"Well, that's good to hear, buddy!" Ace smiled at Kendall, then resumed eating.
"Yeah, definitely!" Swift leaned her head against Evan's arm. "It'll be good to have some time to ourselves... spending Christmas without worry."

"It sure will..." Evan murmured sweetly, gently hugging Swift before returning to his dinner.
Lagola meekly looked up at Kendall. "S-So... What's Christmas?"
"Well, in terms of cultural significance, it's quite similar to your 12th Perigee's Eve," Kendall explained. "It's a time to celebrate the birth of my Lord's son, give gifts, spend time with family, and spread good will to those you care about or who simply need love and support."
"Aww... That's sweet."
"It is the most wonderful time of year," Jen mused. "You'll love it. We'll have a great time together."
"Th-Thank you..."
"Say..." Darien spoke up. "Did anyone see where that bloody sprite went off to?"
"Oh, Beebo?" Evan chuckled and looked around, only now noticed that Brendon had in fact vanished. "I think I have a good idea."

"Yeah! This Christmas is gonna be the best! Or else!" Ace cheered.
"Oh-ho-hooo man," Swift snickered. She too could easily guess what Brendon was up to. For now, though...
She finished off her dinner and declared, "Welp! Off I go! Enjoy the show, folks!" She then kissed Evan on the cheek and scurried up to the stage.

Evan chuckled and grinned back at her. "Have fun, you!"
"Aw man, this gon' be good!" Patrick laughed.
Jen smiled at her brother. Evan smiled back. It was so great to see Swift happy again.

"Ready to be flipped!" Ace teased as she watched Swift make her way up front.
Swift smiled at them from the sidelines, then made her request and leaped onto the stage. It felt weird being in the limelight again... but there was no sense of hesitation. She was going to enjoy this. And with any luck, so was Evan.
She calmly approached the microphone, gently swaying to the rhythm. Starting out slow, building up energy...
"Do you recall, not long ago We would walk on the sidewalk Innocent, remember? All we did was care for each other
"But the night was warm We were bold and young All around the wind blows We would only hold on to let go"
She started to bounce slightly, nodding to and pointing at her gang.
"Blow a kiss, fire a gun We need someone to lean on Blow a kiss, fire a gun All we need is somebody to lean on
"Blow a kiss, fire a gun We need someone to lean on Blow a kiss, fire a gun All we need is somebody to lean on"
Then, when the instrumental break kicked in, Swift started to dance and jive around the stage, hips moving, hands in the air. It was perhaps the dorkiest display ever, and she knew it. But dang it if she wasn't having fun. She grabbed the microphone and picked back up...
"What will we do when we get old? Will we walk down the same road? Will you be there by my side? Standing strong as the waves roll over
"When the nights are long Longing for you to come home All around the wind blows We would only hold on to let go"
She bounced in place again...
"Blow a kiss, fire a gun We need someone to lean on Blow a kiss, fire a gun All we need is somebody to lean on
"Blow a kiss, fire a gun We need someone to lean on Blow a kiss, fire a gun All we need is somebody to lean on"
And then she danced again, bobbing her shoulders and shuffling back and forth.
"All we need is somebody to lean on"
Leaning from left to right and back again, she looked up to see Evan's amused reaction.
"All we need is somebody to lean on"
The music briefly died down, building back up...
And then the solo began and Swift let loose. Arms up and down, legs criss-crossing... She ducked then leaped up and spun around... She did a less-than-impressive moonwalk back, then bunny-hopped back to center stage...
"HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!"
Diving down, then jumping back up... bobbing left to right... freezing up and doing the robot... shuffling four steps to the right and whipping her hair, then back to the left and swerving in place.
"HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!"
And all the while, it was so hard for Swift not to laugh at herself. God, she was so weird.
"Blow a kiss, fire a gun We need someone to lean on Blow a kiss, fire a gun All we need is somebody to lean on
"Blow a kiss, fire a gun We need someone to lean on Blow a kiss, fire a gun All we need is somebody to lean on
"Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-ohhh..."
The music went silent. Swift threw her arms up and walked backwards off stage. Perfect.

