The fog continued billowing about the island like a horrific shroud, corrupting most within it's reach. Amidst the madness, mad laughter could be heard echoing outwards, parts of the shroud taking on a new red color... allowing the fog to suddenly sport a horrific looking face with red eyes and a narrow line like a smile. The expression however looked quite twisted as opposed to innocent... Then the thin red smile became bigger, as if it was opening it's mouth... "HehehehEHAHAHAHAHAAHEHE-HAHAHAHAHAHA~!!!"---------------------------------- The laughter seemed to come from everywhere and yet nowhere at the same time... However it was a fair deal enough to catch one certain person's attention. A young man with red hair, wearing a black vest with a blue shirt underneath it and tan pants. His eyes almost looked blank and expressionless, but that vanished when he heard the laugh, looking unsure as to what he had just heard. "Wh-what was that-??" .... He seemed to ask no-one as he continued moving about the dark streets....... But suddenly- Whooop~! HIS SHADOW SAT UP AND TOOK A VAGUE SHAPE, one with a spikey head and arms ended in claws. The black shape also had yellow eyes and a yellow jack-o-lantern style smile. "The demon behind this fog no doubt... I will give him this, he has some amount of creativity. Must be a youngling." The shadow creature turned to the human, having looked up to the sky to see the giant eye that seemed to hover in the air several miles away... "But that should be no concern of ours slave. This child is no evil king..." SPEAKING OF WHICH... "THAT REMINDS ME HOWEVER... WHERE THE HELL ARE WE?? WHERE HAVE YOU TAKEN ME WHILE I WAS ASLEEP MISERABLE SLAVE??"The boy rolled his eyes as he continued along the way, the shadow continuing to whine and flail it's paper flat appendages about. "Hey, don't look at me..." He took a moment to think about this... "We had just gotten home after beating Linda, Teen Idol evil king and had returned to my home to rest up since before her had been the Big Bull Evil King... Both joined us to help you out..." The boy stopped to continue considerations. "We spent the night there set to continue traveling in the morning... Then...." .......... !!! Ah yes, he remembered now. "There was this odd doorway in my room... I woke up from a dream and found it there where I knew a door hadn't existed previously..." The boy nodded, remembering now. ................ "So... A DOOR, just RANDOMLY appeared in your room, ONE YOU HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE... AND YOU JUST DECIDE TO WALK THROUGH IT...".... "Yeah, it probably wasn't a smart decision on my part-" "NO SHIT SHERLOCK!! WHEN DID YOU REACH THAT CONCLUSION YOURSELF??? WHEN YOU WERE HUMPING THE DOOR JUST BECAUSE YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SUCH A GOOD IDEA TO GO THROUGH IT AND WANTED TO SAVOR IT??? WHAT KIND OF IDIOT GOES THROUGH A DOOR THAT JUST RANDOMLY APPEARS IN THEIR BEDROOM ONE NIGHT??? HOW STUPID DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO DO THIS???" The shadow continued ranting and raving as Ari kept walking. "DO WE EVEN KNOW WHERE WE ARE- ?".... Nope... Not so much... The young man kept the search up continuing to keep his eyes open.... There HAD to be something somewhere... |

Still catching their breaths after fleeing from the spider creature, a most peculiar duo ran into the back alley, figuring that the city was probably the best place to wait out the fog and to find the rest of their friends.
Said duo consisted of a rather short kid with a horrific burn under a half-mask and... a bunch of floating clothes.
"C'mon, Kam..." came a voice from the floating clothes, an invisible hand adjusting a pair of sunglasses, "We've gotta be safe here..."
"Kim," Huff, puff. The mini phantom bent over, placing his hands on his knees. "There's probably something in these alleyways..."
"Yeah, but we've got protection, remember?"
"Yeah, but still..."
A phone suddenly seemed to materialize, and the voice from earlier spoke into it. "Hello, Philly Phil, is this y-"
"You have reached the voicemail of 215-200-0126. Please leave your name and number after the tone." Beep.
"Argh! Pick up the phone!" The phone seemed to slam itself shut. "Kam, can I borrow your pho-"
The phantom shut his own phone. "Done. Eddie and Tamika aren't picking up either, Li'l D we already know is here, and Madison... well she said she'll make it here with her new friend as soon as she can."
"New... friend?"
The phantom shrugged.

