The witch in blue smiled, landing on top of a building as she concentrated. "Artificial mana, like metal and electricity are more common here," she smirked, the ring on her finger glowing. A massive, growling beast with glowing circuits was born from her power, the metallic monster sparking with anticipation as it looked down at the world from the building. "Aim for the nap of the neck- and be as bright as you can be. Those shadow things hate light," she smiled, the beast stomping off the roof and jumping down into the city below. It landed close to Nora, giving an eager roar before charging toward the Praet'nos- its Owner took off toward the flames, splashing as much water as she could on the burning buildings.
"COOL! The witch woman can make a robot!" Nora smiled, taking a moment to peg another beast right in the neck. Stray shots from the fight pegged the occasional building, one shot hitting the roof of a large office in just the right way to blow the corner of the building plumb off. While the debris fell away from most of the combatants, a small, silver orb fell among the metal and concrete.
The tiny creature helplessly bounced around after getting flung from the shadow monster's grip, happily cheering at the kind of tanned blond before shrieking at the massive KWUNK left by the orb. She looked at it, meekly approaching while staring at everyone, hoping nothing would assault her. Getting close to it, the sprite(?) began to drool, gripping it in her hands.
The very next instant, the silver orb was stuffed into her mouth, getting swallowed whole before she burped. The sphere began glowing in her stomach, the silver light having an almost natural pulse.

"Hey, Aquamarine! Save some for me!"
A loud voice rang through the area as what looked like a green-skinned woman wearing a red bodysuit landed in the fray, drawing a rapier from the gem inset in her right hand. With a slightly crazed look in her eyes, Bloodstone licked the flat of the blade, eyeing over the monsters.
"Hehehe... This ought to be fun. C'mon! Let's dance!"
As the shadowy creatures attacked, Bloodstone began swiftly moving, parrying and counterstriking. "Hell yeah, now this is a fight!"

The burst of light blew the shadows away, effectively sweeping Choleric away along with them. As soon as he was released, Toby sucked in a giant gasp of air. For a split second, his eyes were solid green; he quickly closed them when the bright glow burned his corneas, and when he slowly blinked them open again, they were human once more.
"Th-Thanks... He's- BEHIND YOU!" Toby barely had time to react before Choleric rushed at Carol again, arms outstretched, surrounded practically by a tidal wave of shadows. Carol struck him with another blast of light mere inches away from his claws, and the subsequent hook pushed him back into the darkness where he harmlessly dissolved into pure shadow again.
After anxiously scrambling to his feet, Toby murmured just barely loud enough for Carol to hear, "Light will hold him off, but no hit will be hard enough to stop him. You've gotta st-"
On another jet stream of darkness, Choleric threw himself at Carol from above. When she threw two fistfuls of energy at him, Choleric dissolved in sync, the shadows of his body swerving around the light, reforming on the other side and instantly smashing a massive fist into Toby. The boy was thrown back against a wall with a painfully audible crash, subsequently falling back to the ground and tumbling a good two or three feet. As soon as Carol illuminated the alley, Choleric whipped around and slammed her aside, then he immediately sunk back into whatever shadows remained before the painful rays could get to him.
Toby groaned and rubbed the small of his back, taking a moment to observe the situation. The lack of shadows would no doubt hinder Choleric. Then again, Toby could say the same for himself, and unlike Choleric, he didn't have a secondary element to fall back on. Once he had shakily stood up again, Toby looked behind him to see that he at least had his own shadow, raising it up off the ground and preparing to project wherever he detected the first twitch.
"The neck..." Toby mumbled breathlessly. "Aim for the n-ACK!"
He leaped away from an incoming fireball, stumbling slightly before commanding his shadow to strike the darkness where the fire had been thrown from. Not a moment later, Choleric took hold of the shadow, yanking it and the boy it was attached to his way and earning a yelp from Toby as he was dragged feet-first into the darkness. The subsequent hit from the general sent Toby flying in a high arc above the fiery buildings.

"Chrys!!" Aether watched as new fighters arrived, each reinforcement bringing her more and more relief. Eventually, though, she noticed that one of them seemed to have assisted her partner while she wasn't looking, finding her floating haplessly in a sort of anti-gravity field. "A-Andromeda?!"
Just before she reached the armor-clad rider, Aether changed course and dashed over to the Peaceful Warrior. "Oh goodness, I'm sorry! W-What happened?!"
Even if she could talk, Andromeda would've been at a loss for words. All she could do was shrug and shake her head, utterly baffled, then point to the woman that had pulled her out of the shadows.
"I-It's good that so many people are here to help... and Chrys seems to be doing an adequate job at extinguishing the fire... I just wish there was a way we could help. If only I could regain some starlight energy..."
Andromeda nodded, worried yet curious. Maybe her new friend could help them. ...Once she decided to let her down.

