Evan just smiled and shrugged. Who was he to comment on the character of someone he had never met, even if it was an alternate version of himself?
He raised his eyebrows slightly when Swift's keen sense of smell kicked in. "A garden, huh? Heh... Maybe that's it."
He then looked up ahead to where the path split, one trail leading further into town, the other towards a more wooded area. He had to stop and stare curiously down the latter path. Although he couldn't describe it, Evan felt strangely, powerfully drawn to it. Something inside him urged him ahead, like the beckoning of one's own home. It just felt like... he was supposed to be here.
"Yeah... Yeah, I think this is it!" Evan declared, charging down the trail like it was the final stretch of a sprint.

Alex, Erin and Lizzie were quickly taken off guard as Evan rushed ahead of them towards what appeared to be a massive plot of land nearby... Or at least they could tell it was a plot of land by the wall surrounding it... Still for what little the three could see, they could make out the top of a number of trees, growing some of the freshest looking peaches they had seen. Twin brother and Twin sister looked to each other a moment, trying to make out what had just occurred... The two just decided to shrug. "Well..... We ARE northeast of Bonsai Village... And that IS a plot of land... I guess it makes sense we go there."
"Yep." Lizzie chuckled as they followed after Evan and the others.

"Whoop! Full steam ahead!" Swift laughed as she raced after Evan, easily catching up to him. As she ran alongside him down the path, the scents of the garden grew stronger. A wondrous bouquet of fruity, floral and herbal aromas weaved through the trees, and it didn't take Swift's wolf nose to pick them up anymore.
Sure enough, once they had navigated down the winding path through the trees, the group found a wall separating them from innumerable acres of land. Swift, already full of energy, brightened up further at the sight and smell. Her giddiness intensified when she noticed a plaque on the wall, engraved with kanji. "Kisono Fields. This is it, guys!"
Swift walked a little ways along the wall until she came across an iron gate, undoubtedly locked tight. It would've been rude to barge in via the Paramount Key. She'd have to settle on pulling the rope dangling next to the gate, alerting the land's owner to their presence with the chime of the mighty bell hanging atop the wall. Which she did. An effective doorbell, she had to admit. Not to mention a loud one.

Forsaken and Todd happily chased the group as Yang kept up with the pack.

Evan came to a halt at the gate next to Swift, staring up the wall, taking in the fresh aroma and letting out an impressed whistle. "Fancy. Gonna be pretty atmospheric in there, I can tell."
Carter trotted up to them, finding himself just as enraptured by the potpourri of scents as Swift. However, he eventually picked out a very specific scent within the mix. One that he didn't particularly like.
"Hm..." A few minutes or so after Swift rang the bell, Evan started rocking slightly on his heels. "Must be a pretty big estate. Sure is taking them a while..."

"It wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. Usually plots of land like this are pretty big places..." She crossed her arm and leaned back against the wall. "We may as well get comfy... Least till this guy answers the front door."
Alex sighed and did the same, crossing his arms and going back into his thoughts. Lizzie meanwhile hovered up to the wall, then peeked up over the edge. She smiled at all she found just beyond. "Woooow, it's really pretty in there~. There's so many different kinds of plants and veggies~!" She giggled to herself as she looked to Alex. "Hey! Hey Alex! Come here! You can see everything just right here!" Hahaha, typical Lizzie.

"Oop, here we go," Swift spoke up when she noticed someone approach on the other side.
That someone was a small, bipedal, cat-like creature carrying nothing but a staff. He kept quiet until it came to a halt at the gate, staring up at the group with squinty eyes of scrutiny. Then he spoke in the raspy voice of an old man with a history of smoking, "You here on business?"
Swift blinked, though she seemed unfazed by the sight of the cat. "No, not exactly."
"Well, sorry, but we don't do tours."
"No no, we're just here to talk to Sanuta."
"On what terms?"
"Um... We were... told to by the Angel of Time."
"Ohhhh, Kendall sent ya! Why didn't ya say so?" the cat chimed as he unlocked the gate and ushered the group inside. "Come on in."
"Thanks." Swift nodded and excitedly passed through the gate, slowing down quite a bit and dropping her jaw when she got a good look at the estate.
For acres and acres, as far as the eye could see, there was nothing but pure, sparkling greenery. Trees in full bloom and bearing fruit, bushes and shrubs lined in rowed patches, blossoms of every color of the rainbow. The aroma fully engulfed them here, a medley of sweet fruit, strong herbs and fresh flowers. Everything just seemed alive in this expansive grove of untainted nature.
"Wow..."
"Yeah, somethin', ain't it?" the cat chuckled as it lead them down the winding path through the trees and gardens.