As the twins shrugged, they suddenly overheard two voices entering into the alley from the other entrance across town. Two voices, clearly bickering, both intelligible-...
"It's such an interesting city... And yet it's so deserted... What could've happened here-?"
"WHAT DOES IT MATTER!?!?! TAKE US HOME RIGHT THIS INSTANT SLAVE!!"
"Come on Stan, something's obviously going on here... How do you know this ISN'T the work of an Evil King?"
"Because the energy doesn't feel right. The child demon is powerful definitely, but it is using a power unlike anything I've seen in thousands of years... I do remember a similar force to this however..."
"You do?"

At the sight of a seemingly ordinary kid, and... was that a living and demonic shadow?!
The twins had seen weird, but this...
"Kam, as far as freaky costume people go, you come in second."
"Yeah, that's defin- HEY!" The masked boy huffed up slightly, feeling a weak punch thrown at his arm.
"You've seriously gotta lighten up. C'mon, he might know some more about this place than we do!"
"Maybe I should-'"
The pile of clothes had walked off, leaving Kam with his index finger raised and a rather annoyed look. "... Talk to hi-"
The camera cut to something else could finish that.

A scream was cut short as the lady's voice fell, its owner's consciousness fading away.
A few moments later, Li'l D quickly spit out a red fluid and wiped his mouth.
"Okay this ain't nowhere near as it look in the movies..."
--
Just a few blocks down, Ari felt an invisible hand on his shoulder, jumping slightly.
"Hey, can you help us?"

Ari and Stan's bickering had continued a moment before Stan finally decided to shut up and let Ari just do as he wished... It looked like nothing else was going to convince the boy anyway. Grumbling all the while, Stan continued keeping an eye out along with Ari as they took in the alleyway... "Slave we should leave this place. We're not going to find ANYTHING but rats in an alleyway... UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR RATS YOU DISGUSTING FLESH SACK!"
Ari took in a garbage dumpster then continued on. "I dunno... When I found that door I just found myself here when I went through... I'm still not sure where we are anyway... You really think this is an alleyway?"
"WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?" Point made.
Ari feels a tap on his shoulder, prompting him to jump. "O-Oh!! Oh hello!! Um sorry we're a little lo-"
He turned to see the new face-
OR LACK THERE-OF.
"AGH!!!!"
The being before him looked like little more then clothes floating in mid-air, suspended by some unknown force. "GHOST!!!!" Oh great what was he going to do now? Run away screami-
OR HE PULLS OUT A SWORD AND HOLDS IT DEFENSIVELY AGAINST THE FLOATING CLOTHES. "GET BACK! I'VE BEATEN UP TONS OF GHOSTS I KNOW HOW TO FIGHT YOU TOO!!"

Okay, she didn't know this kid had a sword. Kim raised her hands up to show that she was unarmed.
Ari would only see the arms of the coat and the gloves go up.
"H-Hey, I'm not a ghost! I may be invisible but that doesn't mean anything!"
Kam, having heard the screams, had arrived just in time to see the older boy point his sword at Kim.
"Easy," Kam said, trying to defuse any tension. "She's fine."

Li'l D had heard Ari's scream from earlier, and took off running in that direction, the few drops of the lady's blood on his lips...
A distant crashing sound could be heard.

Ari looked a little confused when the Ghost seemed to intelligently respond back to him. Normally ghosts back home only just attacked on sight or even on a whim. And yet this ghost threw up it's hands at the first sign of trouble. Very strange. While Ari looked confused however, Stan stood up a little taller, his form looking even the slightest bit more ominous. "Don't listen to that thing Slave! Attack it quick-!!" That was when Ari felt the hand on his shoulder- "AGH!!! TWO OF THEM!!!""YIKE-!!!!!!" Ari swung his sword around as he jumped to the side- Only to feel it graze past someone during the jump. " Huh-?" He turned to look at the invisible thing he had been pointing his sword at earlier- ONLY TO SEE A RED SPOT APPEAR IN MID AIR AROUND WHERE THE ARM WOULD'VE BEEN. " ?? Huh- " Stan looked a little weirded out as well as he took in this oddity... Then he started rubbing his chin... Waaaaiiiit.... |

"Ack!!"
One of the hands flew to the spot where Ari's blade had struck, the red fluid seeping through invisible fingers.
Guess she wasn't totally invisible after all...
"Kim!" Within seconds of the cut, Kim felt Kam's hand on her arm. "Are you okay?"
"No, my arm just got sliced open!" The invisible woman motioned to her bleeding arm. "What's worse is that this coat was going to be totally in season this winter!"
Kam couldn't help but roll his eyes and facepalm with his free hand. "Oh for crying out... Nevermind, we'll deal with it later." The male twin looked around and found a section of lead pipe. That'll do.

