Location: Angel Homerealm/Paradiso. Small numbers of rogues in human world, typically in Saia. Ancestral home pre-Undoing was throughout east Asia.
Lifespan: Technically immortal. Can only be killed by removal or total breakage of wings. Will only age past young adulthood if they have a child (aging speeds up with multiple children). Ageing halts if children die or are separated.
Average size: Comparable to average humans for Plasmises and Prasinoes, around 168 cm (5’6’’). Ferroes and Kovaltios average 230 cm (7’5’’). Less size variance between the sexes than with humans.
Gender ratio: 87.5% male, 12.5% female.
Prominent features: Lack of true ears, more developed muscles, wings on back, skin and wings tinged with blood hue, lack of breasts, nipples, and navels. Some (usually Prasinoes) possess markings.
General abilities: Biological immortality, shapeshifting, weapon generating, flight, enhanced strength and durability, regeneration from otherwise-fatal wounds if their wings are intact, and access to angel magic.
General weaknesses: Lifeforce concentrated in wings. Removal or severe breakage of wings is 100% fatal and will result in permanent death. Broken wings will weaken abilities. Injuries to the wings will be healed first, delaying recovery elsewhere. Angels with grown children will eventually die of old age-esque symptoms.
Naming theme: Bird names for first name, then mythology for last name. Lower-ranks are typically named after a kind of bird (Falcon, Wren, Jay, etc…), while higher ranks get named after individual birds (Bennu, Valravn, Caladrius, etc…). Last name is opposite-sex parent’s during childhood, to be replaced with the angel’s choice of a mythological figure relating to their element during adulthood.
Reproduction: Hatch from eggs. Adulthood attained at 100 years. Parent angels will transfer their energy into their child(ren) to create something hopefully stronger than they were.
Hierarchy
Ferro: Red blood. Lowest caste. Possess great physical strength at the price of weaker magic and flight. 30% of population. Least likely to have some kind of unique ability (5%)
Plasmis: Yellow blood. Middle class. Possess average strength and magical abilities. 60% of the population. 25% chance to have unique ability.
Prasino: Green blood. Noble caste. Are physically indistinguishable from Plasmises aside from wing and skin tinge. 10% of the population. Most likely to have a unique ability (50%)
Kovaltio: Blue blood. Royalty caste. Possess both great magical and physical prowess. Command the respect and fear of their species. Less than 1% of the population. 25% chance to have a unique ability.
Government
Angel Assembly: A gathering of 100 angels from the Plasmis, Prasino, and Kovaltio ranks. Pass preliminary laws for the council to vote on.
Council: The seven (currently six) most powerful Kovaltios of each element. Can veto anything the assembly passes and pass laws on their own. Current members are Bennu Gnowee (fire), Hansa Paricia (water), Aello Sidhe (wind), Gagana Fufluns (earth), Valravn Hectate (shadow), and Caladrius Ukko Serapis (light).
Serapis: A title bestowed upon the lead angel on the council, marking them as king or queen. Currently held by Caladrius Ukko.
Structure of Homerealm/Paradiso
(NOTE: Homerealm is used by angels; humans and demons use Paradiso)
Area A: Lunaris. A dark area lit by crystals. Considered the slums of Paradiso. Has an unusually high percentage of shadow elementals.
Area B: Aeroaid. A particularly bright place, the only spot in Paradiso to get consistent sunlight. Has the highest average temperature.
Area C: Hesperus. A lush and luxurious high-rise area. Due to its amazing panoramas, it is often used as a honeymoon spot.
Area D: Solars. A well-lit zone that takes advantage of its constant lava flows to generate energy for Paradiso. Most universities are in this area.
Area E: Enyalios. A harsh and forbodding area where everything, down to the local wildlife, is hostile to angel life. Used more as a training ground than as actual living space.
Area F: Lucetius. The capital zone. Holds the council and assembly, as well as the largest population.
Area G: Kronos. A sparcely populated region used as a getaway for scholars and philosophers.
Area H: Caslux. The smallest area, used as the home of the Serapis.
Area I: Empyrea (CLASSIFIED)