Evan was smiling so hard that his face was nearly hurting all the way through the performance. Swift was being so freaking adorable up there, it was hard not to get sucked in and laugh along with her. Her energy, perkiness and pure intent of amusing her audience really was something to be admired, and Evan was loving every second of it.
"Whoo! Bravo!"
"Well, that was certainly something."
"YEAH-HEH! ENCORE!"
Just as the song ended, Evan rushed up to the stage to meet Swift as she made her exit and give her a big hug. "Ha haaa! I loved it! You were great babe! Now... it's my turn!"

"Whoo!" Ace applauded with the others. "Not bad, smalls! Not bad at all!"
Swift giggled and hugged him back. "Thanks! That was a blast!" She then pulled away and playfully shoved Evan towards the stage before heading back to the table. "Now get on up there and show me what you can do!"

"You got it." Evan winked at her and went to place his request. He had to sigh with relief when he was informed that he could indeed to two in a row. Everything was going according to plan.
He then stepped onto the stage, took a deep breath and braced himself. This was why he was here...
"Lately I been, I been losing sleep Dreaming about the things that we could be But baby I been, I been praying hard Said no more counting dollars, we'll be counting stars Yeah, we'll be counting stars..."
This one went out to his friends and family, those who were with him and those worlds away. To his beloved Swift, who he hoped to have by his side for the rest of his days. To all of the brave souls who had sacrificed so much, come so far, and were now embarking on this spectacular journey with him.
"I see this life like a swinging vine Swing my heart across the line In my face is flashing signs Seek it out and ye shall find
"Old, but I'm not that old Young, but I'm not that bold And I don't think the world is sold I'm just doing what we're told
"And I-I-I-I-I-I feel something so right doing the wrong thing And I-I-I-I-I-I feel something so wrong doing the right thing I could lie, could lie, could lie Everything that kills me makes me feel alive"
Never had those words meant so much to him...
"Lately I been, I been losing sleep Dreaming about the things that we could be But baby I been, I been praying hard Said no more counting dollars, we'll be counting stars
"Lately I been, I been losing sleep Dreaming about the things that we could be But baby I been, I been praying hard Said no more counting dollars, we'll be, we'll be counting stars"
There was no more doubt in his mind. Everything was already turning out for the best. Everything was going to be alright.
"I feel the love and I feel it burn Down this river every turn Hope is a four letter word Make that money, watch it burn
"Old, but I'm not that old Young, but I'm not that bold And I don't think the world is sold I'm just doing what we're told
"And I-I-I-I-I-I feel something so wrong doing the right thing I could lie, could lie, could lie Everything that drowns me makes me wanna fly"
The joy and excitement welling up inside him led Evan to bounce in place.
He tapped his foot. He bobbed his head. He felt nothing but pure, untainted hope.
"Take that money, watch it burn, sink in the river, the lessons I learned Take that money, watch it burn, sink in the river, the lessons I learned Take that money, watch it burn, sink in the river, the lessons I learned Take that money, watch it burn, sink in the river, the lessons I learned
"Everything that kills me..."
Evan smiled at Swift, as if speaking directly to her, ensuring her that his hope was back and there to stay.
"...makes me feel alive
"Lately I been, I been losing sleep Dreaming about the things that we could be But baby I been, I been praying hard Said no more counting dollars, we'll be counting stars
"Lately I been, I been losing sleep Dreaming about the things that we could be But baby I been, I been praying hard Said no more counting dollars, we'll be, we'll be counting stars"
By now, as if infected by the joy he felt and poured into his song, the entire karaoke bar was clapping along with him.
"Take that money, watch it burn, sink in the river, the lessons I learned Take that money, watch it burn, sink in the river, the lessons I learned Take that money, watch it burn, sink in the river, the lessons I learned Take that money, watch it burn, sink in the river, the lessons I learned"
The music stopped. The crowd cheered. Evan's group was enthralled.
"Yeah, way to go!"
"WHOO! AWESOME! SO COMPLETELY AWESOME!!"
"Brilliant!"
"Well done, Evan!"
"...Yay!"
Evan smiled and raised a hand to the audience, grateful for the positive feedback. Then he waved to his beloved and said, "Hey Swift, get back up here!"

