Kendall remained off to the side, a silent observer, giving the duo enough space to have their reunion. It was a sweet moment that he didn't want or need to interrupt. What was there even to say? The boys needed comfort that only they could provide each other. No sense in cutting it short so long as they had time on their hands for recovery.
At least for now. There were other things that needed to be done here... but not now. Now was Alex and Ryan's time.
And so, letting himself fade into the background, Kendall stood by and watched the battlefield's horizon, waiting patiently, taking advantage of his break as well. Every now and then, though, he would look over his shoulder to keep vigil over the boys, as well as check the lotus capsule that they sat up against as they set up their video games.
Seen only by the angel's eyes, the timer had reset, preparing to reopen in only a few hours.
