Alex seemed to just stay still as Yang hugged him, holding him close, comforting him... He turned to look at her, tearing up even more... Then he returned the hug, holding her close...
And he cried.
He cried and cried and cried some more...
Maybe it wasn't clear, but he had heard her and considered her words... He just...
He just wanted someone to be there right then... To hold him... To let him know everything was going to be alright...
He didn't sob, he didn't weep... He just held onto Yang tightly and let himself let it all out...
He cried about his lost family. The loss of his mother and sister... The loss of his friends in his timeline. The fact that the only thing he would ever get that was close were those from other timelines... and that even though getting them was great, it would never replace the friends he watched die. The friends he physically lost. Replacements were great... But they just wouldn't be the same... And finally, he cried, secretly, that he might soon have to go through that again. A man that never wanted to be a hero would have to take up the mantle in another round of the game. The game he feared more then anything...
He was terrified... Doubting his strength, unsure he was truly strong enough to survive another round...
But... If he did... Maybe it might be worth it...
He spent what few minutes remaining of the second movie just letting it all out as Yang comforted him... He had a lot of anger, bitterness, sadness, resentment and others to go through after all...

"Alex. You're the strongest and most powerful man I know, and my Uncle Qrow used to have that title," she offered as she held him. Even she was starting to tear up now mostly due to her missing the family she left behind. "You're not alone, I'm here for you. I know Todd will treat you like his brother- Monty knows he needs some male friends/family. Heck you still have Lizzie and Erin. Papyrus and Undyne too probably."

Another flash of red and Todd was flying at high speed only to get smacked down by the pole of a scythe. "Oooowwwww...." Todd uttered before looking to his assailant. He gulped seeing the business end of a scythe he recognized around his neck. "H-h-h-h-h-hey! Innocent here. Was only following the petals!" he admitted in a very scared tone. "I don't have a weapon on me. I went out looking for my roomie and saw the trial."

Alex continued crying simply, holding Yang close, his fingers desperately gripping into the back of her night shirt. As if she would vanish if he even so much as THOUGHT of letting go. He just wanted to hold her all night, cry, just let it all out. He wanted proof to himself that he indeed felt this way for his lost friends and loved ones, proof that they truly mattered and that their memory would never be forgotten...
All of a sudden... He wanted to go out and find M- No... Arti. The only survivor of his own session... He wanted to go out and find him. Hold him. Let that dumb ole sunburn know that no matter what, he would always appreciate him being here. It was the least of what he deserved.
Still, that could come later.
For now, he just... Didn't want to let go of this wonderful amazing person here, holding him, letting him cry on her shoulder, talking gently to him, encouraging him, praising him. Saying that she believed him to be so strong... And, most importantly... Telling him that he wasn't alone...
... Yes... Maybe that was the truth...
He lost his family and friends.... But in replacement got new onces... Some similar to the faces he knew but all slightly different in some way... And for those that weren't players, they were precious characters. Innocent people that were getting themselves involved in a massive plot beyond their ability to handle... He would have to find some way to help Papyrus and Undyne in that way...
... As the movie's credits played, Alex seemed to start calming down... He was still crying, but he seemed to be getting calmer...
".... Thank you Yang..."
.............
"... I'm sorry your shirt's a little wet now..." It made sense...
He had a lot to sort through...

Yang gave a soft smile. "You're welcome. Shirts dry. Now are you alright? If you need to let out more, go for it. I'm here for you," she offered before kissing his ear. She gave a slight shudder as if a little cold.

"Then why follow my trail?" The scythe's keeper asked as the blade drew a little closer.
"Did it ever occur to you, Miss Rose, that your petal trail looks like a blood trail? I was simply coming to see if who or what ever caused the trail was safe and unharmed," Todd offered. "I've only seen the Crescent Rose in broadcasts of the Vytal Festival. NEver thought you would hold it to my neck."
"I'm surprised you know that much. I have a picture to show you. I want to know if you've seen a girl I know," replied the scythe's keeper as the blade was removed.