Carol had managed to push herself and had heard Toby say outloud something about 'the neck and how she had to aim for it'... Well... the neck was a natural weakspot on the human body under normal circumstances... But it was so much so that usually aiming for it was considered a dirty trick... Still what options did she have? This guy was moving circles around her and using the shadows to ninja around her sheer brute strength and energy projection. It made sense to change things around...
Besides, her little KO likely needed help being out there this long! She needed to move this along.
"The neck eh~?"
She rolled onto her back, then into a ball before springing to her feet.
It was clear this guy could rush circles around her... So maybe it was time to fight smarter, not harder.
She stood absolutely still, her energy still lighting some of the alleyway and limiting tactical vantage points. The woman closed her eyes and waited for the first move, listening carefully... Carefully... Feeling for energy. For the slightest movement...
And when she felt it? Well-
------------------------
Prishe watched in wide-eyed awe as the three mysterious women that had suddenly appeared went to work, the big red one slamming through various opponents with such ease, grace and finesse that it was almost terrifying. The much darker red one, to a point where she almost seemed black-skinned, rapidly sliced through the Praet-nos with rapid fire Rapier strikes, often times hitting the nape of the neck multiple times before the shadows could dissipate-
Then there was the blue one...
"WAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOO~~~~~~~!!!!!" Whom was SLICING OFF HEADS AROUND THE NAPES OF THE NECK... AND LOOKING LIKE SHE WAS ENJOYING IT SLIGHTLY TOO MUCH... "Now THIS is a rip-roarer~!!! Almost reminds me of the trainin' holograms back home~!!!" Her point was not lost on the other two as she sliced through another enemy then used the other Naginata to pole-vault over another enemy, thrusting through the nape as she came back down. If Garnet was doing her beat down with club style dancing, then this chick was doing it while dancing with two long swords, twirling the blades around with skill and finesse one second, before viciously ripping the ribbon like weapons through her enemies the next- "Hey gal watch it!!!" The slight Cockney caught Prishe's attention-
BEFORE THE WEAPON FROM THE BLUE ONE'S HAND EMBEDDED ITSELF IN THE NAPE OF A PRAETNOS THAT HAD BEEN SNEAKING UP BEHIND HER. "'Member girly! Yer still in this fight too!!" The grin was definitely not one to forget. "Hey toss me back my weapon!" Prishe's eyes wandered-
THEN SHE KICKED THE NAGINATA BACK AT FAST SPEEDS. A thoroughly surprised Aquamarine couldn't catch it in time-
However it was likely good that she didn't. Cause Prishe had kicked the naginata into a Praenos monster she had all but missed entirely.
"You too!!!" Prishe called back with a grin. "There's your weapon!!"
And with that, the Elvaan was back into the fray, fending off foes with relative ease, blasting back some temporarily, others, with more precision, more permanently. Aquamarine couldn't help but grin as she yanked free her Naginata from the cement. "Thanks!!!"
"WOOOOOOW~!!!!!" KO was positively STAR-STRUCK at the show meanwhile, now watching with absolute awe as the gems, Prishe, Beth, Chrys and the others continued laying into their opponents. "THIS IS SO COOL~!!!!"
As for the gravity manipulator, she smiled at the sight of the little creature bouncing up and down, and looked curious as it ate a mysterious silver sphere.... Then the glowing occurred and the yellow eyed girl's eyebrows raised in both surprise and confusion.

Garnet has as of yet been unresponsive to anything but her adversaries. They go down with effortless, fluid grace, slammed into their own demises. Certainly, the other fighters do their part, but... Something about her just seems to stick out. She's synchronized. She's impeccable. She's -
"EVEYRONE! GET AWAY FROM THE SPRITE! NOW!!!"
Her voice is loud. Sharp, accented in a way that makes it extremely difficult to ignore. She commands with authority, then darts away from Devi's location, kicking and punching numerous enemies towards her in the process.

Chrys looked over to Garner and then to Devi. She quickly backed off.
"On it!" The masked fencer shouted as crystal armor covered her arms once more.

Just as Garnet said her warning, the small being gave an other-worldly glow, the small creature stretching and shifting into a more human shape. Her hair formed into a professional short hairdo, her scarf unwrapping from her neck and shape shifting just as she did, wrapping around her as a tight suit of sorts. A holographic cube formed around her, her eyes opening to reveal a reflective, mirror like surface.
Inside the cube, several projections covered her form, switching between each-other the same way a costume switch would occur in a videogame- A simplistic metal suit, chain mail, medieval armor, bullet based armor and weaponry, and even a large, very futuristic suit of armor all appeared in the cube, before stopping on that final appearance. From the bottom up, the hologram became replaced with a far more real version of the armor she'd been surrounded with, featuring massive arms, jets in the back, and even a neat visor appearing with her helmet. With the suit made, she fell to the ground, leaving small craters in the street from her heavy form.
Welcome back, your highness, a voice within the helmet greeted, the woman's eyes returning to normal as she scanned the environment. Nora stared in shock, the Blue witch up above giving an impressed whistle at the feat. "Looks like I ate something pretty important," the woman smirked, her voice giving the feeling of a war general. "Alright, which of you dunderheads goes FIRST?!" With a hoard of the shadow monsters being sent toward her, the suit's giant left hand seamlessly shifted into a sword, lopping off three of the Praet'nos's heads with a single swing.
Nora laughed out loud, charging for a Prat'nos in sheer excitement. "We got a cool new ally!!!"

