Undyne just rolled her eyes at Papyrus as he waved at the man that had arrived only seconds earlier... Still, it was nice to see that Erin had found a friend of hers. It was like everything that had happened before had finally reached it's appropriate reward...
Well... For her at least...
For her, the memories were still fresh... That insane child... His insane powers... Just how badly he outclassed all of them...
A game.... The fact that Chara... That demon child... Has only been subdued for another year...
A lot of things looked bad... But...
One step at a time Undyne... At least Erin would be okay... And with her reunited with her friends... They had a chance now... They had more help.

Once he had sent out the message to Beth, Alex put away his computer as he took in the sweet little scene with Erin and Todd... .... Which was still going on.... Weird. Finally Erin seperated, chuckling a bit. "Christ I missed you dork... I honestly did NOT think I was going to find you here..." She blushed however thinking back to what happened in Bonsai Village... "Though... I hadn't had much to think about earlier since I was under Horror-terror control..." She motions to Undyne and Papyrus. "I have these two dorks to thank for my being able to break out of it."

Alex was definitely... Surprised.
He more then recognized Undyne and Papyrus... But to hear that THEY HELPED HER BREAK OUT OF HER GRIMDARK TRANCE?
".... YOU TWO DID? HOLY CRAP. Me and Yang fought an entire WAR and she still couldn't snap me out of it. And yet YOU guys succeeded~?? That's incredible-!!"

"WELL, UNDYNE WAS THE PRIMARY REASON- SHE GAINED DETERMINATION DURING THE FIGHT, AND ERIN TOOK IT, THEN ERIN SORT OF... BROKE HERSELF OUT???" he explained. It was honestly a lot more confusing than he was making it sound.

Alex's eyes were wide in disbelief...
.... He looked to Erin taking her in. Erin just blushed and scratched behind her head.
"... YOU HAVE DETERMINATION."
"I have determination. Yes."
JUST LIKE...
"Well... I have Yang's aura abilities... Kinda... I think I just have the healing factor though."
ERIN DOUBLE-TAKED AND LOOKED AT HIM SHOCKED.
"... SHUT THE FUCK UP...."
"I do~!"
"SHUT. THE FUCK. UP." Words aside, it looked like Erin was now INSANELY JEALOUS. "WHY DO YOU GET THE COOL POWERS?? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY I WOULD PAY JUST TO GET THE POWERS TO FUCK THINGS UP THAT BADLY. I WOULD GIVE UP ALL OF MY WORLDLY POSSESSIONS FOR THAT."
Undyne and the others just looked at the two oddly.
"Hahahaha~! This is really cool. We haven't been here that long and we're already getting some pretty interesting benefits from it~." .... He then remember that Void City was still a mess... "Hahahaha... If only they didn't have to come from such bad circumstances~...."
"Hahahaha.... Yeah... I guess so..." She looks to Undyne and Papyrus apologetically.
Hahahahaha... The two really were a lot a like... Near equals in demeanor. Using geeking out as a coping mechanism when available was definitely a very Erin thing Todd knew... Looked like the same thing could be said for Alex.

Todd blinked. "So you can steal abilities now.... Good to know. And don't harm my roommate. You do and I will get my violas out," he offered in a protective tone before hugging Yang in an 'She's my adopted sister' kind of way.
Yang blinked. "Alex.... You have a flashing screen," she offered before being hugged.

Undyne thought some more on this, looking between the two thieves, then Yang, then the others... New abilities... Gained in terrible circumstances... Could it be-? "... Some..." She looks between the two thieves, particularly to Erin "I remember when my Determination was slowly melting away my body and killing me..." Alex looked wide-eyed to hear this... "Then suddenly... You seemed to take away enough of that determination to save me... I guess your monster self figured you'd finish the job yourself... But then you fought back." She looks a bit curious... "Do you mean to tell me that you and your brother here can BOTH do that? You can steal other people's capabilities?"
Erin looked down bashfully. "Don't blame her. We weren't really in control of ourselves."
So they could!
Undyne was definitely wide-eyed at the realization. "So... You guys can do that with anyone-?"
"We didn't even know the ability existed until the Horror-Terrors forced us to use it-"
"Bro. I appreciate the defense... but..."
"It's the truth though, you don't deserve to be bla-"
"I know that... But maybe we shouldn't discuss it here. If anyone found out what you and your blonde friend did, you'd probably be in BIG trouble... We should probably find a safer place to talk before we continue."
............. THAT WAS ACTUALLY A REALLY GOOD POINT. "Makes sense..." He notices the screen flashing and he picks it up. "We shouldn't stick around here any longer... Thankfully I know where we can go to continue."

Papyrus nodded, starting to follow them along. No sooner did he start his walk, a small herd of candle-stick men came into view, passing right by the group with a large, black one in the middle. "Ugh... Glad that long night of terror is finished," the big one sighed. "Now maybe we can go to work in piece."
"Peace isn't a likely option- remember when that fat man ran through the mall with stolen goods?"
He gave another groan. "Just as long as it's not werewolves and creatures from the deep abyss, I'm fine."
"WHAT'S AN ABYSS?" Papyrus asked.
"Underwater cave that goes deep into the earth," the candleman offered. "C'mon boys, Mall's just a half a mile!"
"WELL THEY SEEM LIKE FUN," Papyrus smiled. "MAYBE WE COULD VISIT THIS MALL SOON?"