"YEAH-HA-HA! Nice!"
Swift was applauding wildly, whistling, cheering, laughing. Evan was just so lively, so happy... so hopeful. Sure, they both knew that what he was getting himself into was risky... but it didn't matter. They were strong enough to get through it together, and they both knew it. Swift understood that now more than ever.
She was rather shocked when Evan called her back on stage. "Oh! Haha!" She wasn't sure what this was about, but she went along with it, running back up, joining Evan at center stage and grabbing a second microphone. "Spontaneous duet, Evan, dear?"

(Swift and my parts will be combined into one post for the sake of time and space. This is done in mutual agreement.)
"Would you have expected anything else?"
Oh yeah! A classic!
Evan shot Swift a sly grin as he swayed to the beat, getting her to smile back and move in sync.
"Listen baby Ain't no mountain high Ain't no valley low Ain't no river wide enough, baby"
"If you need me, call me No matter where you are No matter how far"
"Don't worry baby"
"Just call my name I'll be there in a hurry You don't have to worry"
And together, the Rogue of Hope and the Miko of Rage serenaded...
"'Cause baby there ain't no mountain high enough Ain't no valley low enough Ain't no river wide enough To keep me from getting to you, babe"
"Remember the day I set you free I told you you could always count on me From that day on I made a vow I'll be there when you want me, some way, some how"
"'Cause baby there ain't no mountain high enough Ain't no valley low enough Ain't no river wide enough To keep me from getting to you, babe"
"Oh no darlin'"
"No wind, no rain Or winter's cold can stop me baby"
"No no baby"
"'Cause you are my goal"
"If you're ever in trouble I'll be there on the double Just send for me, oh baby"
"My love is alive Way down in my heart Although we are miles apart"
"If you ever need a helping hand I'll be there on the double As fast as I can Don't you know that there
"Ain't no mountain high enough Ain't no valley low enough Ain't no river wide enough"
"To keep me from getting to you, babe Don't you know that there"
"Ain't no mountain high enough Ain't no valley low enough Ain't no river wide enough Ain't no mountain high enough Ain't no valley low enough Ain't no river wide enough"
As the music faded out and the crowd went wild, Evan swept Swift off her feet, leaned over her and kissed her for all to see, garnering cheers and whistles all throughout.

Swift reached up to fully return the kiss, losing herself in Evan's embrace, wrapping her arms around him, running her finger through his hair... When they finally pulled away, she blushed and stared into his deep brown eyes, feeling safe, warm and loved. The guy really knew how to give her a good time.
That was... so enthralling. So passionate. She never wanted to lose that feeling.

Evan stared lovingly into Swift's sparkling amber pools. He really was having the time of his life, and there was no one he would've rather spent it with, no one who would've willingly embraced his childlike hope and undeniable nerdiness as much as her. She gave him hope. He wanted to believe he was giving it back to her.
He straightened the both of them up so they could bow to the audience before walking off together. Hand in hand, they returned to their group and sat back down.
"Aww, you guys, that was adorable!" Jen crooned.
"Heheh... Thanks, sis," Evan chuckled.
"That was so friggin' awesome!" Patrick cheered. "I loved it! That was like... the bomb dot com!"
Even Lagola had to giggle at how sweet the moment was. "R-Really great job, guys! It looked like you were really having fun."

"Awww... You guys are so lucky..." Ace giggled before holding up her phone. "...that I recorded all of that. We must treasure these precious moments."
Swift snickered at Ace, then nodded to Jen and Lagola. "It sure was fun! Thanks!" She leaned over and snuggled Evan. "You're crazy, you know that? And I love it."

