Full Name: Atlania
Nickname(s): Atla (preferred name)
Age: 12, doesn’t look it.
Height: short
Weight: Pretty light.
Gender: female
Race: Great Water Sylph
Alliance: Anyone that wouldn’t oppose her.
Home: The Royal Palace of the aquatic Planet.
Franchise: Cantato Adonia: Spiritual Successor (original franchise)
Physical Description
As a water Sylph, being more powerful evolutions of sprites, Atla is very clearly water oriented- from her blue skin tone all the way to her fin-like extensions, everything about Atla could be considered aquatic. To compliment her tone, she wears a light violet and green dress, a blue symbol resembling a spade being present on the front. The dress is sleeveless, and also gives her legs lots of room. As an aside, she keeps her dark blue hair pointed toward the left of her head, her eyes a delicate purple in tone.
Weapons
An oddity of a weapon, Atla wears a small charm on a necklace, but it’s no mere charm. It’s a weapon made from Aurite, a material that Sylphs can freely morph and alter at their whim, withing the specifications of the weapon or tool. In this case, the item in question is a form of musical instrument, being able to shift itself to suit sound needs. From hypnotism, to illusions, to making a physical wave of sound, this weapon can be dangerous if you can’t nullify the sound.
Of note, it can also make her allies stronger, so keep an eye out for that.
Abilities/Powers
As a being of pure elemental energy, Atla has general control of her element- and she’s quite the accomplished Hydrokinetic, to boot! Summoning water with her will, then shaping it to make specific attacks are her specialty- from blowing sticky bubbles to making small tornadoes of water, she’ll summon forth anything to knock her foes away.
However, despite being good at it, her water attacks lack a certain degree of power- she’s got high elemental usage (a mana meter, so to speak), but not enough power to make the constant aquatic assault any more than a nuisance. So most of the time, she votes to wear a foe down by weakening them or wearing them away over time, rather than using brute force.
She does have one trump card- Eternal Aura, an ability any Sylph can access, next to creating obedient constructs (golems) and being able to alter details of their bodies to better suit a task (shape-shifting- she can take on a mermaid esque form for water travel). Eternal Aura can only be triggered when a Sylph has sustained a lot of damage, or has stored up enough power in battle to access it, giving them a limited amount of time to use their powers without fear of a limit- but they can exhaust themselves if they’re not careful.
Atla’s Eternal Aura often involves her enveloping herself in a large water bubble, swimming through the air with no problems. This lack of gravity and near endless supply of water makes her trickier to deal with, but leaves her open to electric attacks.
Weaknesses
As an evolved form of the common water sprite, Atla sadly falls prey to the same weaknesses. She’s susceptible to plant, electric, light and ice elemental attacks (the last of which are susceptible to water as well, at least by this chart). Outside of this, she can shrug off most forms of magic attack, but falls easy to physical strikes.
Skills
Believe it or not, she’s a decent musician, being taught by her father while her mother was Awol.
Personality
Being raised by her father and her Mother’s Grand Construct, Atla was taught to be kind to others, but also to be strong in her beliefs. In spite of this upbringing, she tends to come off as a lazy girl, most likely because her father had spoiled her in her mother’s absence. She also has an odd viewpoint of anything she hasn’t experienced herself, not seeing much point until the point is made obvious. She was taught to eat a mixed diet of fruits, veggies and meat, but has a bad sweet tooth and tendency to be rude or compliant when something sweet’s involved. She hates bitter or sour things, though.
History
After five straight years of being the planetary guardian, Marina, for reasons unknown, took off to see the world, likely be do a better job of guarding by actually being present when the guarding needs to happen. Mere days after she left, her Sylphling child finally broke free from her cocoon, her mother’s assistant Construct and father being the only two left to really care for the girl. As such, they took it upon themselves to raise her up until her mother could return.
Several years later, with her mother only making the occasional stop at home to see her daughter, Atla managed to gain a very poor opinion of the woman, and of guardian work as a direct result. She’s somewhat lazy, and honestly isn’t interested in taking her mother’s title, much to the disappointment of her father. These days she’d primely head to a local fighting range to use her magic or keep herself from getting too rusty, but most of the time she’s escaping the castle to hide in the nearby island town, unknowingly mimicking her mother’s actions by abandoning what should be important.
One fine day, the young madam was making her routine escape from the castle, only to swim into a powerful vortex of water created by a portal. Despite her best efforts, she couldn’t pull free from the whirlpool, being dragged to wherever it lead.
Other
As a note: Atla hasn’t met many of the other so called heirs to the throne, with the only one she’s familiar with being a young man named Clay. His family will often make stops in her area for some building supplies not so easily accessed at home, and the two are fairly close friends.
