Spend the Night (Gantz and DMis)

It had taken a few minutes to go through the entire movie selection in the store, and almost just as long to find the movie selections they needed for their upcoming festivities... However when they did, it was met with wide-smiles and giddy anticipation of a night of fun to come. When they returned to Alex's apartment, they were greeted by Lizzie, whom was quick to tell them that Erin had left earlier, in something of a rush. Though for what reason she had not said. It was a bit worrying hearing this, but when Alex tried to contact Erin on Pesterchum, he received no response. Plus the group's beacon system had not been set up with her yet. In the end, Yang comforted him, reminding him that they both were powerful combatants. She likely had her own reasons and she would return in her own time. He supposed she had a point.

Alex was initially distracted as he started setting up his Blu-Ray player while the TV booted up, but after a while, giddiness once more replaced it. He had plenty of reasons to be happy after all. He was officially dating Yang Xiao Long. And even more then that? They were actually going to be having a Star Wars movie marathon~. Which was definitely his idea of a proper 'kind of date' sort of thing. He had already called in for Pizza to be delivered to the apartment and he had broken out his collection of ice cold soda collected from his old house in the game. Some of it would probably shaken up due to the haste he had collected it with, but that was but a small price to pay.

Once he had finished setting up his Blu-Ray player, Alex took a step back and grabbed the remote control, testing out the settings on the TV... Cable... Input... HDMI... HDMI 2-

THERE IT IS!

The Blu-Ray Player's start-up screen was apparent on the the TV Screen, letting Alex nod and grin. On the coffee table in front of the couch, a box labeled 'STAR WARS COLLECTION' was apparent, with the titles of movies IV-VI apparent as well. Alex had considered buying the prequels too, but nah, Just the original series would be enough for a solid night of marathon watching.

"Ooooh~! Movie Night!" Lizzie looked quite excited as she sat on the floor, her wisp wrapped around her as if she was lain out. "I gotta say big bro, I'm surprised~. Coming home with a girl? ON AN OFFICIAL DATE~? Let me just be the first to say I'm so super proud of you~!" Alex rolled his eyes, looking somewhat flushed and red. "And it's with YANG of all people~! I should've known I saw something there!"

Alex chuckled as pat Lizzie on the head. "I take it you have no objections?"

Lizzie chuckled gleefully, sprite looking up at her master with a grin. "Are you kidding? Yang is AWESOME~. Having her around more often would be GREAT~! I'm really happy for you two-"

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves JUUUST yet. We're just dating for now... Testing the waters. Sure an INTEREST is there, but we still need to get to know each other-..." He opens up the Star Wars Collection box and takes out the first Blu-Ray Disk. "I will admit though... She did-... SURPRISE me somewhat with this idea."

Lizzie giggled as she floated up off the floor, hands to her face and holding in a squeal. "Are you kidding~?" Alex chuckled as he walked back to the Blu-Ray player, "I mean, you and Yang are both around that age when you want to experiment a little. And it's not like she hasn't shown interest before~."

"But in me-?"

"Well... Why NOT you?"

He was kind of thankful that Yang was back in the kitchen gathering up and preparing some snacks for the movie night while he and his little sister figure talked at leisure...

Yang quietly hummed as she prepped movie treats and a few sodas. The banter she could hear between Alex and Lizzie had a smile showing on the blonde brawler's face.

Her scroll screen had an unsent message reading 'At Alex's. Be home later on. Don't wait up for me.'

It only took a few minutes more for the Pizza to arrive. And once it did, Alex, Lizzie and Yang were soon gathered around the TV as Alex pushed the play button, chomping down on one of the pizza slices and grinning beside himself. He turned to look at Yang, she turned to look at him... THEN THE LOUD BUT EPIC FANFARE the Star Wars franchise was known for played on the TV, causing Alex to jump. He looked away, blushing quite a bit as he looked to the TV.

That had been rather embarrassing... Thankfully Lizzie was seated on the floor to watch the show while Alex and Yang took the couch. She had otherwise missed that embarrassing show.

Yang was giggling as she saw this out of her boyfriend. She happily ate a slice as the screen flickered with images.

"Hey Alex~ Know what would be fun?" the teen asked with a sly smile.

On the screen, sci-fi warfare was playing on as rebellion forces faced off against the Empire's storm troopers, all of them dead set on keeping the soldiers from getting too far into the ship itself and allow the escape of their princess Leia... However for how much attention Alex was giving the screen (And Lizzie's attention was still quite rapt), he found it distracted more and more by the sly smirk on Yang's face.

It was about then that the realization hit him. He was having a movie Night. At his own place. With one of his room-mates out for the night. And the other one so utterly flippant to human affairs that she wouldn't have cared about anything that happened. With a girl like... Well 'YANG XIAO LONG'. A girl that was described as someone that would 'push you into the water' to teach you how to swim. For those of you not following, that meant that they may as well have had the house to themselves. Him, a shy and somewhat withdrawn thief, sharing space and watching movies with perhaps one of the most forward girls he could think of...

"Wh-what-? What would be?"

Neither of them saw Lizzie quietly snickering at them as she continued watching the movie; Darth Vader making his grand entrance.

