Lagola nodded timidly and stepped up to Sirion, shakily reaching up and climbing onto his back. She was liking where this was going less and less by the minute. She wasn't exactly comfortable being carried, but flying was something she tried to avoid altogether. "Just, uh... Just t-take it slow and steady, okay? I-I don't really-"

As soon as Lagola was secure on his back, as if he hadn't even heard her, Sirion charged towards the metal platform's edge and jumped off, his hover skates activating in midair and sending the duo blazing above the waters at blinding speed.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" Lagola's arms tightly wrapped around Sirion's neck, her grip dangerously close to strangulation as she desperately held on for dear life. "NO NO NO NO SLOW DOWN SLOW DOWN PLEASE SLOW DOOOOWN!!!!"

Sirion simply cringed from the initial shriek but otherwise ignored Lagola's pleads. He figured she'd react this way, but he had no intent of slowing down. He wanted to get on with it.
After flying over the water and metal architecture for a good three minutes, tuning out Lagola's shrill voice all the while, Sirion approached a large tower, atop which rested a red, vaguely cocoon-like structure with a glowing red time symbol floating above it. He hovered up to it and dropped down inside it through the opening at the top of the dome, landing feet-first on a circular stone slab that was also adorned with the time symbol.
"Alright. Get off. We're doing this, runt. We're making this happen."

Lagola whimpered, shaking in her attempts to pry her rigid body off of Sirion's. Eventually (and I do mean eventually) she let go of him and plopped onto her feet, taking another moment to regain her composure and observe her surroundings.
This place was... quite spacious, to be honest. Very cold and foreboding compared to the coziness a cocoon was meant to have. Lagola quickly decided that she didn't like it in here. Not only was it wholly uninviting, but the atmosphere she was detecting was that of grandiose purpose, one that she was not exactly willing to involve herself in.
Then again... she did just willingly let Sirion drag her here...
"Um..." She looked down at the stone slab they were standing on, taking note of the time symbol engraved into its surface. "So... I'm just supposed to... go to sleep on this thing?"

"Yep. Nothin' to it." Sirion jumped off the slab and leaned against the stone wall, folding his arms and frowning expectantly at Lagola. "So hurry up and... do whatcha gotta do to pass out."

"Well... Okay..." Lagola hesitantly lay down on the stone slab, flat on her back, staring forlornly at the opening at the top of the cocoon and the red light of the time symbol shining through it. She had no idea how she was expected to fall asleep on this thing. It was too hard and cold. There was no way she could get comfortable. Besides, she wasn't even tired.
However, she tried her best not to complain about that and instead brought up another point. "So... This is how Aquila and Orcana achieved god tier? They just... fell asleep in a weird cocoon like this?"

"Yeah. More or less." Sirion shrugged, obviously in no mood to discuss such trivial matters. "Now shut your ignorance tunnel and go the f*** to sleep."

Lagola's frown widened with concern, easily sensing that there was something Sirion wasn't telling her. "W-Well... Th-There's gotta be more to it than that, right? Like, uh... L-Like I said, they were probably higher on their echeladders than me. A-And... I-I dunno, this just feels so... forced! Like we're trying to ch... cheat the game or something!"

"This game cheats us!" Sirion bluntly retorted. "If it's not gonna play fair, why the hell should we?! I told you how god tiering works! All that matters is you sleep on this rock and boom! Full power Rogue of Time! Nothin' else to it! Now stop worrying about minute f***ing details and sleep already!"

After a hard gulp, Lagola rolled onto her side, facing away from Sirion, trembling with fear but opting not to question him any further. It wasn't going to help matters at this point. "O... Okay... I'll try."
She then closed her eyes and did her best to tune the world out and relax. It wasn't easy, as this wasn't exactly the most relaxing environment. She simply lay there in a shivering ball for a minute or so, knowing deep down that between the jolts of her rapidly pounding heart and, once again, the lack of comfort this stone slab offered, she wasn't going to be falling asleep anytime soon. Furthermore...
"I... I can feel your eyes on me, Sirion. I-I can't sleep with you... w-watching me..."

Sirion groaned, rolled his eyes and turned around, staying rooted in his spot with his arms folded and his scowl trained on the wall. He should've known the brat would be stubborn, but he had been tolerant of it simply because he wanted to cause the least amount of fuss. Now he was just irritated. If she wasn't going to make an effort to fall asleep on her own accord...
Well... Give it a moment.
"There. I'm not looking. Better?"

"Kind of... I guess..." Lagola murmured, staring at the wall and doing her best to relax her muscles. No position she laid in made this any easier, and even if Sirion claimed he wasn't looking –though she wasn't sure if she could take that claim at face value– the fact that he was there at all, invading her privacy while she was in such a vulnerable state, still kept her on edge.
"M... Maybe you can... j-just go now. I mean... I'm here... where you need me to be. I-If all I have to do is fall asleep, you... I-I don't really need your help with anything else... d-do I...?"

"Look, at this point, I'm just here to make sure this s*** works," Sirion grumbled, the bile in his voice making it clear that he was near wit's end. "All those dumb questions you asked is stuff I already took into account. I'm dealing with the technicals. I'm seeing this through. You just worry about keeping your eyes closed, your mouth shut, and your brain off. Capiche?"

"Well, okay, I guess that makes sense...!" Now Lagola was clearly starting to get scared. Sirion taking this whole ordeal as seriously as he was wasn't particularly shocking; she wouldn't have expected less from the indigo blood. What bothered her was that there were clearly risks involved that Sirion either didn't care about or was outright refusing to elaborate on. Lagola wanted to know what she was getting herself into, and the less she knew, the less she wanted to try this half-baked attempt at tiering.
"B-But... what if it doesn't work?! Then what?! D-Do we just come back and try again later? I... I don't think this is a good idea...! I-If this is just about me not having the proper skills... th-there's gotta be a better way to fix that! I-If we practice a little, try to get me on a higher level at a more normal pace...!"
