It had seemed like a fairly cut-and-dry mission, really. Go out, check on the strange portal, then return home in time to watch the Rose Parade with Jeanne on TV with mimosas. A rather good way to ring in the New Year, Bayonetta had figured...
Of course, she really supposed she should've seen this coming. Things with her were rarely ever simple. That said...
Well, it certainly wasn't the first time she'd been hurtling downwards through the sky. Nor, did she suspect, would it be the last.
No matter.
As the woman fell through the portal, the dress she was wearing got sliced due to her slipping through a few steel beams on a small construction site. Unfazed, the Umbra Witch grew her hair into her familiar bodysuit, spinning through the air.
She almost laughed, really. A little adventure here and there never hurt, after all. And, she figured, there may very well be Angels to hunt in this area, too.
As she approached the ground, she tucked her body in, flipping over once before coming to a skidding landing on the ground, legs nearly in a complete split, just a bit off the ground, crouched. A picture-perfect landing, as always.
Bayonetta slowly rose to her full height, brushing a bit of hair from her eyes and adjusting her glasses with a finger. "Now then... I do suppose I ought to figure out where exactly I am."

She barely even needed to walk a step before she found someone nearby. Standing before her, barely a third her height was a young child with tannish skin and short brown hair. Unlike most of their usual times however Frisk was now dressed up in a yellow shirt with an angel wing like design on the chest. Really it made sense. Their other shirt had been in tatters when they finally arrived at the hospital with Asgore in tow. The doctors were, frankly, ASTOUNDED that such a small child could carry such a massive creature to them for aid. However at Frisk's insistence, they took Asgore in to have a look at him...
As for Frisk themself? Well, they wanted to wait for Asgore but... By the time the fog lifted, Frisk had found themself in a massive city unlike anything they had seen before. Such a place was just begging to be explored!
So while Asgore recovered in the hospital, here Frisk was, walking away with a shirt and a new pair of pants given to them by some workers at the hospital upon seeing their sorry state of dress...
The child had JUST been passing by a construction zone when they saw the portal.
AND THE FLAMBOYANT PERSON THAT JUST HAPPENED TO COME OUT OF IT.
.........................
..................................
The two just exchange gazes a moment....
"............................... Okay...." ... YEAH... SEEEEEN IIIIIT....

.........
"...Yes?"
Bayonetta was no stranger to children, certainly. She wasn't exactly fond of them, per se, but her previous experienced had warmed her to the idea somewhat. Plus, this child didn't even seem fazed by what happened. That in and of itself was quite unusual.
And then there was the child's soul. Bayonetta had some experience with what souls were like, and this child... well, quite frankly, this child had the soul of a saint, practically. Quite unusual; they barely looked ten, if that.
"...Can I help you, child?"

Frisk tilted their head looking at the woman before them funny... They couldn't help a smile forming on their face, nostalgic memories already forming... Awww, they should really contact Mettaton sometime. It'd be worth it to try talking with Napstablook and Shyren again~... Still, that left them with the issue of their not working phone and the fact that they were right there looking at this woman.
"............... Maybe you can help me?"
Frisk asked, voice quiet and calm.
"I'm looking for some missing friends of mine........ Though... I guess you just got here yourself-." The child let out a breath... Still...
Undyne, Papyrus and Sans were tough ones, they could look after themselves.
And right now, childish curiosity beckoned.
"..... ..... I know someone who was good at looking that good." They said with a smile. "You kinda remind me of them. Their a neat performer...." That, naturally, led into another thoughtframe. "... Are you a performer too-?"

"Hmm... I might be able to, certainly." Bayonetta crouched down a bit, so she wasn't towering over Frisk. At their comment, the witch smiled a bit. "I don't really do the performing on stage thing, dearie. That said, I've been told I'm quite the dancer."
She stood up fully again, looking around the plaza where she seemed to have landed. "Hmm. This area seems somewhat like New York City... well, minus the odd bit of 'spacey' appearance way out in the sky. Then again, I suppose the occasional bit of smog looks rather similar."
"Ah. May I ask your name, child?"

Frisk looked up to the woman, taking her in and reading her expression... They had to admit, they were somewhat put off by the aura of self-confidence... And there was more to her aura that made her seem even more... Intimidating. But perhaps more intimidating in a more dangerous way. It was a feeling Frisk knew all too well, a feeling they understood... But a feeling they had never really immediately followed through on. The trans child smiled to her, holding out a hand.
"... My name's Frisk. It's nice to meet you."

The woman smirked slightly. "It's my pleasure, Frisk. My name is Cereza..." She took Frisk's hand and shook it gently. "But most folks call me Bayonetta. I don't really care which you prefer to call me. If I may ask, Frisk, where exactly is this?"

