When Alex awoke, he awoke to a cloudy sky, little white flakes slowly descending upon the earth. He couldn't really remember much of what had happened before no matter how much he tried to dig for the memories. Which was strange... He could definitely remember being in a hurry for some reason. Being urgent and alert... "Ugh...." Slowly, he awoke further, bringing his hands to his face to wipe off his eyes. "I wake up and I'm outside? This sounds like a troubling turn of events...." But for what? He couldn't really remember anything...
With a sigh he slowly sat up... Or... ATTEMPTED TO. He was now becoming VERY aware of just how bruised and battered his body was. "Oh GREAT, ANOTHER unwelcome turn of events..." Groaning in misery, he tilted his head around...
The city he was in was in utter ruins. Buildings massive piles of rubble and broken glass, streets charred, several meteorite's embedded in what was left of the cement. Even still a number of places were now on fire due to said falling space rocks...
..... Oh god...
".... OH... NO... NO....." He could remember it now, protecting Lizzie, giving her the kill wire for his void barrier, before retreating out... Oh god, he couldn't remember what happened AFTER that. "What the-?? No..! Where-??" He continued looking around, still finding no-one...
At least until he found an equally unconscious young woman nearby, with long blonde hair.

There was a weak amount of movements before a weak and broken whale noise came from Yang. "So..... That was Grimdark.... Ow," Yang offered as she turned her head to look at Alex. "Looks like we both got battered badly." The last part sounded as if the younger of the pair was trying to tease Alex.

Oh god she saw.

"... I'm... I'm so sorry... I... I tried so hard to... To hide it but..." But they still got him. The horrorterrors still took his body out for a spin and lay to waste so much of the city... He was unsure though... Shouldn't the destruction have been more widespread-?... His eyes went to Yang. "......."
.... Could she have-? Yes... Yes, he was starting to remember an odd dog like monster with... With Yang's face. No... No now he was starting to remember more... He remembered stealing so much of Yang's aura just to heal and shield himself... Then using his abilities to cause even more carnage... Well... At least the aura was slowly, SLOWLY, healing him up.
"How are you holding up over there Yang-?"

The woman sat up. "Grateful for having aura to heal me up. How'd you do that stealing Aura thing anyways?" she asked getting to the point as she flicked a few pieces of rubble off of her skin. "Yes I fought you- well kinda- you were possessed by these weird entities. I was in Rakshasa Grimm form but still that seems to have caused a lot of damage...."
Her eyes looked about the battlefield. The huntress-in-training gulped at the wreckage.

So... they both became aware of each other... Well at least there was that... Kind of? He couldn't help but groan... At least aura was healing him too- Wait... ....
He looked at his hand, noting it slowly healing up. Both God Tier powers AND Aura seemed to slowly be healing him up, at a rate he wasn't really used to. It was... Unreal... He let his arm fall to his side. The two fought each other in their worst forms... Somehow, Yang's Fright Island form had managed to survive his onslaught... Maybe he shouldn't have been surprised- NO NO HE WAS COMPLETELY SURPRISED. The horrorterrors knew how to use his powers in ways he hadn't even dreamed of... It was... Maddening in that sense...
He could almost feel his emotions start to go pretty much everywhere as his eyes watered.
"Hah... Hahahaha... I... I don't know... I... I hadn't even been aware that that was a thing I could DO with my powers..." He couldn't help but cover his face. "Even after all of that, those... Those monsters are still taking me to school with my own fricking powers... It's... It's frustrating..." It was cool. But it was frustrating... "And now I'm apparently healing much faster then I ever did before-?? I just-"
Realization crossed him.
"O-OH GOD... Yang y-you still have you're aura right??"

She held up a bruised hand as it healed up at her usual rate. "Still got it," she offered.

...... "... Good..." He had been... Afraid...
So much could have gone wrong... So much could have happened... If they hadn't happened already... He could remember stealing a lot of Yang's aura... Her only saving grace had been her natural capability to create Aura by the BOAT LOAD. In the end, her natural capability had saved her... And, somehow, stealing so much had allowed him to...
"Well.... I might as well look on the bright side... If this ever happens again, I shouldn't need to steal aura." He chuckles bitterly. "I'm not sure how... But stealing that much aura apparently awakened a capability to make some and use it in my own self... I'm already healing at an accelerated rate both thanks to Aura and to my god-tier capabilities."
.... Slowly, he sits up...
The entire city was in shambles.....

"Fat lot of good that'll do me with... All of this..."

"I think I caused half of this....." Yang offered weakly. "Maybe we can figure out a semblance for you later. After all of this chaos blows over."

.... Alex couldn't help but look around... The fog had lifted, winter was setting in and everything seemed to finally be as it should be. "By the looks of things... I think the worst might very well be behind us now..." ..... He looks to her as he slowly pushes himself to his feet, stumbling a bit. At least he was on his knees now... "... Are you sure you're okay Yang-? I mean... If there's anything that needs fixing, I know a few people that could get you looked at and heal you up."
He was being so careful, so cautious... So scared. Obviously this had happened before but...
What HAPPENED that first time-?

Yang slowly stood up. "I'm good. Terminal velocity from a melon hammer remember?" she offered with a grin. "The fog is gone for another year. May this not happen again." Yang reached a hand out to Alex.

One could only hope... Still, there was a lot of work to do if it meant stopping the fog from ever coming back. It was apparent immediately from his surroundings that visiting her IMMEDIATELY would be a requirement. They would have to get to work on a counter potion as soon as possible. Something that could completely cancel out the fog and finally end this curse on Dimensional Island... When that happened, only then would he be capable of living peacefully on the island with his friends and his slowly growing new family.
He had so much work to do...
Still, for the time being... All he could do was reach up and take Yang's hand.
"All the same... I'm sorry... You know... For hurting you." You weren't even in control of your own ACTIONS. "Here's to hoping that... We won't have a repeat of this next year."

The blonde gave a weak smile as she helped her god tier friend to his feet.

"Haha... Right." Once Alex was back on his feet, the two took in the destruction around them, unsure of what to do about it... Alex possessed no skills with craftmanship and such a repair job would likely cost a shitload of cash. Possibly most of, if not the entirety of his kings ransom in Boondollars.

The two look between each other a moment.... After a second, Alex raised a hand and took a breath... While nothing came out at first, something eventually did.