"Hey, no crazier than you are!" Evan teased, ruffling Swift's ears. "But dang it if it isn't adorable..."
Kendall chuckled a little. "Very well done, you two. Now... if you don't mind, Lagola and I are going to step out for a bit. Take a break from the noise, walk around on our own."
"Oh yeah! No problem! You two go enjoy yourselves!"
"Thank you." Kendall nodded to the group. Lagola smiled and waved shyly. Then the two got up and politely took their leave.
"It's nice to see him so content..." Jen mused. "I think looking after Lagola will be good for him!"
"I'll say..." Evan agreed, his attention returning to the stage when a new song began. Strange... No one had stepped up to sing...
It sounded like... "Rock Lobster." But... it was different somehow...
"Alright, alright..."
Wait... that voice!
"Alright, alright..."
Could it be...?!
All of a sudden, Brendonsprite flew onto the stage, microphone in hand, and started ROCKING OUT.
"Alright, alright! It's a hell of a feeling though! It's a hell of a feeling though! Alright, alright! It's a hell of a feeling though! It's a hell of a feeling though!"
He flopped over and lay down on the stage, hand on his forehead in an overdramatic pose.
"Who are these people? I just woke up in my underwear No liquor left on the shelf I should probably introduce myself"
He floated back up, drifting in lazy circles above the stage.
"You shoulda seen what I wore I had a cane and a party hat I was the king of this hologram Where there's no such thing as getting out of hand"
Then he flew down into the crowd, going from table to table to sing directly to the diners.
"Memories tend to just pop up Drunk pre-meds and some rubber gloves Five-thousand people with designer drugs Don't think I'll ever get enough"
Evan was dumbfounded in the best possible way. Mesmerized by the performance he was getting, he threw caution to the wind, raised his beer glass, tilted it back and lost himself in this great feeling.
"Champagne, cocaine, gasoline And most things in between I roam the city in a shopping cart A pack of Camels and a smoke alarm This night is heating up Raise hell and turn it up Saying if you go out you might pass out in a drain pipe Oh yeah, DON'T THREATEN ME WITH A GOOD TIME!
"It's a hell of a feeling though! It's a hell of a feeling though! Alright, alright! It's a hell of a feeling though! It's a hell of a feeling though!"
Brendon sat back down on the stage, staring at his ghostly tail with his head in his hand.
"What are these footprints? They don't look very human like Now I wish that I could find my clothes Bed sheets and a morning rose"
He floated up again and did lazy loop-de-loops, awkward and sloppy, as if he really was intoxicated.
"I wanna wake up Can't even tell if this is a dream How did we end up in my neighbor's pool Upside down with a perfect view?"
He then darted down to the Summer Snow gang, dancing around each of them and ending it with a noogie for the rogue.
"Bar to bar at the speed of sound Fancy feet dancing through this town Lost my mind in a wedding gown Don't think I'll ever get it now"
While the crowd-goers danced and partied, Brendon shot back up and circled the room, twirling, zig-zagging, just giving them a great show.
"Champagne, cocaine, gasoline And most things in between I roam the city in a shopping cart A pack of Camels and a smoke alarm This night is heating up Raise hell and turn it up Saying if you go out you might pass out in a drain pipe Oh yeah, DON'T THREATEN ME WITH A GOOD TIME!"
As if taking the nod from Brendon as encouragement, Evan stood up on his chair and wildly played air guitar on the following solo. He didn't even care how ridiculous he looked shredding nothing with his tongue hanging out. He was having a blast. He had every right to. All the while, Brendon took the stage again, holding onto the microphone stand with a faux heavy head.
"I'm a scholar and a gentleman And I usually don't fall when I try to stand I lost a bet to a guy in a chiffon skirt But I make these high heels work"
He shrugged at his lack of feet, then flew up, bobbing over the audience like a ship on the ocean.
"I've told you time and time again I'm not as think as you drunk I am And we all fell down when the sun came up I think we've had enough"
He flew down and phased through the floor, reappearing on stage with, oddly enough, the lamp that Wendy and Laura had made for Evan, already plugged into who knows where.
"Alright, alright! It's a hell of a feeling though! It's a hell of a feeling though! Alright, alright! It's a hell of a feeling though! It's a hell of a feeling though!"
Rainbow lights danced across the room as the patrons partied, the Summer Snow gang danced without a care, and Brendon flew another energetic lap around the bar.
"Champagne, cocaine, gasoline And most things in between I roam the city in a shopping cart A pack of Camels and a smoke alarm This night is heating up Raise hell and turn it up Saying if you go out you might pass out in a drain pipe Oh yeah, DON'T THREATEN ME WITH A GOOD TIME!!!!"
The crowd went wild once again. Evan plopped back into his seat, clapping and laughing hysterically. Brendon blew a kiss to the audience before flying through a wall and vanishing.

"WHOA-HA-HA-HAAA!" Swift was completely blown away by the performance, bouncing in her seat and shaking Evan's arm. Holy crap, they had just watched Brendon Urie sing! "THAT WAS THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!"
"Now THAT was something!" Ace laughed, jabbing a thumb towards where Brendon was last see. "That freakin' guy...!"