Alex seemed to take note of the shudder, as he continued holding her... "......If I need to let out more, I'll let out more... I... Think I'll be okay for now..." He kissed her cheek one or two times as he continued to hold her... Slowly... Hesitantly... He let go of her and separated, allowing the couple to look each other in the eye... Alex's expression was slightly blood shot and tired... But his smile was just as kind, even if there were tints of sadness mixed in.
Then...
"Go ahead and get back on the couch. I'll be right back."
He pulled away then floated back up the stairs...
Thankfully, Yang didn't have to wait long to learn what Alex had went upstairs to grab. From a void portal right behind her, a pair of arms appeared...
And gently wrapped a nice, big, comfy, warm blanket around Yang... From the portal, Alex appeared, closing it behind him and sitting himself down next to a slightly cocooned Yang. He smiled to her. "I um.... Noticed you shivering a bit... So... I got you the blanket if you needed it." With that said, he got up to switch out the DVDs, taking out 'The Empire Strikes back' and putting in 'Return of the Jedi' before returning to his seat. "Okay.. last movie. Are we ready?" He was still keeping to his earlier plan? Even after all of that?

Yang eeped before being told what Alex was doing. "Didn't know you could travel through those.... And thank you. My only question is are you up for it? Because I wouldn't mind curling up with you on the couch and just crashing for the night. You look like you need sleep," she offered after calming down slightly.

Todd blinked looking at the picture on Ruby's phone. "She's my roommate," he offered before being hugged tightly. "Now I think I know how my cats used to feel when I hugged them tightly..."
Ruby quickly let go and put her weapon into inactive mode. ".... Wait.... you were looking for her and found me... So she's wandered off?" Ruby asked.
Todd nodded.

.... It was true... Alex just felt exhausted. Completely. On all fronts, physically, mentally and emotionally spent... It looked like he was having a hard time staying awake really... ... Letting out a sigh, he pushed the button on the remote switching off the DVD and the TV... The rest of the room went dark since the two had went into a kind of movie theater mode of spectating... Still whatever the case, the completely exhausted Alex looked to Yang as he all but dropped the remote on the carpet floor...
"I'm sorry... I really did want to watch all these with you... But... I guess I shouldn't complain too much..." He smiled to her. "I.... I had fun... Lots of fun in fact..." He pulled a pillow or two out of his void modus and started fluffing them, letting out a breath... He then noticed Yang in her blanket... For a moment, he felt jealous, then he started to wonder how it would feel if he got to be in there with her.

Yang crawled down with him and let him have most of the blanket as she cuddled into him. Lucky for Alex- Yang was pretty much a human heater.

Todd sighed. "Let's get you inside. I know you have a cloak but you're allowed to join me at my room. I have a couch and you can take my bed," he offered.
"You're surprisingly friendly."
"I treat Yang like family. Specifically my younger sister. I welcome you and your team into my home as well." Todd was soon walking home with Ruby trailing behind him.

Smiling from ear to ear Alex placed down the pillows and lay down on them. The couch was just long enough to allow him to lay down on it flat without bending his limbs in any way... The pillows were also quite cool after their brief trip into the void modus and the kid too advantage fully, laying down on them and getting nice and comfy... Then Yang came up, scooting in resting herself on top of Alex himself, head on his chest, legs tucked in near her body and arms to her side... Alex completed the comfort by gently wrapping his arms around her and pulling her in a little closer... She was now up to his slightly more elevated neck, head rested partially on the collar bone and more on the pillow herself. The new position let her pull him in closely as well, both holding the other protectively and possessively...
As they looked into each other's tired eyes however, one of Alex's hands left her back and gently carressed Yang's face brushing a lock of hair behind her ear and gently lining the jaw...
.... The kiss that followed was a deep one, a passionate one, Alex attempting to show the extent of his undying gratitude to this wonderful girl before him the best he could. The kiss was a warm one, owing up somewhat to the small amount of practice with the earlier kisses before. This one was probably the deepest however.
But Alex wanted it to be her.
His first passionate kiss... If it was to be with anyone, he loved the thought of it going to the person that showed so much care for him already... So that's exactly what he did...
When they seperated, Alex smiled to Yang, quiet a moment before kissing her again similar in depth but shorter in length. "Yang... Thank you... This... Might very well be..." He started dozing off, snuggling in close...
"The best night of my life..."
And with that he was out, dead to the world and finally getting the rest he likely desperately needed...

"Sleep well my thief. A safe trip to dream land I hope~" Yang whispered as she cuddled in before the sand man soon claimed her as well.

Ruby seemed curious as Todd opened the door and allowed her to walk in. "Make yourself at home," Todd offered before Ruby flopped onto the couch and was almost instantly out. Todd blinked. 'Well.... That happened. And Yang is so grounded tomorrow....' Todd thought before looking to the clock and reading some ungodly hour. He sighed and headed to his room.