Bloodstone had pulled Aquamarine back away from the sprite as she began transforming... she blinked, grinning. "Wow. That's a pretty impressive transformation. ...Heh, these shadow things don't seem to know when to quit. Aquamarine, you think we should... give them a bigger reason to give up?"
She playfully jabbed her friend's side, as if hinting...

Shadows stretched forth beneath Carol's feet, from which erupted a stream of hellfire. The shadows were quickly dispersed, unable to sustain themselves in the light, but the flames continued to rain down upon her in great, blazing balls of fire.
"I have to say..." Choleric stated, his voice seemingly echoing from all directions. "It's been a while since I've had a decent fight. For that, I commend you."
When the firestorm ceased, a rogue shadow ensnared Carol's.
"We could use more like you."
----------
For a few seconds, Toby was completely dazed, disoriented from Choleric's crushing blow. Thankfully, the moment he realized he was in freefall, he reached down and pulled the shadows beneath him his way, the black tendrils effectively cushioning his landing. As soon as he had caught himself, though, the darkness tightened its grip on him, and soon enough he found himself surrounded by four Præt'nos.
A startled squeak erupted from Toby's throat, snapping him out of his trance and prompting him to rip the shadows off and swing them at the demons in a wide arc. They were quick to sink to the ground, easily evading the slow maneuver. One emerged from underneath Toby, flinging him into another, who then swatted him against a wall, only to be peeled off by another and thrown into the air again, where he was caught and suplexed by yet another. All the while, Toby could only yelp like a mangled puppy as he was helplessly ragdolled across the plaza.
"HA! Sanguine's right! This kid's a riot!"
"GET OFFA ME!" Eyes blazing, heart racing, Toby mentally yanked at the shadows connecting his current Præt'nos captor to the darkness scattered across the ground, disrupting its form long enough to free him. He scrambled back onto his feet before it could take shape again, and immediately, Toby gathered every bit of darkness surrounding him and condensed it into two giant fists, with which he proceeded to slam his opponents into the ground.
"I! REALLY! HATE! TONIGHT!"
The moment he reformed his shadow fists into spikes and drove them into two Præt'nos' necks, the two remaining Præt'nos pushed against the darkness hard enough to send Toby flying backwards and crashing into Andromeda, knocking her out of the anti-gravity field she had been hovering in.
"Ow... S... Sorry, Andy." As he helped his companion up and nodded to Aether, Toby took a good look around. Sure, his new allies were putting up a good fight, but this battle would not be easily won. The fire army was relentless. They were far from done.

"Wait..." Aether peeked around her floating friend, taking note of the white light shining behind the buildings. "That energy... I-If it's natural, it might make a good substitution for- YIPE!"
Aether jumped back and Andromeda opened her mouth in a mute yelp as Toby crashed into the Peaceful Warrior, throwing her off balance and sending her tumbling on top of him. Though she was clearly still worn out, she picked herself back up with relative ease, nodding to Toby to assure him of no harm done.
"Oh dear... I-I do hope you're holding up, Toby. That was... particularly brutal. Dear oh dear..." Aether worriedly gazed up at the boy, then out at the battle being waged around them. "This devastation won't be ending anytime soon, I fear. Our only option is to continue whittling down their forces."
Andromeda swallowed hard and anxiously looked between her two teammates.
"Whatever it takes to speed the process up, though..." Aether turned towards the light again. "Andromeda, perhaps you could consult with the woman who rescued you. In the meantime, Toby, do you think you can propel me over their defenses and into that light?"