Yang smiled. "I was going to say 3 way lightsaber fight. But that look on your face says you've got something a little more devious on your face. Care to share, Alex?" she offered. "That will always be one heck of a villain entrance."

"Yes~. Yes it will~." Lizzie just commented simply. Alex meanwhile looked down, blushing a bit at being so thoroughly trolled by this blonde haired dynamo. Still, as she laughed and watched on, his face went a little more red and his expression became dreamy.

She liked Lightsabers and had awesome nerdy ideas too~...

NO NO, SNAP OUT OF IT.

Alex shook his head when Yang turned back to look at him. He took a second breathe deeply, before responding. "IT-... It's nothing, don't worry..." He noted her confused look. "Oh alright... I guess i.... I guess I'm just... A little nervous is all... I haven't... Well done this as a date before..." Heck he hadn't been ON an actual date before.

"You don't think I am as well? Sure I looked at the guys back at Beacon but none were the guy sitting here with me... enjoying movies, popcorn, pizza, and the company of one well behaved sibling. I'm new to this dating world just as you are. And I can't wait to see how this adventure goes~" Yang offered before kissing Alex's cheek.

Alex felt the sweet little peck on the cheek and smiled somewhat at the contact... Yeah... Maybe it would've just been more helpful to relax a little bit... He wasn't expected to do anything... And besides, even if she didn't really show it as much, Yang was a little unsure as well... In fact, the reason she wasn't showing it was because the uncertainty both made her nervous and somewhat excited her...

She wanted so much to see where this adventure would lead her... Maybe...

Maybe he could look at it the same way?

... He looked to Yang then pulled her in with an arm, wrapping it behind and around her shoulder... At the look, he blushed a bit. "Umm... Too forward-?"

Lizzie just smiled to herself as the movie switched to Tatooine, as the droids walked out into the desert...

Yang smiled and snuggled in. "Not at all, Alex~ Just hopefully this arm of yours isn't going to fall asleep," she offered.

... Comforted by her leaning in, Alex figured that, well, if his arm was going to fall asleep holding this precious woman close... Then so be it. He could live with that... As she snuggled closer, he snuggled back warmly and they went back to watching the movie, somewhat ignoring the snacks now. By that point, the Jawa's had captured the droids and, as if by divine intervention, the droids find themselves at the home of Luke Skywalker.... Just like it was by divine intervention that they found each other...

Thus far, tonight was just going perfectly~.

Yang smiled as she watched with Alex. Occasionally the woman stole glances at the thief who had in the short span of only a few weeks or months... stole her heart and she was happy with it. This was a new sense of bliss for her and Yang had to be honest with herself, she wouldn't trade it for the world. This felt better than punching Ursa- and that was an old adrenaline go to.

An hour or so passed in adrenaline filled bliss as Star Wars: A New Hope ended with the destruction of the Death Star and the celebration of two new heroes to the Rebellion.

During which time Alex and Yang had gone through a number of different sitting positions and cute little bonding moments. The newest one appeared to be something fairly interesting, with Alex and Yang playing with their snacks. As the ending credits started playing, Alex pitched up some popcorn and attempted to catch it in his mouth... Perhaps to keep Yang from getting the gleeful satisfaction of seeing there was some things a god COULDN'T do, he, instead, decided to tease her by creating a void portal that would catch the kernal and another to funnel it into his mouth. Needless to say, there was much laughter and proclamations of 'YOU CHEATER~!' going around.

However what was most notable was that as Alex went to change the movies around, he saw with a smile that Lizzie had, at some point during the ending of the first movie, fallen asleep. "Awww, you poor thing~." He looked to Yang and help up a hand as if to shush her. "I'll get the next movie in in a second. I gotta take this young lady to bed~." With that, he picked up Lizzie with a barrier of void energy around his arms and floated off to her bed-room with her.

Yang was almost sure she saw Lizzie wink at her as she was carried away... Then she went back to seemingly snoozing with some light sleep talk along with it.

Yang gave a nod and a soft smiled. 'It's moments like this I miss Ruby.... I did that with her more than once,' Yang thought as she got up to stretch. 'I hope she's okay...'

Mean while, Todd had just returned to his hotel room to not find Yang there. 'She said she was going shopping. I can only guess she found a good sale or ran into some one,' he thought as he started putting up the groceries he had bought. He brought up his PesterChum to see no messages.

Once Alex returned from the bed-rooms upstairs, He had been quick to put in the second movie so he could sit down with Yang again, snuggling back into his spot and pulling Yang close once more. As the movie progressed more and found itself within the Icy planet of Hoth, the two were now laid out on the couch, Yang in front, Alex behind her, both arms wrapped around the stomach. While the two were around the same height, Alex had Yang scooted down somewhat so he could see around her hair.

He chuckled a bit, holding Yang close as the movie continued on. Eh... Why not? Things in the movie were quiet for now. As Hoth often was... "You have really nice hair Yang~. Heh. It's no wonder you get angry when people try to touch or harm it. It's a very pretty yellow. Almost gold colored, in fact." Perhaps SLIGHTLY on the needlessly poetic side of things, but hey, corny could work.