Forsaken jumped down off of her cube and walked in the gate. "Wow.... It's gorgeous in here...." the woman uttered.
Todd nodded in agreement as he and Yang followed.

As Swift and the cat spoke, Carter let out a low growl. Not necessarily a threatening one; simply one of contempt.
"Carter..." Evan grumbled softly. "Play nice."
"Oh, calm down," Carter muttered bitterly. "I'll behave, but I don't have to like it."
Evan nodded and followed Swift inside, pausing to behold the garden with wide, awestruck eyes. There were no words he could find to describe the magnificent orchard that surrounded them. All he could do was utter, in unison with Swift, a dumbfounded "Wow."
He shook himself off just enough to follow the cat, despite the excitement he still had trouble containing. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Mr..."

Taking in the sights around them, the two thieves and the sprite were somewhat awestruck. "Woooooow... It's so beautiful~....." She turned to look at her two players and guardians as they took in the area similarly. "It looks even more beautiful from the inside~."
"It is pretty. We'll have to give the master of this estate our commentary when we run into him." Erin was busily taking in the scenery while Alex turned to the cat that was guiding them into the estate. "But anyways, yeah. How about we get introductions out of the way. Are you mr. Kikagi?"

"Nah," the cat replied. "Name's Kensuke. I'm the farmhand around here."
"You're a nekomata, aren't you?" Swift asked curiously, taking note of Kensuke's two tails.
"Ee-yup. And you're a wolf hanyo?"
"That I am."
"Heh... Sanuta will have a field day with you guys, lemme tell ya... I think he said he'd be working on the noji crops, so he should be around here somewhere..." Kensuke murmured as he scanned the nearby fields, eventually spotting a yellowish spot amongst the green a little ways away. "Ah, there he is. Hey! Sanuta! Ya got company!"
At his call, the human-like master of the estate –clad in pale yellow robes, a traditional bamboo hat, and thick-rimmed, hipster-style glasses– suddenly shot up, looking rather shocked. He stared at the group from his little spot in the bushes, then he hastily scrambled out of the field and over to them in a jittery and overly excited manner. "Uh, hi! Hi, I'm Sanuta. You must be Kendall's friends."

"That we would be, Mister Kikagi," Todd offered with a respective bow.
Yang looked at the land around them. "You have a lovely home sir," she offered.
Forsaken quietly watched.

Evan chuckled at Sanuta's goofy display; right off the bat, Evan could tell he liked this guy. He offered his hand and cheerfully said, "Yeah, I'm Evan. Nice to meet ya!"
Carter simply stood by Evan, smiling and wagging his tail.

Lizzie seemed somewhat amused by mr. Kikagi, holding in a few giggles as everyone greeted the man before them. Alex nodded to the man, bowing as was usually customary to people living in the East. "I suppose you could call us Kendall's friends." He shrugs. "I personally haven't met the guy yet but from what I've been hearing he sounds interesting."
At any potential looks, Erin waved them off. "WE ARE HOWEVER working with Kendall's friends. We're just kinda latecomers due to circumstances... ANYWAY, it's nice to meet you sir." She nodded her head to him, elbowing her twin brother simply to keep his attention.

"Ah. Yes, thank you." Sanuta graciously shook Evan's hand. "Kendall told me quite a bit about you, sir. It's very nice to meet you. Welcome, all of you, to Kisono Fields."
"Well, you kids have fun," Kensuke offered. "I'm gonna get back to work on the pest problem over in the alihotsy patch."
"Oh, yes, you do that," Sanuta agreed as his feline assistant meandered off. He then turned his attention back to his guests and cheerfully asked, "Now then! Kendall told me you would be here, though he didn't exactly say what for. That said, what can I help you with?"
Swift tilted her head. So he didn't know what they were supposed to talk about either? Kind of a bad sign, but knowing Kendall, everything would come to light eventually. Thus, she decided to break the ice in the most polite manner she could think of. "Well, how about you start by explaining what exactly you do here? Clearly you have some fascinating work going on."
Sanuta suppressed a giggle, almost like an excited fanboy. "You think so?"
"Of course! This is quite the garden you have here. It must be pretty interesting running it."
"Oh yes, absolutely!" Sanuta lowered his hat, letting it hang back around his neck, revealing short black hair, pointed ears and deep blue eyes. He then turned and began a leisurely stroll through the fields. "I-I'd be delighted to! Please, follow me..."
