crobar and went to work trying to pry it open.

Kendall watched Alex's struggle awkwardly, cringing at his futile efforts to pry the pod open. Knowing there was only a single, solitary means of ensuring it was successfully opened and remained intact, he quickly approached Alex with his arms raised in an effort to calm him down.
He knew what had to be done... but he didn't have to like it. Kendall hated dealing in ultimatums.
"Aaron-! Aaron, if I may. It's sealed far too tightly. You'll only damage it and potentially its contents. It will open when the timer runs out. I'm more than willing to fast-forward it for you... on... one condition..."

Oh great... A condition... "NOPE. NO CONDITIONS. I CAN... HANDLE THIS... PERFECTLY WELL... ON MY OOWWWN-" CREAK!!! No that wasn't the pod, but Alex WAS now holding a crowbar that was bent in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION THAT IT was the last time he saw it.... He let out almost feral sounding angrish screaming as he tossed the crowbar aside. It landed with a clank on the frozen ground rather then just landing on the checkerboard grass. He had to take a long hard moment just to catch his breath, leaned up against the pod and desperately trying to kill off the blackness trying to take advantage of his frustration and take control of his body... Once it was gone, the boy let out a VERY Elongated groan...
Then he turned to Kendall, his expression saying he absolutely HATED that this was what he was reduced to.
"WHAT'S YOUR FUCKING CONDITION............"

Kendall's solemn expression was a clear enough sign that he wasn't going to enjoy this negotiation either. "My, um... My request stands firm. I'm afraid I really do need the Paramount Key."

...... Kendall didn't need the key. He's already mentioned that he couldn't use the key... Alex growled under his breath. "You don't need the key. You just need to get it back to Evan." .... The angry growling continued a little bit before the thief of void threw his hands up in the air out of frustration. "FINE. BUT I DO IT. I NEED TO HAVE WORDS WITH THAT DUMBASS BEFORE I give the key back."
And with that, he stepped back motioning for Kendall to look at the pod. "Now do your... TIME thing."

"What? Oh, no, no no no no no..." Kendall raised his hands again and smiled apologetically. "I don't need the key to return it to Evan at present moment. He actually already has it! I need it so that I may deliver it to him before he enters the Medium. After all, what kind of story would this be if our keymaster and Hero of Hope was restricted the use of his ultimate tool of trade by means of an alternate strife deck allocation? Not one that either alpha timeline would allow for, most definitely!"

...................... Alex raised an eyebrow. Definitely confused.
"............. UH.... NO HE DOESN'T? BECAUSE I STOLE IT? AND WE JUST WENT OVER THAT LIKE... LITERALLY A SECOND AGO?" He said, speaking as if he would to the biggest moron he had ever seen. "and this is HARDLY a typical game even by Sburb standards. Evan isn't going to be going through any of the bullshit we had to before. What with fixing up his house and getting an Alchemiter and all that and the Totem... He's literally already HERE after all."

"Well, yes, but I'm sure that you're fully aware that when you and your compatriots were playing the game, Evan possessed the Paramount Key, hence his keyKind strife specibus," Kendall explained in a much more peaceful and informative tone. "He stated that the key was delivered to him out of thin air as a gift from the Angel of Time... who, of course, is me. There is only one Paramount Key, and it must find its way into the rogue's hands somehow."

"What the hell are you-"He stopped. It took him a moment, but it looked like the information was processing. Realization was crossing, and it looked like the factor annoyed him more and more as it sunk in. "..... Wait a minute..." YEP, HERE IT CAME. "... Do you... Mean to tell me that it was a good thing I swiped that fucking key ANYWAY? Because this is literally the moment when you are going to go back in time so you can give it to OUR Evan...??" FRUSTRATION WAS ONLY BUILDING. "DO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT THANKS TO ME BEING A GIGANTIC GODDAMNED DOOFUS, YOU FINALLY HAVE THE FUCKING OPPURTUNITY TO SLIP OUR EVAN IN THE PAST THAT FUCKING KEY IN THE FIRST PLACE??? I'M THE REASON YOU HAVE THE CHANCE?"..................... The fact that Alex wanted to pull out his hair likely didn't surprise Kendall... ..... "I FEEL LIKE MY FRUSTRATION SHOULD BE UN-FUCKING-ENDING RIGHT NOW, BUT AT THIS POINT I'VE REACHED AN EXTENT WHERE I'VE ALL BUT STOPPED GIVING A SHIT."He suddenly quick-changed into his Wayfairers traveling robes, and reached into a pocket. AAAAAH! So that's why Alex didn't seem too concerned about letting out Swift to grab the key. When it became apparent she wasn't calming down, he hid the key in one of his alt costumes pockets- The key pelted Kendall in the forehead at high speeds before bouncing off and circling in the air. "HERE FUCKING TAKE IT. JUST DON'T EXPLAIN FURTHER, MY HEAD ALREADY HURTS.............."

Kendall didn't bother to dodge the hit he saw coming when Alex threw the key at his forehead. Aside from the transfer of momentum, he didn't even flinch. He just calmly let it bounce off his head and then swiped it out of the air with remarkable precision. The key then vanished from his grip, sent back in time to fall into his own hands again.
"Regardless, thank you." Smiling as if that entire conflict hadn't even happened, Kendall then stepped up to the lotus capsule and raised his hands. "This is where I'm meant to be right now, after all."
White light illuminated his palms. The timer on the side of the capsule sped up exponentially, the numbers rapidly flashing until they finally reached zero. The flower instantly began to bloom...

The fittingly pink flower burst open, releasing a light that held the symbol of Heart in its center. The light briefly expanded outward, Ryan landing squarely on his feet before falling to his knees, landing on the cold, frozen ground with a thud. He was... crying, blubbering, sniffling, not unheard of with Ryan's crazy mood swings, but if he was this bad already... What happened before his capsule entered the medium?
*sniffle...* "I just get inside this stupid stone box and it kicks me right back out!" he screamed, standing up in a hurry. "Stupid in-game-!" He froze, his bleary red eyes blinking. "...G...Gantz?"