There was the sound of something heavy crashing into a dumpster, followed by a very muffled "ow."

............ WHAT WAS HAPPENING? Ari's eyes were wide at the sight, while Stan was just clueless... As the masked kid looked around for... Something, Ari put away his sword. "SLAVE WHAT ARE YOU DOING- YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S GOING ON HERE-" Ari just walked up to the invisible... Thing, heedless of Stan's words. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING??""Stan, hush." ... Ari holds up his hands, "S-sorry about that... Something tells me there's been a bit of a misunderstanding here... But if you'll let me, I know a spell that can heal that right up. I'm actually pretty good with healing magic you see. Kind of a specialty." The poor thing just looked so guilty as he said that. |

While Kam's eyebrow went up in suspicion, Kim extended her arm out. "Yeah, this is just a big misunderstanding... I'm Kim, by the way, and the cheesemunch ("HEY!") here is my brother Kam. And like I said earlier, we kinda need some help."
Kim moves her head to look at her brother better. "Kam, you can put the pipe down now."
"No!"
"Kam."
"Sorry, I'm just all on edge tonight."

Two pairs of footsteps could be heard in the distance.
The closer set was human and only moderately frantic.
The second set was animalistic and sounded like it was running from something.

Ari probably heard the footsteps but he decided to busy himself with correcting his mistake. Looking to Stan, the Demon lord let out a irritated grunt and vanished back into his shadow. With a sigh, Ari walked over to 'Kim'. "Here. Hold still..." He took a deep breath... There was a small flash from his hands as he grabbed onto Kim's arm just to make sure it was there. The harsh hiss indeed confirmed it. "Sorry... Okay now, just stay right there..." The light traveled from Ari's hands to the arm, melding into the invisible thing and almost briefly making it appear tangible as it glowed brighter...
A few seconds, the glowing stopped... Ari looked at the arm... AND IT WAS STILL GONE. "Oh geeze... Um... I can't really see if that did the trick-... Is the cut gone-? If you need some more healing, just let me know please."
The footsteps got louder and louder. Now a third set had joined the bunch, these ones sounding heavier and almost like someone thwacking two chrom plates on the ground. "Hey get back here puppy~! Don't run away~!! Hehehehehahaha~!!!

"Yeah... yeah, my arm's healed! Thanks er... What's your name?"
Kim adjusted her sunglasses to show that she was there, the cut on her arm no longer present and her body transparent again.
The bandaged and bespeckled head motioned to Kam once again. "You can like, put it down..."
"No."
"Kam."
"Look, we almost got eaten- would have had it not been for that guy... Come to think of it," Kam asked, slightly lowering the pipe section. "Where'd he go anyways?"
There was a scream in the distance. "What was that?!"
"Dunno."

The animalistic running grew faster, and the camera panned up to reveal its owner...
An auburn wolfman with yellow not-glowing sclera, green irises, and somewhat scraggly orange hair.
Curious, it lifted up its front legs, to find it could run on two legs. It made what sounded like a sigh of relief.
Phil turned his head behind him, yelling at his pursuer...
"͝GO͢ ĄW̕AY̧!͜ F̵o͜r th̛e last tìm͡e͜, ̸I̵'ḿ n͟o̡t a͜ ̧p̵upp̛ỳ,̛ ̴I͠'͟m a҉ p͟ersơn!̀!"͞
Its voice was human, but seemed oddly distorted...

Meanwhile, the human footsteps grew more frantic, as if Li'l D was running from something...

