The Island's Central
By Alphonse Quark
Very few sights on the island truely astound then the center; an area covered widely in grass and craggy cliffs where-in you could go and find yourself capable of seeing just how widely varied the island is. The truth of the matter is that this continent is a very small; As more people arrive hoping to find new solace and new homes, They will ultimately be disappointed in the fact that most of the land is, in fact, barely habitable at all. Settlements have been created in the east by our current trading partners but they have settled in one of few places which is temperately acceptable for such large scale populations. IT is a puzzle...
However, no matter where me and my companions go on the island looking for land to settle upon, we always find ourselves coming back to the center of the island, as if a mysterious power draws us here. My men have grown so used to the locale that many have started building homes here... Still, I suppose it is an interesting and fitting choice. The island Center allows us all vantage points to the rest of the continent floating in the void. T'would be an impossibility to cross from one side to the other without crossing the center. The center of the island already proves to be a promising center of trade.
So as thus, the settlement came to be founded, once named after our former king, but was renamed Void Town due to it's advantageous position within the continent's sweetspot. It is neither bombarded by horrifying weather or suffering from the problems the other portions of the island suffer from. It is a kind of safe haven, a spot that barely exists at all when compared to the chaos the rest of the island suffers through daily.