Frisk smiled and returned the handshake with gusto. It was always good to make new friends. "I think I'll stick with Bayonetta~. I can shorten it to Bayo~." Frisk answered honestly. It made sense to them anyways. Even if Cereza was a shorter option, it looked like Bayonetta preferred her current name a bit more to her previous one. And Frisk respected that...
Still her question caught his attention as the child looked around a second.... AFter a moment, they shrugged, head tilting slightly. "... Beats me... Me and my dad fell into some hole back home and we found ourselves here a second later... We were attacked by a pretty nasty monster and now dad's in the hospital. He's okay though."
Whatever the thought sounded like to Bayonetta, it made sense to Frisk. Asgore was a tough old goliath. Heck when Frisk last saw him, he was mostly healed after his encounter with Chara and was just resting off his... SURPRISING USAGE of DETERMINATION during the fight.
"Honestly... I was just walking around so I could figure that out myself." And walking around a big looking city like this all by themself? They were certainly a brave and assured child.

Bayonetta smiled a bit as Frisk shook her hand. Quite the spirited child, too, it seemed; she found that rather admirable. "Oh. It seems like this is a somewhat dangerous place, then. Hmm..." The black-haired woman put a hand to her chin. "So you and your dad arrived here through a portal of sorts, it sounds like. Is your mum here, too?"
This child had been walking around a dangerous place by themselves... that, Bayonetta felt, was quite gutsy. Based on the way they talked about their dad, he sounded quite sturdy to Bayonetta. Even reminded her a bit of her own father. "Well. It simply wouldn't do to let you go off on your own, given that. If you don't mind, I would like to accompany you."
The witch figured that if nothing else, besides keeping an eye on Frisk, she could learn more about the current situation by accompanying them.

Unnoticed by some and a mystery to others, a lone figure streaked high overhead across the Void City sky, glistening like a shooting star. During the day. The oddness spoke for itself.
Wow, this felt good. It seemed like an eternity since Elsa simply went out on a flight like this. Not only that, but she figured it was high time she checked out this fancy little world that Evan, Patrick, Toby and a bunch of her other friends had simply up and relocated to, apparently. Toby's return to the valley gave her the perfect vantage point to swoop in and check out the island for herself. She had just flown northwards from Giant's Lake, and thus far, what she saw passing by below her was nothing short of fascinating.
There had to be plenty of adventures awaiting her here!
SPUTTER
Elsa cringed and turned to look at her right jet band, which, sure enough, was flickering on and off in a desperate attempt to stay active and keep her afloat.
"Oh crap, not now, not now, not now!" She held her left hand directly beneath her as a means of balancing herself, though she knew she couldn't stay in the air like this. She'd have to find a place to land.
With her descent inevitable, she settled on a nearby construction zone, straightening out in midair and finally landing on her feet atop the framework of a new building. Once her jets had deactivated, Elsa removed her helmet and whipped her hair free, a move that just begged for a slow-mo shot as her silky locks and shimmering skin sparkled in the sunlight like diamonds. Then, poised on her perch with grace and attitude, Elsa whistled down to two figures below, a woman and a child.
"Hey down there!"

Pulling their hand back, Frisk smiled, holding their hands up to their face. "You would? Gee thanks. I would actually appreciate the company~." Not really because he needed any sort of protection or the some such. Frisk was good at looking after themself and would have likely befriended any threats that threatened them. Sure Chara's sudden reappearance was.... worrying. But judging by the Fog going missing in recent hours, it seemed like his influence had left... At least for the time being.
Whatever the case, a new friend traveling with them would be great.
"There has to be someone around here who can answer where we are. Let's go take a look around." Frisk had taken Bayonetta's hand and was about to guide her away-
Then the new person showed up, another young woman that Frisk didn't recognize. One that was FLYING, much to their apparent surprise and glee. "Whoooa!!! Heeeey!!!!" Frisk waved up to the woman, looking quite interested in the new arrival.

Bayonetta looked up at the whistle, and as she took in the newcomer, her posture adjusted a bit; the witch seemed to pose slightly on reflex, knuckles under her chin, back leg stretched back a bit.
"Well well. Who might we have here~?" She had a rather amused smirk as she looked upward.

Elsa jumped off the building, flipped in midair, and gracefully landed on her feet behind some construction equipment, hardly deterred by her eight-story descent. Upon touching down, she bounced back up, did a hand-spring off the top of a bulldozer, flipped and landed again, and finally dashed over to Frisk and Bayonetta, leaping to a halt in front of them like an overexcited child.
"Hiya! Name's Elsa!" She placed a hand on her hip as she cheerfully studied the two, certainly liking what she was seeing. "I'm new to these parts. Thought I'd do some exploring while I'm looking for my friends."

Frisk did the only thing they could think of to the rather masterful acrobatics at that point in time, applauding to them modestly, mouth slightly open in awe. "Whoooooa..." That was indeed quite the spectacle. Eventually the open mouth turned into a smile at the energetic nature of the new arrival. "Hello... It's good to meet you miss Elsa."

"Bayonetta." The witch smirked slightly. "Seems that you're in a similar boat as us. I got here only recently and have no real idea where exactly 'here' even is."
She stood up again, checking the guns she had at her side, then on her heels. All four pistols seemed to be in good shape. "Seems you're quite the showy one yourself, Elsa. I like it."