Ari had been JUST about to answer when the three heard a scream somewhere in the distance. There was some discussion about some person Ari didn't know and had never been introduced to. But honestly at this point, anything like that could possibly wait. WHERE-EVER they were, the aura in the air made it clear that they were NOT anywhere safe... They needed to find a safer place to talk. "Um... Maybe we can save names until we get out of here-?" The boy was interrupted- BY A POWERFUL WAVE OF ENERGY UNLIKE ANYTHING ARI HAD SEEN BEFORE. ONE THAT WAS CUTTING THROUGH SOLID BRICK. "AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He dove down to the ground as the blast flew over his and, HOPEFULLY, the twin's heads. -------------------------- "You think that makes any difference to me~~" Peacock shouted back as she kept the chase going. Really at this point, Peacock was just enjoying torturing the poor thing that dared try to escape from her. She locked him up in that room for a reason darnit! "Now come back here puppy~! I want to play!!"The two stop dead however when they hear a massive crash not too far away... -------------------------- ......... As the smoke cleared, things started coming into focus..... A figure was standing down the alley not too far away...... The one apparent trait being the glowing red eyes and the unnatural sadistic grin. "OH HOW QUAINT~. In your bid to get away from me, you've led me RIGHT TO THE OTHER TWO FREAKS THAT WON'T PLAY WITH ME~. AND WHAT'S THIS? Another victim? Goodie! All the better...." |

"Eek!" "Whoa!"
Kim and Kam hit the deck just second after they heard the scream. Being friends with Li'l D pretty much came with its own warning label. And speaking of Li'l D?
"Kim, Kam, is that you?"
"Yeah, it's us..." came a voice from the floating clothes. "Is that you Li'l D?"
It was as if the smoke wasn't a thing for them...
"It's nice to see you back to.... uh, normal, but..." Kam raised the hand not holding the section of lead pipe, and pointed behind Li'l D.
"Uh yeah, any of y'all got any ideas?"
"Running away?"
"Perfect! C'mon man, let's get OUTTA HERE!!"
Not bothering to hear any objections, Ari felt his shirt get grabbed by three hands and became their unwilling passenger.

Phil brought his other hand to the cone and began yanking on the offending object. "̵I̵'m ͡P͠hil͜l̢y̢ P͡hi͜l,̡ ̨I͠ ͝a̸m͟ ̛mo̴st̸ ̵de̸finit̀e̵ly͞ ̨n̷ot àny̶ k̵ìn͏d ̛o͟f̸ canine̴, ̢a͞ǹd.͠..̧ Yo͟u'͞r͘e n͜ot͠ li̢s҉t̢enin͏g a͞re͟n't̶'c͘h͘ą?̴"͡

Wh-WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT- ? The grinning abomination in the fog turned to look at Ari as it's eyes wandered amongst it's upcoming victims.... However... Ari noticed something. Something about seeing him caused the monster to pause upon seeing him. The bloody eyes were wide at the sight, almost as if recognizing the person before them. The demon that comes when called stopped upon seeing the kid. Then Ari felt three hands grab the back of his shirt and he was dragged off in a rush. "WAGH-!!!" Chara only delayed a moment longer, shaking his head before grinning. 'Hmmmmm.... How interesting....'Chara hadn't seen a human with such a high concentration of Kindness in quite a long time... Heck that kindness literally shown prominently in the boy's green eyes..... The other three were just as fascinating looking at them closely, A red heart for Determination, blue for Integrity, and yellow for Justice... Not all that surprising given human souls tended to be vibrant... But there was something about these 4 souls.... ------------------ Peacock had stopped the chase when she heard the explosion, looking up to the smoke from a distance away... Her eyes flashed, almost in recognition. There was an energy in the air, a kind of discomfort that she was all too familiar with at this point. She knew the feeling from once before... When the Skull Girl had been near.... She then turned to the Were-wolf. "We can worry about that LATER puppy~! She had vanished into a portable hole... ...... Before Phil could question where she had went, Peacock reappeared from another hole RIGHT NEXT TO HIM AND WRAPPED A LEASH AROUND THE BOY. "Come on Boy! We're going to go check that out!! Let's move!!" And with that, she rushed off, dragging a slightly choking Phil behind her. ------------------ Ari was screaming quite a bit as the knife swipes came fast and furious, launching out beams that threatened to slice the four to ribbons. "OLLY OLLY OXEN FREE~~~~~." HE sliced out again as he gave chase, narrowly missing Ari's leg. "S-STAN-?!?!?! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS THING?!?!?!" Of course Stan didn't answer, the alleyway was too dark and, as thus, he couldn't cast a shadow to bring Stan here. "RUN FAAASTER!!!!!" Ari screamed to his rescuers promptly. |