Carol could feel the presences slowly close around her, a strange force suddenly appearing and trying to lock up her body, a shadow obviously grabbing hers. But still she didn't move, she didn't speak. All she did was focus. This guy's voice was everywhere, speaking in all directions at once and trying to throw her off track entirely. It was a cute trick...
But far better then this jerk had tried and failed all the same.
.... Slowly, her mouth moved, a smile appearing...
---------------------
The gravity shifting girl in black had panicked a fair bit when she saw the sprite suddenly triple in size and had to zip backwards at fast speeds to avoid being sent flying by it's formation.
Aquamarine watched in wide-eyed awe, her eyes taking the shape of stars in complete disbelief. "Whooooooooa~....!!!!!"
"COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" KO meanwhile was equally in disbelief, but showing it much more energetically.
Prishe meanwhile grinned at the sight, thankful for the sheer force to help. "OKAY!! GUYS!! THIS IS OUR CHANCE!! START PUSHING THEM BACK!!!" She saw the Praetnos shadows hesitate at the sight of the sprite.
And she took full advantage.
Using the powers given to her by the goddess Cosmos, she zipped over at two shadowy creatures and quickly karate chopped the back of their necks, kicking away three more before they could sneak up on her. Aquamarine heard the kicking and quickly rounded her Naginata back around, using it as a pole vault to jump high into the air. "HOOOO-AAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!"
When her weapon struck down on the ground, it struck down HARD, the sheer energy released tripping up a number of the monsters, leaving them open for Bloodstone and Garnet.
Kat meanwhile, momentarily taken aback by the sprite, regained herself and dispelled the anti-gravity, gently letting the person trapped in her bubble to plop to the ground. "Sorry! Don't worry we got this!" She smiles and zips towards the Praetnos herself, jumping over one and karate kicking one in the back of the neck. She remembered at least one person shouting about that previously. As she did this, she noticed some debris from Aquamarine's attack and quickly picked it up in an antigravity bubble, launching them at the Praetnos at fast speeds.
-------------------------------------
Carol's grin was almost obscene as she felt the darkness close almost completely around her-...
THEN HER HAND SHOT OUT INTO THE DARKNESS AND GRABBED SOMETHING. When she yanked the arm back, she was happy to find that she had, indeed, grabbed Choleric, the general looking baffled, almost startled, and in the darkness? In the Darkness where she had no shadow? In his own realm? There was nowhere left to run. Sure the Praetnos were all around her, but she didn't care.
"GOTCHA YOU SLIPPERY LIL JOKER~." Her body started glowing, the other praetnos couldn't even get close..
All but Choleric, her hand, Her FIST TIGHTLY CLOSED AROUND HIS NECK KEEPING HIM FROM VANISHING ON HER.
Her expression was fierce, that grin still prominent, it's air almost sadistic but fun-loving.
"You wanna know how strong this island is tough guy~?" She grinned, more light building up around her arm. "Well... I can't name any guys off the top of my head... But I know there are people on this island a LOT stronger then I am~. You wanna keep up this war~? Go right ahead. I look forward to seeing JUST HOW BADLY YOU'LL GET YER PATOOKIES HANDED TO YA~."
From outside, it almost looked like an orb of darkness was crawling about, slithering about on the earth, trying to move but being incapable of doing so. One could tell a light was somewhere within, but the darkness was deep and dark and it was hard to see it. It almost looked like the light was vainly struggling against it...

Garnet knows what to do. The other fighters can focus on the real villains - it's her job to do what she does best. Thin the crowd. Keep them on their toes. Stay in sync.
She goes straight for the tripped ones, but wastes no time darting away to leave the rest to Bloodstone. Wherever a monster strays to cause more damage than has already been done, she somehow appears, making quick work of them with powerful gauntlets, ones flashing with golden blades. She's damn near a blur as she leaps and dashes across the plaza, leaving no foul thing in her wake.
What a star.

Beth kept working on the shadow troops. Tendrils of gray, blue, pink and magenta warped flesh struck out at the soldiers' weak spots as the crystal armor parried their blows. A few crystals flaked off and launched towards those she considered opponents.
Her concentration snapped for a brief second as the large metal being showed up.
Chrys continued to stab her opponents while summoning torrents of water to help douse the flames.

The electrifying, Metallic golem charged through the fray, slamming into the Shadowy Beasts while it soon started swinging, breaking a few apart. The newly transformed woman in the mech suit was happy to lend a hand, darting in front of many of her allies to slice the enemies in half. "Been a long time since I've felt this good!" she laughed, he suit's arm soon becoming a gun of sorts. With one shot, a large lump of metal slammed into a beast's form, the metal noticeably singed. "If anyone needs a wrecking ball to do some damage with, let me know!"
"Ooh, ooh! Over here!" Nora cheered, getting her hammer ready. With a steady laugh, the woman in the suit fired a shot toward Nora-
WHICH SHE EFFORTLESSLY HAMMERED INTO ABOUT TEN OF THE PRAET'NOS AHEAD, CLUMPING THEM TOGETHER.
A giant sword swing handled the group, the militaristic woman still laughing. "Wow! You really know how to throw a party!"
"Gimme another!" Nora Declared, rearing back and sending the next ball of metal flying up high- hopefully toward the center of their invasion.
Meanwhile, up above, Annabelle smiled. "Maybe I could make a big naturoid if they could supply enough mana," she thought to herself, sending splash after splash of water towards the flames.
