Location: Worldwide (Purgatorio)
Lifespan: About a decade or two longer than the average human in their part of the world.
Average size: Slightly smaller than a normal human.
Prominent features: Striking hair and/or eye colours. Facial markings.
General abilities: The ability to command the four key elements of nature (fire, water, wind, earth), some possess other abilities such as healing hands or clairvoyance. Also have an anomaly that causes all text written about them to be re-written from their point of view.
General weaknesses: Physically weaker than average human. Weak to the element that their preferred element is weak against.
Naming theme: Same as a normal human’s.
Reproduction: Same as normal human’s. Magical children almost always (99%) have a demon in their family tree somewhere. Children of a magical human and a normal human have a 50% chance to be magical; 100% if both parents are magic; 1% if neither is.
Elements
Fire/Fotias: Absorbs wind to grow, and is smothered by earth. Pyrokinesis and heat control.
Water/Nerosis: Erodes earth, and is blown away by wind. Hydrokinesis, including ice and steam.
Wind/Anemo: Blows away water, and is absorbed by fire. Wind control.
Earth/Gias: Smothers fire, and is weathered by water. Gaiakinesis, ranging from earthquakes to plant control.
Light/Elatra: Light-based powers. Can bend light to create illusions and focus all light sources for an attack. Strong against the four common elements.
Shadow/Skia: Umbrakinesis. Can manipulate shadows, and even travel through them. Turning on the light when fighting one is actually an incredibly stupid idea. In angels, this element occurs mostly in females. Strong against the four common elements.
Divine/Theikos: Control over all six elements. Most angels and demons born with this element die simply because it's too much power for them to handle.
Note: Angels use second term to describe elements. Demons and humans use the normal names. Angels and demons control one element; magic humans can control fire, water, wind, and earth to varying degrees.
Angel, demon, and human magic
In short, "If I can will it, I can do it"
Angel magic is rooted more in faith in the unknown and is more defensive/support-based, while demon magic is rooted more in what is known and is more offensive.
Humans can learn spells from both species equally, provided they are magical to begin with.
